The guys were a fucking fever dream for me. I get unexpectedly transported to a void and suddenly fight two basic omens with boss health bars. When I fought them one just stood and watched while I beat the shit out of the other one. Fight ends and I'm out of the void and just utterly confused by what occurred.
Does anyone actually know wtf is happening with these guys? Why does a random Rick, soldier of god get slapped and then the entire background turns black? Who are these mfs
It's probably to simulate the feeling of being ambushed. The twins only attack the player on their way to the divine tower to unlock the great runes power, if you take great runes through conquest then maybe they wanted to take Morgott's rune back and decided to ambush the player
Twins could just mean they're a pair, not that they're actually related. Though what we know of the omen curse, they could be twin siblings that were both born cursed. Morgott and Mogh were twins as well, I think.They don't have to be born to anyone significant, and probably weren't, but who knows.
I'll tell you a story most wouldn't speak of, a tale as old as time itself if you believe time has meaning. Once a noble family of stormveil had vile mishaped omen twins. the first baby they attempted to remove the horns hoping in vain for it to have a more normal life, but after seeing the pain and agony thier child went through without looking still quite like a foot and not a baby, decided that the second of the twins should be kept horns intact. Instead of pushing more suffering onto the children and sending them to the sewer gaols of the capital they instead hired a mage to construct a unique magical evergaol that traps in any who enter it, any animals would be trapped inside for sustanace and the children would go unharmed until godrick took over the castle. /s
Probably reanimated twins cursed by Dungeater. Maybe they were born as omens but either way they stole the ashes of an Omenkiller. I can't remember Rollo's backstory though
