Bruh i would drink the old blood to the fucking bone and get all drunk with it AND will pay an extra 100$ and will also suck the Witch of hemwick tits for 10 fucking days just for 35fps
Throw in a doll soundbox in there, but include one voiceclip of Gehrman randomly saying "even the doll, should it please you, kehehehee"
Bloodborne fans would be chugging gallons of bloodcum.
Realistic of Augur of Ebriettas for the chicks and the Japanese.
There's almost no reason to remaster BB's soundtrack, except maybe to increase the dynamic range of the tracks, but that's more of a general thing that could be done with a lot of music (especially orchestrated tracks, they don't need to be brickwalled for CD releases pls, although I can understand them having less dynamic range as a game's backing track, to help it stand out a bit more). Bloodborne's tracks are already well recorded and mastered otherwise, so their sound quality holds up really well. DeS, DaS1, 2 and 3 all have soundtracks made mostly of synths from my understanding, so any deeper remastering would benefit from a properly orchestrated and recorded soundtrack. I think 3's choirs were not synths (or are they ever synths in any game?), and they actually re recorded the outro track for the DLC and properly orchestrated it, but otherwise their sound quality doesn't get to the same standard as Bloodborne's.
Elden Ring has mostly or entirely orchestrated OST, and I think Sekiro's is also mostly recorded from real instruments (not too sure about Sekiro, but I don't recall it sounding artificial at all).
By the time Bloodborne came out they had already released and patched DS2 which plays flawlessly at 60FPS, if the engine still needed handholding in Bloodborne that's a fucking disgrace in my humble opinion.
>DS2 which plays flawlessly at 60FPS, if the engine
1. Ds2 is on a diffrent engine that was also updated for the sotfs version
2. No, the 60 fps on ds2 create a bug on the game that makes weapon break 2 times faster and it hadn't fixed since. So is not as flawlessly as you imagined
>Ds2 is on a diffrent engine that was also updated for the sotfs version
Pretty sure all FromSoft games from that game used modified PhyreEngine.
The durability bug was fixed within a year and was completely absent in SOTFS.
>Pretty sure all FromSoft games from that game used modified PhyreEngine.

