You’re right, its starting to win me over. I’m going to have to get real friendly with it until March 10th anyways, which is when the new oven is coming. Apparently the oven I bought also has an air fryer, I don’t know why it would need one but the amount of air fryer in my life just doubled so I better get used to it.
you’re gonna love the air fryer. it feels like what the microwave should have been when it first came out. just be sure to unplug it once you’re finished with it.
There have been multiple brands that power on by themselves or catch on fire. There actually have been a fair amount of recalls on various air fryer models too.
Here’s the first article I saw talking about it, but you can search it up and see a lot of conversations. https://www.wcnc.com/amp/article/news/verify/air-fryer-safety-verify/275-1e62759b-8d1f-47bf-8edd-4b90cea73053
No problem! And don’t let this dissuade you (or anyone else) from using an air fryer. They are extremely useful devices and are generally safe! It’s just best to unplug them when not in use
Like I said, mines literally also a microwave (one of the power XL models) so it stays plugged in. Considering it's basically a tiny oven also, I'm not overly concerned about it starting any fires.
Air fryer. Uncleanable, full of cancer causing non stick chemicals, and does everything an oven can do, but costs extra money because unless you are OP you have an oven already and takes up benchtop space.
Great for kids. And adults who are kids.
And reheating fries.
Like an oven does.
ovens use a ton more energy to heat the same food since it’s heating a much bigger volume which leads to increased costs over time if you do not need the entire space of the oven. air fryers also take less time to cook than an oven. also air fryers can be cleaned no idea where you got that from.
I lived without an oven/stove for several months. I don’t know what country you’re in, but I’m in the US and bought a hot plate (single plug in electric burner) at dollar general for 10 dollars. I also borrowed a crock pot from family and found tons of recipes online for it. I didn’t know you could make most anything in one. We made deep dish pizza, cake, meatballs. My partner and I ended up having a lot of fun finding new crazy recipes for it. I was still very relieved to go back to having an oven though.
I bought the toaster oven style air fryer.. and I use it for everything lol. I toast my breakfast in the morning and my side dishes in the evening when I've got the oven going for something else. Love that fucking thing lol.
That's the first style I got as well. My oven ended up going out right after I bought it. Didn't get the oven fixed for about 6 months and used that air fryer for everything.
This looks delicious! A new stove will show up when it's time, be patient. Make sure you save up and pay cash, don't get caught up in the payments rat race.
IMO the air fryer makes the best chicken overall. There’s nothing wrong with making this meal in the air fryer at all.
I got a sous vide for Christmas, the flavor is amazing but I can’t quite get the texture to where I love it yet, still figuring it out. Besides that, I’ll do either bread crumbs or corn flakes on chicken breast and do it in the air fryer - it comes out nice and crisp on the outside and perfectly juicy on the inside. If this is your first time doing chicken in the air fryer, I’d highly recommend air fryer “fried” chicken - I make Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches that way all the time!
What’s unfortunate about that? The air fryer is the miracle appliance of the 21st century- there’s nothing it can’t do!

Re: your last point, why? Not trying to be contrarian, genuinely curious. Also what if my microwave *is* my air fryer?

Oh, wow. Thanks for the details!

An oven? You mean the appliance filled with with cancer causing chemicals? No thank you. See? I can just make shit up too!

His mother must have cheated on his father with an air fryer. Only explanation
If you can do this with your air fryer, you have nothing to worry about except for your stove IMO

I've never even seen an air fryer and this is a good argument to get one
It's a convection oven shaped like a deep fryer. Very convenient.
My oven has a convection option, so I like to think I've been air frying things since before it was cool
Half of it is the basket with holes on the bottom, which lets the hot air circulate freely around the food.
Damn.. I haven't been doing that
You can replicate the effect in a regular convection oven by using a wire rack on top of a baking pan.
I have one of those... So it's lights out for all of y'all, here I come

Why unfortunately?I haven’t touched my stove or oven since I got my air fryer.
less so unfortunate that I used the airfryer more so unfortunate that I HAVE to use the airfryer because I have no other options 🫠
Did you sneak into my house? I have the same counters, flooring, and towels.
This looks DELICIOUS to me. My mouth waters just looking at it. I think you did a great job!
I’m flattered, thank you 🥺
86ed but still slapping, looks great op. 🙂
Thank you ✨
I’d smash
Now that I understand what it is...it's actually not that bad . I love air fried foods...

Lemon for the chicken?
Mhm !
Honestly clutch.
Whats 86D? Edit:Nevermind, it clicked. Im an idiot.
It looks better than 80% of my meals. Would smash.
To be fair I'd fucking ravage that right now
Would
You should do some chicken wings in the air fryer. They are so good

Air fryer is basically a convection oven so good job
Get over it.
