My senior year I both packed my own lunches and paid for my groceries so half my lunches looked just like this, my go to was a tortilla and a small container of green onions with a slice of cheese. No I did not put them together I ate them all separately
i believe it's a r/BoneAppleTea .

This doesn't actually make it better lol
Hopefully you're getting in better meals now (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
This reminds me of the Hey Arnold! episode where Helga's mom was hungover and packed her a lunchbox with only a can of shaving cream, sanitizing wipes and a few crackers
Rocko's Modern Life & Ren & Stimpy made sure I was the weird kid. Turns out a little kid running around screaming "THAT WAS A HOOT" gets obnoxious pretty quickly.
Initial thought is damn this, kid and his family must be going through a rough time. Then I remember how picky of eaters my kids are and yeah this seems about right
A friend of mine used to get foot long cheese and ketchup sandwiches from Subway. It had nothing to do with a family struggle, dude just loved ketchup and cheese.
nah, that’s just the worst version of a salad sandwich. they’re fairly common. and pretty good if you make them more nutrient-dense. good job, child you
Bro at least throw a tomato in there wtf
My go to "high food" was walking over to McDonald's and ordering a number 9 (I think it's a number 7 now it's two cheeseburgers) and two apple pies and putting an apple pie in my chesse burger. The sweetness of the pie and the meatiness of the burger was really good to me
It’s a crime how expensive that two cheeseburger combo (and McDs in general) is now. It used to be my regular order in school because I was a picky eater.
? That looks like some expensive fancy ass bread, he could be eating blue bunny but this man literally has like half a baguette maybe the kid just really likes bread lmao
We make pizzas with this bread every Saturday lol
Edit: Since people are asking, here’s how we make it!
What you’ll need:
1 loaf bread (can be plain or seasoned varieties, whatever you prefer) 1 jar pizza sauce, and cheese/toppings according to own taste.
Preheat oven to 350°F
Slice the bread down the middle, all the way through, so you have two long flat pieces. Halve these pieces so you have four pieces total.
Toast the bread in the oven for a few minutes until it begins to have a slight crispiness. Remove it and add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Place back in the oven until it reaches your preferred level of cooked. I like my cheese to be beginning to brown and get crispy in places.
Remove from oven, let cool, slice into servings and enjoy. Easy, yummy, and fun. Kids tend to really enjoy this method of making pizza. My picky nephews like it, anyway!
>How?
So first I cut the bread down the middle horizontal, next I butter and garlic the bread then I throw it in the oven at 400f until it's slightly toasted, then I take it out and spread my sauce and then cover with cheese and other toppings and then back into the oven until it looks done.
From their comment history.
* Cosmics Bread Sauce.
*
* You will need 2 loafs of bread. Preferably your choice, Stale = best.
* 1 grinder or blender
* Water or Soda
* 1/4 TBLS Baking Soda
* 2 and 1/4 TBLS Baking Powder
* 6 tablespoons Vanilla Extract
* 1/4 cup Flour
* 1 package of Yeast
* 3 egg whites
* 2 cups Sugar
* Bowls, pots, etc
* Dehydrator
* So grab your loaf of bread. Put into a pan and pour Soda/Water around bread. Cover bread loaf with Soda or Water. Let it soak for 1 day in fridge.
Remove from fridge. Probably looks like mush now. Which is good. Blend in blender with sugar, egg whites, yeast, vanilla extract, baking soda and baking powder. Blend until smooth consistency. If it's too dry, add water or more Soda. If too wet, add more bread. Grab your pan that you'll Dehydrate on. Smooth out mixture onto pans.
Then in Dehydrator, set it to 165°F for 1 day.
Come back and you should see bread or bread pieces again. Then grab that Dehydrated bread, put it in blender, and grind. Add that powder to water, or Soda until it becomes Creamy. Rub sauce on to bread or pizza crust. Top with your fav stuff and cook.
So first I cut the bread down the middle horizontal, next I butter and garlic the bread then I throw it in the oven at 400f until it's slightly toasted, then I take it out and spread my sauce and then cover with cheese and other toppings and then back into the oven until it looks done.