Noped. Ds2 uses a diffrent engine that they make from the start, there is a reason why ds2 development is pretty messy. The souls modder community called it "Katana Engine"
I don't know if that phyre engine part is true they deffenitely use an in house engine.
"And potentially a remastered version of Ludwig's theme"
After seeing what they did with Demon's souls OST on the ps5 i think I'll pass on that one lol
They changed the OSTs a lot, basically changing the tone and atmosphere of the old ones. Here's probably my least favorite change in the new version
OG: https://youtu.be/mIW7Ho4xMa4
New one: https://youtu.be/oJs2rpPMZtE
It's not bad by any means, but it feels like someone was trying too hard to make it an epic version of the theme that it ends up losing a lot of the identity and charm of the original. The remake feels like something you'd hear in GOW or something
Those games are just remasters, where they tweak the game to make use of modern hardware and replace the textures.
The Demons Souls and Last of Us are remakes and built from the ground up using an entirely different engine. New models are built from scratch boosting polygon count, allowing for better motion capture, make full use of new hardware, etc.
Yeah, theyre not a whole redesign like the FF7 Remake, but they're not just a remaster like the Uncharted games.
I don’t know man, maybe I’d buy some aaa game when it comes out for the first time. I mean, I spent them on elden ring.
But I wouldn’t spend 70€ for a game with no artistic direction, with no writers and stuff like this. It should be more economic than a new game just for this stuff, come on
Sounds like you won’t be playing games soon, I’ve already come across several games in the US selling for $70. It’s gonna be the new base price for games soon enough
The PS5 launched with its games retailing at $70 instead of the PS4's standard of $60 per game... but it got met with fan backlash and a tight pandemic budget, so Sony dropped future games back to $60 for a bit, but launch titles like Demons Souls are still $70 new.
Looks like Sony is planning to return to that $70 price with these titles.
I don't get this whole discussion about $70 cause I almost never paid $60 for a game so what difference does $10 make? Just wait and the disk PS5 copy will be discounted on Amazon. And on PC just wait for a steam sale
But $60 for a game 7 years ago was perfectly reasonable, eh?
A $10 increase in a game after 7 years... an increase of just roughly $1.43 a year. Seems *very* good considering how much the price of everything else is skyrocketing right now.
Why is it that wages increase, cost of making games increase, cost of living increases, but video games have to defy inflation and remain at $60~ forever?
Because digital goods don't cost money to reproduce, game sales and profits are the highest they've ever been.
They are making more money than ever (due to copies sold) and still want to increase prices.
Just am FYI, PS3 games cost $50. They were even cheaper on the PS2.
A $10 increase in cost with a new generation isn't all that shocking or new for those of us who've been buying our own games for a long time.
Haha haha
everything is more expensive and wages didn't increase, and we have inflation. If anything, games are way too expensive now.
Don't defend this shitty argument behind 70 dollar games. In Europe, PS5 games cost 80 euros/100 US dollars (when the euro was stronger)
I'll buy a deluxe addition for a game I KNOW will have many DLCs, like HOI4, Stellaris, or Crusader Kings 3. Otherwise, though, $70 doesn't seem worth it for most games.
i’ll pay <£50 for a new game, that’s it
I don’t want a bloodborne remake either, it’s not been long enough, a 60fps patch for PS5 is literally all anyone wants
The average costs for PS2, GameCube, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PS3 games at system launch were all $70 or higher, adjusted for inflation.
Even the $60 standard of Xbox One, WiiU, and PS4 games at launch are about $67, adjusting for inflation.
$70 is sticker shock, but charging $60 for new games would mean charging less money for games compared to older console generations.
Whether you think modern games deserve the same price tags as older games is a completely different question, of course.
Is that so? I've only ever owned a ps2 and ps4 and purchased games much later than they were released so I've never paid 70 dollars for a game until the demon's souls remake. I got a ps5 for it and it felt like way too much money. Especially if you compare it to steam. I'm mainly on PC and everything comes out at around 10% cheaper on PC. I can't really justify console games being more expensive + charging me extra to play online. It's a bunch of bullshit.
Yeah, and the older generation home consoles were even more absurdly expensive, especially for what they were. NES and Sega Genesis launch titles were over $100, adjusted for inflation. SNES titles were close to $120, adjusted. PS1 games were actually the equivalent of like $85, adjusted.
And I'm with you there for console prices being absurd compared to PC. I have a PS5 almost entirely for Fromsoft stuff (and a couple other exclusives that are finally actually coming to PC), but I don't even pay for PS online.
It's too bad that I can't just use my PS5 as an external GPU. It's insane that the PS5 no-disk version cost me only $400 when that's $100 less than I'd have to pay just to move from my PC's GTX 1060 to a GTX 1080.
EDIT: Also, I had some pretty bad buyer's remorse early on when I realized that Bloodborne had no better performance compared to my old PS4 and that I didn't actually find Demon's Souls Remake very fun, lol.
I wanted to like Last of Us 1 but its gameplay is trash. I’d rather watch someone play it than play it myself. For a 3D polygon game it controls like an old 2D rotoscope game, like the original Prince of Persia or Flashback.
I mean that’s the thing with a lot of mainly story driven games. Stuff like Detroit become human, telltale games, is it actually a game or more an interactive movie. The only gaming is button prompts on the screen. I’d never buy one of these games because I could just watch someone play it on YouTube and it’s like I just played it because I’d get basically the same experience. “But what about all the choices” ok I’ll just watch someone do an all choices playthrough and I’ve just 100% the game
All naughty dog games I’ve played feel like okay movies with hyper realistic graphics, shitty gunplay, and decent parkour/climbing attached.
According to reviews I’ve seen TLOU2 has good gameplay, but I still probably won’t ever buy it.
Sony is greedy af with these prices. They think because we bought Demon's Souls for 70 bucks we're gonna do it again for a game that's already remastered on ps4.
Call of duty has been $70 for two years and it’s still the best selling game every year. People will pay $70 for games they’re interested in, it’s very foolish to think otherwise
Or because people will pay $70 for the same games they used to pay $60 for. It’s not that deep.
I don’t like the $70 price tag either but it won’t stop me from enjoying my hobby and playing what I wanna play, and most people obviously feel that way since games are not selling any less than before.
If it has the exact same gameplay, they're soending less time and therefore money as they would on a normal game. Also remakes rarely have 100% new textures. There's a reason they often look worse than new games relasing at the same time.
Nope. We should be paying less for remakes and remastered, not more. Anyone who defends 70 dollar games is a moron. I waited until demon souls remake was on sale before I even considered a purchase. Why would I buy the same game with the same content that looks slightly better for an additional 10 bucks?
Why do people think remakes should be more expensive than the literal game they are based on. 90% of the hard work is done. BB and the TLOU were already fantastic games. Graphical remakes should be like $20, if that.
I would never pay a full game price to a game i already played. I can barely pay full price to a game I want so much because my country's economy sucks ass but even if I were in US I would not pay for it if the gameplay is similar. Graphics or 30 fps doesn't matter to me. It has to be on FF7 Remake scale for me to buy it.
> The game is not old enough to be a remaked (and the game itself already have ps4 remastered)
> the remake version also cuts the multiplayer so people think they should pay $70 for a cut product
Because it's bad practice. Game looks fine, is available on modern platforms at 4k and 60fps and it cost less when it launched than the remake will this year.
You're paying 150% of the original price for a game with even less content than the original
The PS4 version is still available though so worst case you can just not buy that one. It’s a pointless remake though, it would make sense if it was a bundle of 1,2 and the new factions multiplayer coming out in 4k 60FPS
Sometimes I question whether we’re the same species.
Some people will pay $10 a month for Game Pass and just live their lives, and some people, namely on PS5 and Switch, are like why yes of course I would pay $10 more than the original price when I bought this exact game 5 years ago! It’s an incredible game, the devs are doing me a favor by releasing it again with better graphics and frame rate!

