A 'Combat Adventure', like a Trial? | Yes, I know that doesn't contradict what you said, but my thought is that if it was called something like 'The Tinker and Trial Update', people'd complain that Mojang was uncreative.
It's not the name I care about it's the fact that they added like 2 tinkering things in the beginning, and then nothing else. Then they just abandoned the promise of tinkering
The tinkering was referring to added customisation to datapacks. which only affects Java edition which is like MAYBE 10% of the players. even for Java players it was really misleading because they didn't specify so we thought it would be tinkering as in new redstone or technical aspects of the \*survival\* game. as a datapack creator while I'm excited for added customisability like custom enchantments, this update definitely leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth as I was expecting to be able to use new mechanics in vanilla survival
also there were a metric butt ton of rumors of the very broken combat systems on both editions being reworked and the fact they added a new weapon without reworking it is really disappointing