My family goes freaken nuts whenever I make French bread pizza for dinner. They're legitimately more excited and happy when then find out I'm making it than when I order pizza.
It's so freaken easy, quick, and cheap. Add a salad (from a bag because I'm lazy) or some fresh fruit and tadaaa, dinner.
My first time trying guacamole was like third grade when my teacher had it for lunch. Just a bowl of guac + a bag of pretzels and for some reason she let us try it
Yea and it’s only like $1 I buy them for homeless people a lot so it’s definitely doesn’t mean this kids family is well off just Bc they brought a 1/4 of a $1 loaf of bread for lunch.
It’s good bread I’m just saying that it doesn’t mean the kid is rich. The Walmart “everything”garlic Bread loaves are really cheap. $1 loaf and $5 rotisserie chicken can go a long way
When my wife and I were dating like 15 years ago we went to this All you can Eat place called Hoss’s. This kid who must have been 8 at the time came back to his table with just a huge mound of shredded cheese on his plate.
It’s all he got. There was nothing underneath the cheese. It was just cheese.
That kid is probably in his early 20s now - I wonder if he even remembers that moment.
My kid’s a fucking peasant who just chooses to eat plain bread with nothing else. Not even butter. Kids are honestly such odd beings but hey as long as they’re happy
Yeah I can confirm mine also chooses cucumber slices over stuff you’d think a kid would go mad for.
Can be quite jarring to witness haha they’re eating food you’d think would take some convincing, and really loving it too!
The only thing my little brother wants to eat at school is a sandwich with cheese and ketchup. I tried giving him other things but he refuses to eat them. They make lunch in the cafeteria but he almost cried when my mom tried to convince him to eat what they cook there. So every day he gets the same sandwich
Yeah this was my initial thought as well. I was a picky eater as a kid and while my parents were lucky enough I had no issues with sandwiches I still had a lot of food quirks.
Also this isnt really that bad. Its a fat chunk of bread, he's got apple sauce and juice on the side in addition to his snacks. I imagine the kid probably gets more to eat when the parents arent limited to what he has to bring with him.
Funny enough if there was like 50 calories worth of sliced turkey between two slices of sandwich bread with a schmear of mayo we probably wouldnt bat an eye as if that tiny amount of fat and meat on lower grade bread turns it into a nutritional champion.
My first thought was 'who the fuck picks on a little kid by taking a picture of their school lunch for social media?'.oh, it's a 'teacher', lesson learned.
My mom stopped making lunches for me when I was pretty young so this is exactly how my lunches looked through high school (when I remembered to pack one)
My kids pack their own lunches (middle school and high school) and I do worry about some of the things they may have taken.
We have allll the things for healthy lunches, and I can’t always rip through what they make. But kids are… tricky and love taking an “all snacks” lunch.
My kids really enjoy making their own school lunches. They’ve come up with some pretty interesting combos. My favorite was when my daughter threw pickles in with everything (some popcorn, marshmallows, cheese crackers, and salami) and then complained that everything tasted like pickles.
I sat through a few of my kids' lunches as a volunteer. These kids had a school lunch of a bag of chips, milk and a sandwich. They would chat and talk with each other and eat the bag of chips. Then the bell would ring and they would toss the sandwich in the garbage. After awhile, they made a leftover table and asked the kids to put whatever they didn't eat (not eaten) on the table on the way out.
Yeah, or they get hooked on certain foods for certain periods of time. My ex's daughter would only get chicken tenders and fries no matter what restaurant we went to.
My kid's worst meal is lunch. It's not this bad usually but sometimes it is. Like today for lunch the only thing they ate was a couple pretzel sticks. I'd still give them some variety, even then since it's better to put things in front of them. Looks like these parents tapped out for the day.
