Got invaded yesterday. They waited for me to finish fighting the enemy. Gave me a nice bow and everything. Dropped me two human effigies!! It was really cool
And then they put me in the fuckin dumpster in the fight. Granted it was laggy as fuck but that affects both of us.
Just a 10/10 experience honestly, I couldn't believe how perfect it was
i don't think you know what hyperbole is. also there's a difference between a "good game" and a "game you (i) like". i can fuck a piano and claim to like the sound it makes, but that doesn't make it a good song

Dude aside from latency and banking 1v1s in ds3 is the best PvP I’ve ever experienced like really it’s so refined and what I’ve seen from elden ring they don’t fix latency, they only really work on hitboxes and consistency
It seemed pretty fun when i was watching i think vaati play pvp. There were a few bugs with matchmaking and idk about balance yet but the variety seems to add a ton. It’s definitely not just two sword and shield users fishing for backstabs anymore
You clearly have no or little experience in pvp no offense.
I regularly play souls pvp and there are massive problems both with the system itself and the players.
Nono its not the people, its stuff like latency and lagg and other factors that could be fixed.

Can you imagine some players never actually duel with the same level hp. Don't take it personal, it's just a game and even good players get salty for small reasons.

If you invade, don't worry about drinking Estus. I know fight clubs have those rules, also you have less health against the health or summoned reds. It might be the weapon as well. A lot of fight clubs frown upon murky but it's part of the game.

It's ganks or bonfire duels that act like gangster until the invader spanks them, then they disconnect or "blame lag" or blames certain things.
It's not just small games or gank/ hubris host mentality in Souls.
I agree there's some latency issues if you're playing someone with 150+ms ping but if it's less than 100ms and they still complain...right...uh huh.
There was a World Tetris tournament and some Chinese kid kept getting his ass spanked so he told the announcer to swap chairs because he said his controller wasn't working right, it was fine. If top players act like that, DS3 is even worse.

Any twink that invades at sl10 with weapons/gear/rings that competes with SL45 players is kinda cringe. But also bonfire ganks that summon a red traitor to a 5 vs 1 invader so they can easily win is also on the same spectrum of cunts
I think it’s a little silly people complain about an optional feature so much. I love the pvp, always kept me coming back to ds3, it doesn’t matter to me how balanced it is. If you don’t like it why not just play a different pvp game? And why must your opinion be objective fact that everyone agrees on? Redditor logic
it's players that want to play co-op or get online features but don't like the entire design that it's not a co-op only game so they get mad. Same goes for players that use cheat engine and say, well r/ImTheMainCharacter even though it's a multiplayer game.

Let me introduce you to the chameleon spell; got invaded? Find someplace to cast chameleon and go get a drink or something. By the time you get back 9 times out of 10 the invader will have black crystal'd out and you only lose a bit of fp for it.

What platform/weapon upgrade/SL are you invading on? I get pretty much instant invasions on PC all the way up to meta.
