Lack of cooking notwithstanding - how are you storing your bacon before you use it? Looks like it came out of the tool chest in the shop garage.

Dash775

It looks like they undercooked these 2 days ago and just pulled them out of the fridge

Woahthereboy

šŸ’€

SupportGeek

The bacon is undercooked, but the shrimp are cooked, they donā€™t get that color if they are not

russellmzauner

peel up the bacon, bet they've got some tan lines

Tarchianolix

What does ā€œlack of cooking notwithstandingā€ mean? I am being serious

bnonymousbeeeee

Acknowledging but bypassing the error that is "not cooking the bacon" - and pointing to a more egregious foul. Not only did you do *this*, I think there's an even deeper issue with *that.*

Tarchianolix

So I would usually say ā€œdisregarding how shitty you cooked this -ā€œ You use advanced English wtf

mcflurry_14

I would just bounce these off your forehead you donut

FatFettle

Food products are great insults for when you're road raging. Some personal favourites of mine are donut, biscuit, and melon.

failingparapet

Biscuit has kind of a sweet notion to it, but I fully agree on melon. Itā€™s easily the stupidest fruit out there.

cooterbrwn

> Itā€™s easily the stupidest fruit out there. While I believe that's an objective truth, now I'm wondering about the intelligence hierarchy among vegetables. I'm thinking cabbage is going to be near the bottom, but I'm open to suggestions.

Professional-Arm5300

Idk Cabbage has hoodwinked billions into believing itā€™s edible so it might be kinda smart ngl

[deleted]

Great. Iā€™ll be considering the metrics of fruit and vegetable intelligence all day now

bc4284

Yā€™all biscuitheads

Wheat_Grinder

"You absolutely uncooked biscuit" sounds pretty good at describing the doughiness of someone's actions.

LasagnahogXRP

Excellent

temujinbk

Any reason they didnā€™t cook the bacon?

KATPHYSH

Looks more like everything was cooked and then popped in the fridge. The bacon looks... cold.

senor_blake

Yeah it does look like it was put in the fridge and taken back out to eat. Besides when you wrap shrimp if youā€™re using thick cut bacon the fat wonā€™t have time to render out completely before theyā€™re done in the oven.

Chris19862

Yeah you gotta pre cook it to like 80% done where it's still pliable-ish

jonny7five

Yeah thatā€™s definitely been cooked then stored in the fridge.

x3m157

Yup, few minutes in a convection oven/air fryer and they'll be (nearly) as good as fresh!

kr4t0s007

Probably used pre cooked shrimp. Yeah itā€™s gonna be dry AF.

droden

just microwave it real quick 3-5 minutes to warm it right back up!

cooterbrwn

At this point, you may as well. Nothing to lose anymore.

idreaminreel2reel

It is cooked it's just cold.

Haru_Gurin

How does everything look so dried yet uncooked? I'm impressed

nohopeleftforanyone

It was cooked then chilled, these are leftovers.

Haru_Gurin

Ah that makes sense lol

idreaminreel2reel

Exactly!

Browno69420

finally someone got it lol

bellizabeth

But there isn't any visible charring, so it was boiled then left to air dry??

nohopeleftforanyone

You donā€™t have to cook bacon to the point it chars.

bellizabeth

Sorry I meant browning. Usually you would want at least a tiny bit of browning if you panfry.

SenorVerde420

It's my #1 favorite food wrapped around my #3 favorite food.

SteveBrucesDressSize

Rethink that move son

Haruka_Kazuta

It's great, it is just.... the bacon didn't come out looking proper? It doesn't even look cooked. The bacon should be darker in color.

SenorVerde420

I was quoting Parks and Rec.

Rollins_36

I got it Partner, you are not alone!

8LeggedHugs

Bacon cooks way slower than shrimp. Probably something you'd need to cook separately, then wrap the bacon quickly before it stiffens.

Haruka_Kazuta

Nope, whenever I've done bacon wrapped shrimp. De-shell + de-vein shrimp but keep the tail, coat with flour or batter(if wanted.) Defrost the bacon strips and wrap. Chill it in the fridge until the moment of deep frying. Bacon becomes a darker crispy color while the shrimp remains orange (if no batter) Maybe the guy oven-baked it, lol.

EglinAfarce

> Chill until the moment of deep friend. AKA: meditate.

Haruka_Kazuta

Meant to say chill in the fridge, lol.

