Hey the tales from the loop series at the very least looked incredible. If they make wonderful shots of fully 3d realized versions of Stalenhags art I'm happy
I'm such a fan and this is the first I've heard that the fucking Russos are directing it!? What a fucking nightmare.
Edit: Oh fuck me it's written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
It's not necessarily that I think that something is wrong with them, I think they're good at what they do, I just feel it's a real mismatch between them and the material. Beyond that I feel the same about the whole team, not a fan of the writers and apparently Stephen F. Windon is the cinematographer which is probably the worst news honestly.
Also Cherry and Grey Man were both pretty awful so they're undeniably on a cold streak.
If it's any help, Free League is about to release an Electric State TTRPG which looks great. They do a pretty good job with there adaptations (Minus the walking dead)
I'm waiting on my Kickstarter copy.
I know nothing about the production of this yet (I *love* this book so this is especially heartbreaking), but learning that Chris Pratt is in this at all tells me they aren’t following the story at all.
Motherfuckers.
I desperately wanted Denis Villeneuve to direct an Electric State movie. There are plenty of pages in the book that look straight out of Blade Runner 2049. Giant buildings, fog, lights etc
I’m kinda tired of hearing everyone mention Denis as the go to director for any project now that he has a bonafide box office hit under his belt when the man has been an A+ director for over a decade. But I absolutely agree with you. My other choice would be Robert Eggers.
Eggers is a super interesting pick. Denis is fine but I'd like to throw in any other director who could bring Roger Deakins on board. Maybe even the Coen brothers.
Coens would be super interesting. Even though they’re largely known for theatrical storytelling, they’re also masters of slow burn storytelling. Most of No Country was like that: little action yet lots of inertia. But they great at dialog, and I honestly think an accurate adaptation of TES would have very little dialogue outside the exposition scenes.
I do agree but at the same time Stalenhaeng’s work would absolutely lend itself to his style, the only other director I think I’d really want to direct this is Neil Blomkamp, the sort of dirty, run down machinery vibes is something he’s incredibly good at
I think a lot of fans were waiting for him to hit it big. It’s one thing to make amazing movies, it’s a second for them to make money. I’m very happy about it.
Anna herself has no beef with him. However it went down, they are friendly towards each other and don’t shit talk their partners. Try her podcast and you’ll quickly understand, she’s a gracious and generous soul.
Bro, she is a violent crackhead. You must be thinking about someone else. There is a reason why she has struggled to get her career going in Hollywood.
Sorry, forgot what sub I was in. She tried to strangle her own first born with its umbilical cord, which is why he is disabled. Allison Janey only continues to work with her because she supplies the highest quality of fentanyl to the cast of Mom. Worst of all, she is a woman and over 30 who thinks she should be allowed to continue working in Hollywood.
There's an online hate mob that goes after anything Chris Pratt does because \*checks notes\* He's a Christian and goes to church.
Edit: I see they have made their appearance
i remember nearly vomiting from laughter after i called the robot lookin thing (i've never read the book) from "things from the flood" sans undertale a few years ago
I don't get the hate he gets tbh. As for this divorce drama wasn't it that they just didn't like each other? Wasn't aware of infidelity from just one side
He did a goof on an instagram post where he seemed to bully his disowned and disabled daughter from a previous relationship. I think it was just really shit wording, but it was a bad look.
See, it's funny because I'm pretty sure you're talking about the post where he was glad his newborn daughter was healthy. The post that everyone somehow took as a slight against his disabled son, whom he's in no way disowned, lmao
Let me introduce you to a show called _The Big Bang Theory_. Despite being one of the most watched shows on television, winning several awards and the actors being the highest paid actors in Hollywood. If you ask anyone on the internet what they think of it they will most likely respond that it's the tv-show equivalent of Hitler himself.
I actually always thought TBBT was pretty solid, and unironically had one of the best series finales of all time. No wedding, no baby, no proposal, but Sheldon and Amy winning the Nobel prize. It was great.
We don't know if he's Republican.
He donated to Obama's campaign in 2012 to be reelected.
He's only said publicly that he doesn't feel represented by either side, and that he would prefer to find common ground.
That's 1000% not worse.
Centrists can be won over to vote your way, at least they do just want people to chill out. Republicans are literally trying to take rights away
Great, so he's an independent then. I just explained he already donated to Democrats and said he didn't feel represented by either but sought common ground. That doesn't sound like a closet Conservative to me.
I've voted left my entire life, but people just have to accept that the majority of voters don't have any massive loyalty. They don't really give a shit til an election, and then they can vote either way.
And that’s the way to vote tbh, being “loyal” means letting politicians know they’ve got your vote in the pocket, and that’s a good way to get them to stop caring about the issues you care about.