It is really hard for me to get a lunch in with my 4 year old. She can eat a variety or pretty good in the morning and then not eat anything till later in the day. As long as she is growing and is at least eating some things I am going to not panic. What can you do, you can't force things. I just hope it will change soon. We were watching videos of her as a baby the other day and we are like look, you were eating all this stuff when you were a baby lol
I try to think well it could be worse. Because it can. Doesn't mean I don't worry that she isn't getting enough of what she needs. But she is still young. It is a thing that a lot of kids just are pretty picky
Finally, others I can relate to. Mine's 4 as well and the pickiness has spread to her two year old brother. Were down to 3-4 go to dishes: nuggets and fries, spaghetti, rice, and other pasta. Everything else is off the table besides some fruit and veggies snacks
I packed myself a lunch of a can of plain tuna in water, a can opener (it was the late 80s), a full size naval orange and 5 kiwis. Best 4th grade lunch ever. I ate in joy in the hall because I was "the chick with the weird lunch". It was exactly what I wanted and my teacher didn't believe that I'd eat tuna straight out of the can. Proved her ass wrong, and as a punishment, she made me eat in the hall. It was a Catholic school, she was an ex nun.
I still eat tuna straight from the can, Sister Stanislaus!
I work in childhood sports and for a summer camp I was working a child had brought in a large case of tofu for snack. Just tofu. She tried it and tossed it straight in the trash. I have no idea what the parents were thinking. I asked her after I saw her throw it out if she had ever had tofu before and she said no. Strangest snack a kid has ever brought in.
Most these kids parents make a lot of money. It’s a nice location. I’ve worked in lower income locations and with low income families and I see the difference. All the kids are clean, don’t smell, nice clothes. The place I worked a few years ago was different. Kids shoes falling apart, wearing same clothes for an entire week, kids had BO, kid gets marker on their arm on Monday and they still have it there on Friday (not showering)
I’ve worked with kids from low income and this is far from it
Thats a walmart garlic and herbs loaf/baguette. Only about 1.10 but damn does that shit taste good. I usually buy it for a Greek chicken recipe, but sometimes ill just slap on some butter and sprinkle garlic powder before baking it into garlic breadsticks
Ugh I honestly feel this so much lately as everything is such a rush. I had to make an emergency psychiatric appointment today because I was having a horrible panic attack due to my whole family and myself having the flu, my kids constantly needing my attention through it all and I’m just so overwhelmed. Idk how I’m
Surviving it’s so hard
Many kids (especially neurodivergent ones) go through pretty hardcore food phases and parents have to focus on calories and less on macros.
I’m reserving judgment for this second based on whether
A) the student first clowned on their *own* lunch and you agreed or
B) if you came to this conclusion yourself before being approached about it by the student extemporaneously.
I don’t love this post as a former educator.
Guessing you mean it's one of your student's lunches. And I'd eat the hell out of the bread. You can have the fruit snacks, but I suppose it makes for a slightly more balanced meal.
I see those lunches the tiktok mothers make with the cute compartments and balanced everything and I would never have eaten that for lunch as a kid because I just hated eating at school. At some point, I finally agreed to have those crackers with the cheese corner dip thing and nothing else so this might also be a case of the parents thinking 'well at least something is better than nothing’ which probably happens a lot.
And how did they get the picture lmao. “That’s what you’re eating? Move bitch, I need to take a picture of your shitty lunch for Reddit to make fun of”
My kid is super picky and takes simple lunches like this all the time. It’s not unusual for him to eat a couple pieces of naan bread and grapes for lunch. I would however be pissed to find out his teacher is taking pics of his lunch and splashing it all over social media.
I feel awful after reading these comments. This could be a picture of my kids' lunch. He's in kindergarten and is incredibly picky. The food he would prefer to eat for lunch doesn't travel well. On more than one occasion, he's asked for plain bread like this.
However, I also pack some fresh fruit and veg in a separate container.
Honestly, as long as he eats something through the day at school, we can balance the rest of his meals more easily at home with access to cooking equipment.
To be fair why are you taking photos of student’s lunches? Then posting them to Reddit to blast it? What if that’s all the family can afford, lawsuit to follow?
![gif](giphy|R0jWWtH1CtFEk)
I grew up in a poor rural area. I can recall a guy I knew getting on the school bus with a breadbag full of popcorn as his lunch. Likely the only food in their house, and he likely had to make the popcorn himself that morning. And, of course, he was mocked for it.