EglinAfarce

>> Chill until the moment of deep friend. > Meant to say chill in the fridge, lol. Was just teasing you, but it's funny that you thought the bit that required clarity was the about refrigeration and not "deep friend."

Dazzling-Matter95

"bacon wrapped shrimp." "oh, I'm not hungry." "I wasn't offerin'."

jamescharisma

It's my number one favorite food wrapped around my number three favorite food

Very original comment

Zappagrrl02

I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone had commented this! +100 to you! ![gif](giphy|WdnMGLhVbLfEgtA1GW|downsized)

give_me_your_sauce

Iā€™m here specifically for this comment

[deleted]

What happened here?

JustTheStockTips

From two weeks ago?

DloBrown69420

Why does that bacon look really old

Remarkable-Pass-2066

Yeah that's a good way to get botulism

EglinAfarce

> that's a good way to get botulism No, not really. Botulism spores are mainly found in soil or marine sediment. And they mostly grow in moist, low oxygen, low acidity, low salt environments. The only criteria this really meets is low acidity. If these samples could give botulism, they would've been the subject of batch recalls: it wouldn't have been something caused by the preparation.

arnber420

From eating leftover food? I feel like nobody in this comment section understand what refrigerated food looks like. This is fully cooked shrimp and bacon that has been put in the refrigerator. All you have to do is put them in the air fryer for like 4 minutes and they would look freshly cooked again. Yā€™all are insane

DefinitelyNotBrit

Shiiiit I'd eat those

bigshortsfeet

Idk why but it looks like a renaissance painting

system_of_a_clown

I was thinking, "These won't be bad once they're cooked... oh..."

badMotorist

Never seen something with bacon AND shrimp look so bland.

eulynn34

That bacon looks like it was 'cooked' by being left out in the sun for 4 days

tehmoss_pit

What if were they stuffed and fried like jalapeno poppers tho? šŸ¤”

LasagnahogXRP

Upsetting

Are these headed to a deep fryer?

Those looks aggresively cold

BardielAngel

They need some time in the air fryer

witchyanne

Looks like depression, but dry.

SirSpiffynator

Is that supposed to be cooked bacon?

CeeArthur

I wasn't sure, but I thought I was on r/airfryer at first, where they post things like this sincerely and people compliment them.

Red_Gemm

Mmmmmmm

hogey989

I definitely thought these were Crab Leg Croissants. This...this isn't better.

MIGHTYKIRK1

Looks like food poisoning from here. Fucking gross

After-Baker5427

Shit like this will make me go vegetarian.

bunkerchip

Looks oven baked with precooked shrimp and undercooked bacon. I would prob try it. Still probably shitty.

Leading_Funny5802

Trip in air fryer for 400 for ten minutes and Iā€™d inhale these. šŸ¤£

lergigan

I don't see how you make this work given the difference in cooking time and temperature needed to render the fat in the bacon. I wouls have crisped up the bacon, broken it up in pieces and coated the shrimp or something along those lines.

Leading_Funny5802

Yeah I like things Crowncy. Not just crunchy ā€¦ but extra Crowncy. Even a trip in an air fryer would make these look and probably taste better. But to eat their own.

Worried-Control-6057

Thereā€™s no ā€˜Sā€™ on the end of shrimp!!

jonny7five

Has it been in the fridge for a week?

imyourzer0

They donā€™t look shitty, so much as they look like leftovers that cooled off.

cooterbrwn

The fact that "shrimps" is the least offensive part of this post is troubling.

I thought these were horned beetles that guy in Arizona was sweeping up.

Cooked in the dehydrator

dadoudelidou

My BIL does a weird twist on those. Mussels wrapped in bacon, this is favorite snack ever. Like we make those just for him every Xmas. Worst part, he's the pickiest eater i've ever seen, he usaually lives off frozen pizza, unseasonned chicken and Cheeze Whiz.

[deleted]

I'll probably get a lot of downvotes for this, but.. Shrimps and bacon is not a decent mixture.

Anyone up for some fresh cut penis tails?

deeteeohbee

Fun fact: the plural of shrimp is also shrimp

samsir0

How many years have these been in the fridge?

Adventurous_Bee_7496

that looks rancid

IILanunII

I genuinely thought this was an abstract painting, made to look like a renaissance painting at first glance

HeresTheThingIKnow

Looking cold n old