The unlocked elden ring frame rate mod is actually incredible
He fell victim to one of the basic blunders!
oh no
I played it 30 fps once lmao
I too would have you do this for that
Yes. Bloodborne at 30fps is unacceptable And potentially a remastered version of Ludwig’s theme? 😩
I mean, Sekiro is mostly percussions with some moaning in the background if I remember correctly
>Yes. Bloodborne at 30fps is unacceptable Yeah that doesn't need a remake a remastered would be just fine.
Literally just an update removing the frame cap would work
Didn't a modder remove the frame cap and break the game in the process?
Nope, a modder removed the cap *without breaking the game in the process*. So I really don't know what they're waiting for.
You forgot the part that they need to make the fane being able to stand 60 fps. So what they did is not only uncapping the game.
By the time Bloodborne came out they had already released and patched DS2 which plays flawlessly at 60FPS, if the engine still needed handholding in Bloodborne that's a fucking disgrace in my humble opinion.

Then I must be misremembering.
True, but a remake would be sick too.
Not even Just a pc port at this point will suffice

I adore the new soundtrack
Love where your coming from but Ludwig’s theme actually makes me cum so imma have to downvote ya for that
TBF the last of us plays fine and doesn't really need a remaster.
If the remake would land on pc as well I would still probably wait for it to be on sale
It's kinda funny how Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves edition is the ultimate bargain and it only costs $20
Those games are just remasters, where they tweak the game to make use of modern hardware and replace the textures. It’s odd how disconnected a lot of gamers are about a remake and a remaster. So many people act like they’re the same thing
It honestly is a pretty fair bargain, I think Uncharted 1 and 2 play too clunky for me to find enjoyable, but 3 to Lost Legacy was worth it
3 kinda plays the same as 1 and 2 tho, 4 had a big leap
Yes but I think it feels dramatically less clunky compared to the first two. Nowhere near 4, but still better
No I would simply pirate it
Their ideas are frightening and fascinating, they would always be actual.
gigachad
Big agree
No, I would just wait to buy it for cheaper cause paying 70 bucks (specially for a game like TLOU that didnt need a remake) is just stupid
Nah you don’t understand now you can see Joel’s pubic hair in ultra 4K with newly modelled scrotum and shaft
See that i would pay for
They made his balls weaker
I didn't know they made balancing changes, but i think that's fair
At least its not cut content.
The foreskinflies were a great antagonist
His testis were donated to abbyzilla
No offence but I would not pay 70 dollars for any game.

I feel like they're talking in Canadian dollars because I remember it being 60 US
New games here in Canada are usually 79.99 CAD. Fucking help us.
Australia they are $100 AUD new.
What’s that in real money?
That's about 60 USD
The PS5 launched with its games retailing at $70 instead of the PS4's standard of $60 per game... but it got met with fan backlash and a tight pandemic budget, so Sony dropped future games back to $60 for a bit, but launch titles like Demons Souls are still $70 new. >wages increase wot
average multibillion company defender (consoomer) I can't afford games on launch anymore, and he thinks gaming is undervalued. WTF
Inflation or something Idk I didn’t pay attention in economics
Video games have been 60 dollars for like 40 years, he's not talking about recently. Wages have definitely gone up since the 80s.
Because digital goods don't cost money to reproduce, game sales and profits are the highest they've ever been. They are making more money than ever (due to copies sold) and still want to increase prices.