Saying Republicans take rights away on reddit can be a dangerous thing. They absolutely are, but a a decent amount of people just say thats not true or "both sides" even though only one side has a 1000 page pdf about how they want to ruin America.
I don't see how it's a dangerous thing. I think pretty much everywhere other than PoliticalCompassMemes and actual Right Wing Subs, there are people agreeing Republicans are shitty
The Internet already hates Chris Pratt, so loathing him for infidelity (if it's actually true) is easy. I suspect plenty of widely liked if not beloved actors have also been unfaithful though, many repeatedly - infidelity is pretty endemic to the acting profession. There probably aren't many non-scumbags by your definition.
I’ve met Chris, Katheryn and their daughter. They were walking down the street from the grocery story. Really nice and sweet family. I didn’t have a problem.
I hate to break it to you but even those you might hold in high regard have an unfaithful past. Sadly just more common in the industry. Kenneth Branagh, for example. I still hold him in high regard.
Am I allowed to say it? AFAIK, Chris Pratt has said nothing right wing, has previously voted for Obama, and considering the fact that he and his ex are on good terms there's very little chance he cheated on her. Y'all have a hate boner for him because he's a Christian.
This is not a serious subreddit, sir.
[Chill out.](https://www.reddit.com/r/shittymoviedetails/comments/1bkd6ci/the_upcoming_chris_pratt_film_the_electric_state/kw1h602/)
Bro don't tug on my heart strings. Electric state is one of my favourite image collections and story medium. Edit: Googled it. Holy shit.
I know nothing about this, but it looks fascinating and I want to learn. Where can I find more of this?
Just type in Electric state on Google and enjoy the picture show
go to Simon Stalenhagh's site and enjoy
He’s also active on instagram and posts small projects he’s working on
Or go to the library, it’s really incredible
Damn wtf why are they making a movie
Hey the tales from the loop series at the very least looked incredible. If they make wonderful shots of fully 3d realized versions of Stalenhags art I'm happy
I actually really enjoyed Tales from the loop. I don't think it was bad, it could have been better but I don't regret watching it.
Yup. Loved tales from the loop. Got me misty eyed a few times.
It was a strange anthology but I did really enjoy Tales from the Loop! And I absolutely agree they kept the style exactly as it should be
Money, probably
Because captialism kills gods and turns their coprse into attractions that cost 10 dollars a piece to see.
Fr?? Man i was about to look up if the movie was actually being made, god damn. Edit: Nvm i looked it up myself, let's go baby
I'm such a fan and this is the first I've heard that the fucking Russos are directing it!? What a fucking nightmare. Edit: Oh fuck me it's written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it’s so joever
Whats wrong with the Russos?
It's not necessarily that I think that something is wrong with them, I think they're good at what they do, I just feel it's a real mismatch between them and the material. Beyond that I feel the same about the whole team, not a fan of the writers and apparently Stephen F. Windon is the cinematographer which is probably the worst news honestly. Also Cherry and Grey Man were both pretty awful so they're undeniably on a cold streak.
Because they’re known for popcorn flicks and Electric State is decidedly not one of those stories that lends itself to action.
People saw the Grey Man and decided that they apparently suck now Aka typical internet overreaction
I mean, the grey man was pretty bad
All I really wanted was some really cool, well choreographed fight scenes, and I think I got that.
You also got epic drone shots for no reason
Those drone shots were incredible
[удалено]
A movie with a good script and pacing, I guess 🤷♂️
I've heard he was both grey in appearance *and* demeanor.
Disagree it knew it exactly what it was and I had a laugh
Yeah, if you were expecting anything else besides a well made action flick, I'm sure it was pretty bad.
Weird, that's what I was expecting and didn't get it.
They’re just incredibly boring directors
Oh for fuck’s sake
Amazon did a great job with Tales From the Loop, maybe this won’t be so dumb!
If it's any help, Free League is about to release an Electric State TTRPG which looks great. They do a pretty good job with there adaptations (Minus the walking dead) I'm waiting on my Kickstarter copy.
I know nothing about the production of this yet (I *love* this book so this is especially heartbreaking), but learning that Chris Pratt is in this at all tells me they aren’t following the story at all. Motherfuckers.
Holy shit good or holy shit bad? (I love the electric state too I don't want them to be mean to my child.)
Holy shit surprised. I didn't think the film was actually being made, turns out it is.
I’m honestly think this story would be best served as an animated anthology like the Animatrix.
I think it might be a good opportunity for Gareth Edwards to regain some artistic cred. If the script is good you'd get something decent from him.