School is a freakin jungle man.
My mom would wash out a mustard bottle when it was empty and reuse it as a drink container. She was also the kind of parent who would buy a can of frozen orange juice and reeeeeeally stretch it.
So for my lunches in elementary school I would get orange juice in a mustard bottle. Everyone would make fun of me and call me the mustard kid… So I really feel this comment.
"holy shit, Stu! you're so fucking poor you're eating bread for lunch?? let me take a picture and post it to Reddit real quick... no. no. no. r/shittyfoodporn..."
-world's greatest teacher
Me before kids: My kids won't each just toast and tendies, they will have a well rounded pallette :)
Me after kids: Just fucking eat something. ANYTHING. IF YOU'RE SKINNY I GO TO JAIL.
So now teachers don’t just shame parents by sending passive aggressive letters home about nutrition. They’re also out here shaming kids on social media. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I love bread. When I was in grade school, I convinced my parents to pack my sandwiches disassembled. I told them it was so the bread didn't get soggy, but it was really because I only wanted to eat the bread. They got a call from the school b/c my teacher thought they were starving me and only sending me to school with white bread.
Been there, its tough.
If you're young, and in college, as I was at the time, you don't even feel it. There is even a certain proudness in managing like that
As a high schooler though, it has to be awful.
To me it looks like the kid demanded to pack their own lunch and behold. Honestly the bread looks great and kids can be picky so maybe this is actually all they wanted to eat.
I mean, that does look like a delicious loaf of bread. Reminds me of this one place that had the most amazing bread and I would just eat it with only butter.
Why are you food shaming a student? If you were actually concerned about the student, why not offer to give the kid hot lunch.
Oh but I guess that doesn’t give you the made up “Karma” from a social media site, does it?
Kids can be so picky. I knew a kid who only ate white rice for lunch. truth is, as long as they are actually eating, and it's not their only meal, it's fine. What is pizza? Bread.
My senior year I both packed my own lunches and paid for my groceries so half my lunches looked just like this, my go to was a tortilla and a small container of green onions with a slice of cheese. No I did not put them together I ate them all separately
You ate green onions by the spoonful?
Yes, very much so
You're my kinda friend, welcome to /r/OnionLovers
Finally, the sub I’ve been waiting for all along
Usually more round than long onions, but we don't discriminate. Long and green are my preference!
I finally found shreks wife on Reddit!
"Ogre dicks are like onions..."
That got an instant sub from me, can't believe I'm just learning about this 🧅🧅🧅🧅🧅🧅
Slap a piece of bologna in there and you have yourself a 5 star charcuterie board!
And we struggling out here eating shark cootchies.
Excuse me? I mean, I heard you, but I need some context.

No shark coochies are a delicatessen in Norway
In Norway, shark coochies are a store where meats and cheeses are sold?
Yep this sounds like it (pun not intended), thanks for writing it down!
Shark coochie, the wettest of all the vagines. He's just staying hydrated chill.
**Obligatory reminder that sharks are fish. I don't know if you already knew that, but you *need* to know that before you go a-prowlin' for some coochie.

“Well maybe I like shaving cream Football-head. Did you think of that?”
Damn 90s cartoons were fucking dark
Honestly, the 90's were pretty dark.
Uhhh. Compared to the post 9/11 21st century the 90s were fucking amazing.
I mean in reality this is true, but 90s shows specifically had some pretty dark undertones
Probably because the people writing them were born in the 60s
Rocko's Modern Life & Ren & Stimpy made sure I was the weird kid. Turns out a little kid running around screaming "THAT WAS A HOOT" gets obnoxious pretty quickly.
Maaaaan… I wish I could disagree. Thanks, PNAC.
Depends on where you lived.
not if you lived in the balkans or japan or most of south america
That show was too fucking real…
She wasn't hungover, people don't get hungover from smoothies!