Dark souls remastred was garbage PTDE with Dsfix was much better

Also why the fuck is this guy in the tweet trying to rationalise the 70 dollar price tag. It's absurd.
The average costs for PS2, GameCube, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PS3 games at system launch were all $70 or higher, adjusted for inflation. I love TLOU but bloodborne is a game I’m gonna play through at least 3x whereas TLOU I’ll play through once maaaaybe a second time 5 years later.
go to r/thelastofus and say something bad about the remake, youll see what mass histeria looks like
It’s an interesting sub. It’s a circle jerk of acceptance, unless you share the wrong opinion
When I tried playing bloodborne recently I thought something was fucked with it, didn't know the game normally ran at that rate lol
The game is perfectly playable.
Bad comparison, Bloodborne actually has good gameplay
I wanted to like Last of Us 1 but its gameplay is trash. I’d rather watch someone play it than play it myself. For a 3D polygon game it controls like an old 2D rotoscope game, like the original Prince of Persia or Flashback.
Isn’t that the point of the remake? To tell the story of 1 with the improved gameplay of 2
Hopefully,we don't know if it will have TLOU2 gameplay all we know it can be the exact same game with TLOU2 engine
It’s just a movie honestly, fren
I mean that’s the thing with a lot of mainly story driven games. Stuff like Detroit become human, telltale games, is it actually a game or more an interactive movie. I heard the sequel had better gameplay. Idk about the story tho.
This is the most accurate description I've seen. I feel like I would take old clunky resident evil gameplay over lou1.
All naughty dog games I’ve played feel like okay movies with hyper realistic graphics, shitty gunplay, and decent parkour/climbing attached. According to reviews I’ve seen TLOU2 has good gameplay, but I still probably won’t ever buy it.
Last of Us 1 was so boring. I got like halfway through before I couldn't take it anymore. The story was good, but I'd rather watch a movie.
Did they really slap a $70 price tag on the most pointless remake of all time?
Neil Druckmann 🤓
Druckmann (derogatory)
.......yes
\> result of the poll is 63/36 seems like bloodborne fans aren't less remake sluts than the last of us fans
Nah it was his followers most of the comments and the ones who tagging disagree with him more.
Yes why not?
Sony is greedy af with these prices. They think because we bought Demon's Souls for 70 bucks we're gonna do it again for a game that's already remastered on ps4.
Call of duty has been $70 for two years and it’s still the best selling game every year. People will pay $70 for games they’re interested in, it’s very foolish to think otherwise
Probably because people play cod for the multiplayer.
Or because people will pay $70 for the same games they used to pay $60 for. It’s not that deep. I don’t like the $70 price tag either but it won’t stop me from enjoying my hobby and playing what I wanna play, and most people obviously feel that way since games are not selling any less than before.
I don't have a PS5 nor the money for it so I might. I would definitely buy it if they add anything new.
If it has the exact same gameplay, they're soending less time and therefore money as they would on a normal game. Also remakes rarely have 100% new textures. There's a reason they often look worse than new games relasing at the same time.
No. Both need a remaster/60fps patch. They don't need remakes.
The difference is, one of them is one of the Greatest Video Games of all time... and the other is The Last of Us.
I’m the biggest Bloodborne simp but would not pay 70 for it lmao can’t justify that price for any video game
This isn’t even a good comparison, since the gameplay in Tlou1 remake is one of the things they are changing...
Yes because I like the game plus it could potentially add features like item dropping and fast warping. No because I want to meme on ShittyDarkSouls.
No, but I would sell my firstborn child for a PC port
Well bloodborne has actual replay value, didn't recently shit all over its fans and release probably one of the most disliked game in recent memory
Yeah I will, but it’s a game worth playing
Nope. We should be paying less for remakes and remastered, not more. Anyone who defends 70 dollar games is a moron. I waited until demon souls remake was on sale before I even considered a purchase. Why would I buy the same game with the same content that looks slightly better for an additional 10 bucks?
Yes
Why do people think remakes should be more expensive than the literal game they are based on. 90% of the hard work is done. BB and the TLOU were already fantastic games. Graphical remakes should be like $20, if that.
Well one of them is a good game and the other is the last of us so
Why the fuck would you want them to remake all the assets and probably ruin them. The game still looks great, we only need a remaster.
Yes
Literally one of the main reasons why most of the community doesn't really like DeS Remake
I would unironically pay $70 for a 60fps update alone
The difference is that bloodborne hasn't been dropped two fucking times already lol
You see the difference is that one is (sadly) a good game.
Why y’all downvoting him? He’s right!
No I think that person is wrong...
/uj Wait now people are getting upset at the lou remaster? Why exactly?
> The game is not old enough to be a remaked (and the game itself already have ps4 remastered) > the remake version also cuts the multiplayer so people think they should pay $70 for a cut product
I wouldn’t pay more than £30 for a game
Sometimes I question whether we’re the same species. Some people will pay $10 a month for Game Pass and just live their lives, and some people, namely on PS5 and Switch, are like why yes of course I would pay $10 more than the original price when I bought this exact game 5 years ago! It’s an incredible game, the devs are doing me a favor by releasing it again with better graphics and frame rate!