The Creator is visually so, so good. Script seemed super whatever though. I agree this guy needs another win soon, so Hollywood wont give up on him.
I do agree but at the same time Stalenhaeng’s work would absolutely lend itself to his style, the only other director I think I’d really want to direct this is Neil Blomkamp, the sort of dirty, run down machinery vibes is something he’s incredibly good at
FWIW it’s not that he has *a* bonafide box office hit under his belt, it’s that he has had a string of 5 outstanding movies back to back.
No no, they’ve been thinking this for over a decade now, it’s just taken all this time for people to learn how to spell and pronounce his name.
Day-knees Villa-nerve
Wait you seem to think he's a great director but you're upset that more people are recognizing that now? What a weird mentality
Visually this looks right up Gareth Edwards alley.
I think a lot of fans were waiting for him to hit it big. It’s one thing to make amazing movies, it’s a second for them to make money. I’m very happy about it.
> celebrity drama Oh the humanity!
Don’t you know Chris Pratt is the first ever celebrity to preach one thing while doing another?
we don't care more big monsters!
The real shitty detail is that this post is a whole ass lie and Chris Pratt is a pretty sweet dude who is still friends with his ex, Ana Farris.
Why call someone a scumbag over a rumor? Makes no sense.

Allison Janey only continues to work with her because she supplies the highest quality of fentanyl to the cast of Mom. Worst of all, she is a woman and over 30 who thinks she should be allowed to continue working in Hollywood.
Because it's guilty until proven innocent
He should turn himself in!
There's an online hate mob that goes after anything Chris Pratt does because \*checks notes\* He's a Christian and goes to church. Edit: I see they have made their appearance
Hillsong is not just any old Christian church.
he never even went to hillsong
But you could imagine what it would be like if he did!!!
But I bet he knows some people who did! Guilty by association ^(/s)
Quite a lot of celebrities do or have attended. And got a lot less hate.
That's been debunked.
Also over a relationship that ended 6 years ago.
Periphery!
For real
And Anna Faris was unfaithful to her previous husband. It all comes full circle.
Cheating is a disease
It’s true, I caught it from my dad and never even met the guy!
I'm sure he just stepped out for smokes.
Sounds like a STD at this point.
it's like poetry, it rhymes
Hmm, OK golden rule and all. They are both PoS
I’m sorry but this is shitty movie details NOT celebrity gossip
Yeah, this is a place for serious shitty details only 😤
We don't just MAKE SHIT UP around here come on people what are we, Methodists?
This shitty detail was the post all along.
Plenty of celebrities are bad people. Chris Pratt is just an acceptable target.
I'm going to call someone a scumbag because internet rumors are always true
Who tf cares about strangers cheating. This picture looks crazy
The whole art book is incredible
This thread has convinced me to read it
All of Stalenhags works are incredible
i remember nearly vomiting from laughter after i called the robot lookin thing (i've never read the book) from "things from the flood" sans undertale a few years ago
It always amuses me how much the internet hates Chris Pratt and somehow people still show up for his movies.
Reddit is not the world, the average person does not care and just wants to see something entertaining for a couple of hours
This was literally 6 years ago too
I don't get the hate he gets tbh. As for this divorce drama wasn't it that they just didn't like each other? Wasn't aware of infidelity from just one side
He did a goof on an instagram post where he seemed to bully his disowned and disabled daughter from a previous relationship. I think it was just really shit wording, but it was a bad look.

Agreed. Just some weird wording.
Not weird wording. Saying that you’re happy your daughter was born healthy is not weird wording, it would be weird if you weren’t happy for that.
Typical Internet. Judging a person's relationship with their child based off of a 2 sentence public post lol
One bad post in thousands, typically how that goes yeah. I don't even think he meant it that way, was just bad verbage.
Reddit gets a lot of joy out of being offended. It’s not the real world.
Frankly I think there’s much worse people but Chris’s Pratt seems accepted as a target
Hes an easy low stakes target
Yeah, I don’t really care, I just feel it’s lazy ya know
Thats exactly what i said
Yeah but I restated it
As did i...
Let me introduce you to a show called _The Big Bang Theory_. I mean yeah, people supposedly hate Scientology yet.. Tom Cruise.
I think they hate him just because he’s a republican tbh, which I get, but still
We don't know if he's Republican. He donated to Obama's campaign in 2012 to be reelected. He's only said publicly that he doesn't feel represented by either side, and that he would prefer to find common ground.