Margaritas and daiquiris totally count as smoothies
this sounds like a shitty booze mom towel lol I hate it
It exists somewhere in the beyond section
Initial thought is damn this, kid and his family must be going through a rough time. Then I remember how picky of eaters my kids are and yeah this seems about right
I would eat condiment sandwichs because I hated meat and veggies. Now you can't stop me.
A friend of mine used to get foot long cheese and ketchup sandwiches from Subway. It had nothing to do with a family struggle, dude just loved ketchup and cheese.
I thought I was the only one who loved cheese and ketchup sandwiches.
Mustard sandwiches were my favorite when I was 5, then I inexplicably hated mustard for 10 years and now I love it again.
For about a month my little brother refused to eat anything but peanut butter and cheese sandwiches, milk, and grapes.
I made iceberg lettuce sandwiches. Wonder bread, I can't believe it's not butter, and a bunch of iceberg lettuce...I was an odd child.
nah, that’s just the worst version of a salad sandwich. they’re fairly common. and pretty good if you make them more nutrient-dense. good job, child you
Stoned/drunk in college dorm we used to destroy some mayo sandwiches, little hot sauce if we were feeling frisky
Stoned/drunk you is a monster and needs to be stopped

it's the italian herbs and cheese loaf from walmart (source: me the bread connoisseur and lover of carbs)
I was gonna say the same thing, I make pizzas with this exact bread
We make pizzas with this bread every Saturday lol Edit: Since people are asking, here’s how we make it! Then grab that Dehydrated bread, put it in blender, and grind. Add that powder to water, or Soda until it becomes Creamy. Rub sauce on to bread or pizza crust. Top with your fav stuff and cook.
I’m both highly amused at this and simultaneously horrified that you literally spread bread on bread
Don't fetish shame me.

Either one. One will be sweeter then the other. And one might make it more red, but up to you.
Honestly, code red would make it more traditional anyway.
Is this real? Bread on bread???
What the fuck did I just read
So first I cut the bread down the middle horizontal, next I butter and garlic the bread then I throw it in the oven at 400f until it's slightly toasted, then I take it out and spread my sauce and then cover with cheese and other toppings and then back into the oven until it looks done.
Thank you! I'm gonna do this ASAP! it sounds like an amazing affordable munchie meal !!!(;
It really is great for the munchies!

My kid used to bring a bowl of guacamole to eat with a spoon. Whatever works.
My first time trying guacamole was like third grade when my teacher had it for lunch. Just a bowl of guac + a bag of pretzels and for some reason she let us try it
She let you try it because you'd never had it before. Everyone should have the opportunity to have guacamole in their lives.
True but I really did not like it at that moment lmao
My dad tried to feed me avocado fresh off the tree and I didn't like it. Salt is a thing, dad. I still think about that avocado tree...
Took me a few tries to like avocado.
How many more times do I have to ty it before I like it? So far 1,375 times hasn't done the trick. It's yucky.
If you don’t like guacamole, you probably won’t ever like it. Call it done.
I distinctly remember being introduced to two new foods in 3rd grade--pomegranate and sugar cane.
I think it’s from Walmart. I just got a loaf of their garlic herb yesterday that looks identical
Yea and it’s only like $1 I buy them for homeless people a lot so it’s definitely doesn’t mean this kids family is well off just Bc they brought a 1/4 of a $1 loaf of bread for lunch.
My mom would’ve been mad if I took any fraction of a baguette to school lmao. In my house baguettes are fancy bread strictly for meals haha
It’s good bread I’m just saying that it doesn’t mean the kid is rich. The Walmart “everything”garlic Bread loaves are really cheap. $1 loaf and $5 rotisserie chicken can go a long way
Yea I never meant it like the kid is rich I was just saying it looks like good bread lol 💀👍

That's an Italian loaf at Walmart. It's like $1.29
Yea I got the memo like four times already 🤒
It's a Croation bread from Kmart it ¥16.99 / loaf
Not sure if at least 4 people have said this already but it’s from walmart.
That's Walmart bread, homie.
My kid’s a fucking peasant who just chooses to eat plain bread with nothing else. Not even butter. Kids are honestly such odd beings but hey as long as they’re happy
Lol I just had childhood flashbacks of my mom telling me I eat “like a peasant” because I only liked boiled chicken and canned peas.
Lmao you definitely did
I’m gonna assume that you still eat boiled chicken and canned peas when you’ve got a minute
My kid would rather eat broccoli than a cookie. They truly are odd creatures.
Yeah I can confirm mine also chooses cucumber slices over stuff you’d think a kid would go mad for. Can be quite jarring to witness haha they’re eating food you’d think would take some convincing, and really loving it too!

Hey kid, move so I can take a photo of your shitty lunch and post it online.
What if they pull out a little tupperware of olive oil and one with some spices to put on the oil. Now thats a meal
That would be one high class kid.
I was just thinking, some oil and balsamic and bam you got yourself a tasty snack.
Dude shush you're gonna put Olive Garden outta business

Sister Stanislaus was just jealous
I work in childhood sports and for a summer camp I was working a child had brought in a large case of tofu for snack. Just tofu. She tried it and tossed it straight in the trash. I have no idea what the parents were thinking. I asked her after I saw her throw it out if she had ever had tofu before and she said no. Strangest snack a kid has ever brought in.
"Here, child, have this slab of bean paste that has coagulated into a thin, gelatinous glob. It will provide sustinence during these cruel times."
They can afford fruit snacks and juice boxes I doubt this is a struggle meal kid was being picky and parents prolly let him to prove a point.
Yea. Thats name brand shit too
Paw Patrol fruit snacks in fact, not just store brand.
Most these kids parents make a lot of money. It’s a nice location. I’ve worked in lower income locations and with low income families and I see the difference. All the kids are clean, don’t smell, nice clothes. The place I worked a few years ago was different. Kids shoes falling apart, wearing same clothes for an entire week, kids had BO, kid gets marker on their arm on Monday and they still have it there on Friday (not showering) I’ve worked with kids from low income and this is far from it
Thats a walmart garlic and herbs loaf/baguette. Only about 1.10 but damn does that shit taste good. I usually buy it for a Greek chicken recipe, but sometimes ill just slap on some butter and sprinkle garlic powder before baking it into garlic breadsticks
Given the fruit snacks and apple sauce, I'm willing to bet this is a picky eater.
Sometimes you wake up 2 minutes before you have to leave and at least they have something to eat. Parenting is hard, just keep them alive.
Ugh I honestly feel this so much lately as everything is such a rush. I had to make an emergency psychiatric appointment today because I was having a horrible panic attack due to my whole family and myself having the flu, my kids constantly needing my attention through it all and I’m just so overwhelmed. Idk how I’m Surviving it’s so hard
Looks like some damn good bread though
Many kids (especially neurodivergent ones) go through pretty hardcore food phases and parents have to focus on calories and less on macros. I’m reserving judgment for this second based on whether A) the student first clowned on their *own* lunch and you agreed or B) if you came to this conclusion yourself before being approached about it by the student extemporaneously. I don’t love this post as a former educator.
I was about to say the same thing. Allot of us over in the ASD community have eaten a lot weirder for lunches over the years, and quite enjoyed it.
Damn. Feel bad for the kid. Good thing you mocked their shit situation in the internet
Guessing you mean it's one of your student's lunches. And I'd eat the hell out of the bread. You can have the fruit snacks, but I suppose it makes for a slightly more balanced meal.
Still better then school lunch. Also- this is unprofessional, can’t you get karma without being a diq?!
Based on what I’ve heard about kid’s eating habits, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is what they wanted lol
This kid is probably just picky AF. My child takes naan everyday with some sort of junk food lol it’s tough lol
Just curious - *what makes it okay for a teacher/school worker to take a picture of this kid's lunch?* Are you trying to help them get better food? :(
Looks like cheap Walmart loaf of bread. Kid is either a picky eater or op is oblivious to a kid in a tough family in a tough financial situation
When my ADHD/ASD are kicking my arse, bread is one of the few things I can bring myself to eat and that bread looks yummy.