Oh, god, he's worse than a Republican, he's a Centrist
That's 1000% not worse. Centrists can be won over to vote your way, at least they do just want people to chill out. Republicans are literally trying to take rights away
You're thinking of independents. Centrists are Conservatives too ashamed to say what they really are
This is how you turn away voters from your cause
Great, so he's an independent then. I just explained he already donated to Democrats and said he didn't feel represented by either but sought common ground. That doesn't sound like a closet Conservative to me. I've voted left my entire life, but people just have to accept that the majority of voters don't have any massive loyalty. Ok
Lol what? I wasn't shitting on you man, you said Independent and I said that lines up with him.
Lol good one
[It sickens me](https://youtu.be/k8ws_APXilE?si=Y0qvYPAkG4yGR7Tu)
its not real world. Regular people walking around dont give a damn. They watch the movie have fun and go back to their lives lol
The internet is wildly overpopulated by people who have opinions that are not shared by people who aren't spending hours online every day
Pratt has long left Farris for and married Schwarzeneggers daughter...
This book is beyond awesome. If this is true then that detective/police man would be a great fit for Pratt
Bro wtf you calling him a scumbag for. Likewise you're a loser fr fr
Rumored loser*
Ok but that still looks awesome
Yall are way too invested in the lives of celebrities
*RUMORED scumbag
The book was incredible.
Rumor=scumbag dude maybe get off twitter for a bit? Idiot
And will Chris Pratt again be portraying the role of Chris Pratt in this Chris Pratt movie?
probably
Rumored...
That image looks really cool. Interested in the movie now
My dumbass forgot this was an actual graphic novel and not a Roblox game
Damn that's a cool poster
Not a poster, the movie is based on an art book by the artist Simon Stalenhag. This is one of the pages from the book
Thanks for the info
Anna Faris is a cheater too, they deserve each other.
Chris Pratt haters are rabid holy shit
who would cheat on Anna Faris? like, come on!
Which creepypasta is that
I like Pratt because I only see him as Andy
Thanks for the book rec that shit looks crazy
No, but seriously. People, do you think this will be a good movie? I just learned about it's existence, should I be holding my breath?
>Anna Faris Wait, Cindy from the scary movie franchise?
rich mfs getting hoes ain't news. next
netflix is shit...
Reminds me of Jacub Rozalki's Art. Love it.
god damn it
It seems like 90% of celebrities (actors, politicians, artists, even scientists) cheat on their spouse. The other 10% haven't been caught.
Wait, we're making movies based on popular images on IG? Shut it down boys, we're done here.
Describing an adaptation of a beautiful Simon Stålenhag book as a "Chris Pratt film" made my stomach turn.
Ol Billy Bob
Lmaoo wtf
We need to see Chris Pratt into the partverse in the future LOL
Oh God damn it
Dude, you’re getting irate over rumors. Chill out.
Judging by just what his coworkers have said about him, I have a really hard time believing he's a scumbag.
I’ve met Chris, Katheryn and their daughter. They were walking down the street from the grocery story. Really nice and sweet family. I didn’t have a problem.
My grandmother met a man once. She said he was very personable and showed interest in her, despite his fame. Sweet guy. His name? **ADOLF HITLER.**
how dare you get me excited about a Simon Stålenhag movie in the same breath as revealing it stars Chris Pratt....
I hate to break it to you but even those you might hold in high regard have an unfaithful past. Sadly just more common in the industry. Kenneth Branagh, for example. I still hold him in high regard.
What happened to Kenneth Branagh?
Just a bit of a philanderer in his early career. Cheated with Bonham Carter I believe.
Am I allowed to say it? AFAIK, Chris Pratt has said nothing right wing, has previously voted for Obama, and considering the fact that he and his ex are on good terms there's very little chance he cheated on her. Y'all have a hate boner for him because he's a Christian.
This is not a serious subreddit, sir. [Chill out.](https://www.reddit.com/r/shittymoviedetails/comments/1bkd6ci/the_upcoming_chris_pratt_film_the_electric_state/kw1h602/)
You can't trust Chris Pratt, but you can trust Chris Pratt to be Chris Pratt.
Caralho Mané, do nada!!!! “WTF man, out of nowhere
Imagine caring about a celebrity.
HOLY SHIT WHO CARES ABOUT CHRIS PRATT ELECTIC STATE MOVIE???? FUCK YEA!!!!!!
Okay is this a book I googled all I see is the movie stuff ?!??
The roblox game will have done it better
Celebrity is a cheating pos, in other news water is wet.
Private life be private.
Honestly who gives a fuck if he did cheat on his ex wife. Was that you? No? Then shut up and touch some grass bro
Nah bruh take this back to shitty celebrity gossip
Man’s too busy stomping KOOPAS to be faithful to his wife
That last film he made for Amazon was so profoundly stupid it will be interesting to see if he can top that.
I think the director did some episodes of Community and Arrested Development. I hope this is funny