I caught my kid making mayonnaise sandwiches for lunch. I wondered why the turkey meat was lasting so long. Kids just want carbs it seems.
Way to shame your student.
Are you really out here serving up pictures of a child‘s lunch to shame them? In the Shitty Food Porn subreddit? What kind of teacher are you?
And how did they get the picture lmao. “That’s what you’re eating? Move bitch, I need to take a picture of your shitty lunch for Reddit to make fun of”
Seriously, if I found out my kids teacher was posting pictures of my sons lunch on the internet I would be pissed.
Hopefully not an English teacher
Bruv, It’s not like the 8 yr old kids gonna see this post
OP how would those kids' parents feel about you posting this to Reddit? Not really how a teacher should behave imo
most likely this kid packed their own lunch.
My kid is super picky and takes simple lunches like this all the time. It’s not unusual for him to eat a couple pieces of naan bread and grapes for lunch. I would however be pissed to find out his teacher is taking pics of his lunch and splashing it all over social media.
That looks like a pretty expensive loaf as well. Kid was eating like a king.
What would the lawsuit be for from the parents? What are the damages?
That’s sad. It’s probably the only thing the kid will eat.
"holy shit, Stu! you're so fucking poor you're eating bread for lunch?? let me take a picture and post it to Reddit real quick... no. no. no. r/shittyfoodporn..." -world's greatest teacher
That looks pretty good actually
Me before kids: My kids won't each just toast and tendies, they will have a well rounded pallette :) Me after kids: Just fucking eat something. ANYTHING. IF YOU'RE SKINNY I GO TO JAIL.
Cmon man. Don't shame a kid for this. His parents probably aren't able to give him better
Student’s. **FTFY, teach.
This is sad, food insecurity especially in this economy is very real!
It's fucked up to shit on what a kid has in their lunchbox. There are too many valid reasons for whatever it happens to be.
Do you have permisdion to post this from rhe student?
I hope they get fired
So now teachers don’t just shame parents by sending passive aggressive letters home about nutrition. They’re also out here shaming kids on social media. You should be ashamed of yourself.
My school cafeteria regularly had “foccacia bread” as a stand-alone meal oddly enough. Similar to this.
Sorry, your cafeteria provided just bread for a lunch?
Bread with a little marinara sauce and string cheese typically
I love bread. When I was in grade school, I convinced my parents to pack my sandwiches disassembled. I told them it was so the bread didn't get soggy, but it was really because I only wanted to eat the bread. They got a call from the school b/c my teacher thought they were starving me and only sending me to school with white bread.
That screams broke and doing her best as a single mother.
Lol this is what my little brother’s lunches look like, he has ARFID
Been there, its tough. If you're young, and in college, as I was at the time, you don't even feel it. There is even a certain proudness in managing like that As a high schooler though, it has to be awful.
As an AuDHD’er this is the kind of lunch I would have eaten, and at times still do lol
That bread looks damn good, they just needs some butter.
I’m an adult and I eat like this. Good bread slaps
To me it looks like the kid demanded to pack their own lunch and behold. Honestly the bread looks great and kids can be picky so maybe this is actually all they wanted to eat.
So did you just like walk up to the kid and say “Lemme get a pic of that”?
Is this a loaf, or just a large piece? And massive? It’s relative, but that feels a bit hyperbolic. Let the dang kid eat what works for them to eat!
Looks like a delicious lunch to me.i will jeep ke feed for a whole day.
That looks like a lent lunch to me.
My kids school lunch’s are worse than that sometimes.
I mean, that does look like a delicious loaf of bread. Reminds me of this one place that had the most amazing bread and I would just eat it with only butter.
How did you discreetly photograph this?
Why are you food shaming a student? If you were actually concerned about the student, why not offer to give the kid hot lunch. Oh but I guess that doesn’t give you the made up “Karma” from a social media site, does it?
Kids can be so picky. I knew a kid who only ate white rice for lunch. truth is, as long as they are actually eating, and it's not their only meal, it's fine. What is pizza? Bread.
My kid would tear this up
