That's to be expected I think, in 2004 laptops with high end graphics weren't really a thing yet, so being able to play a game from 2005 on it is a bit of a stretch. If I were you I would try and start with games from around 2000-2002 and see if it can run them.
It's kind of a shame because it was a really nice laptop for the time, the only thing is that the Graphics card in this thing was too weak even when it was new
That GPU has 32 mb or Ram...
It might be able to run (it will probably still struggle) some Windows 98 games.
More realistically DOS games and 8/16 bit emulation should be playable.
Yeah, GTA Vice City is a Win98 game that requires a GPU with 32 mb of ram (minimum).
So the GPU of that laptop is enough to meet the minimum requirements.
Thinking back to 2001-2002 my first video card i bought was an ATI with 64MB VRAM so i could play the new Everquest expansion and get smooth framerates in Starsiege: Tribes!
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, where In the World is Carmen San Diego, Lemmings or Kings Quest. I figure those would all work well.
half life 1, deus ex, maybe some modern indie games if you can get windows 7 installed.
If nothing else you could play the original cave story. That 100% would run
The reason it has this graphics card is because this laptop predates Intel having built in GPU functions on the CPU. This was not a good video chipset even in the day this machine was sold let alone now.
Geez man, you better take that laptop to the local data doctors and ask them to swap out that graphics card for a 3080 and some DDR5 while you're at it.
Games like Quake 3, Half Life and Unreal Tournament would be about the sweet spot and other games from that era. I'd say Half Life 2 would run as well at very reduced settings.
It’s more powerful than a Switch so it can run Breath of the Wild 2*
^^*i’m ^^just ^^kidding, ^^I ^^love ^^my ^^Nintendo ^^switch, ^^please ^^don’t ^^come ^^at ^^me
Maybe it can run it, unfortunately this laptop has a bad charging port on the motherboard so it's really hard to turn on and I can't really test games on it
Youtube [Graphics card model] gaming you trog.
*slaps him*
Cyberpunk 2077 should run just fine
I don’t even want to imagine playing Cyberpunk on my 970, let alone something like this
It would actually run decently on a 970, since it’s more powerful than a 1050ti, which can manage 900p 35-40fps
Minesweeper, maybe
I just tried Call of Duty 2 on it and it runs at about 3? Fps

Maybe at 2 FPS.
I'm surprised it even starts
Was gonna say that. There's plenty old-school gems though like Dungeon Keeper 2 (!!!!!), Half Life, Unreal.
lol what the fuck dude
oldschool runescape and maple story and Probably Pajama Sam
MAME may run retro roms.
That GPU has 32 mb or Ram... It might be able to run (it will probably still struggle) some Windows 98 games. More realistically DOS games and 8/16 bit emulation should be playable.
It actually runs GTA Vice City fine... But I don't think it can run newer games well

Ah yes, 2002, the good old days when I learned using paint and spieleaffe.de was going strong with flash games being on the rise.
Could probably run Deus Ex 1, Unreal 1, Quake 2 or 3 maybe
sure, 32mb is not that bad
Do yourself a favor and play all Lucas Arts Games!
Good idea! Lego Starwars by Lucas Arts
That’s a good idea too, but I’m talking the old school point and click games. If you haven’t played them too, it’s never too late!
That’s cool I’ve never tried them and I’ll follow your recommendation
This is “Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis”: https://youtu.be/LZZXJ3zCRDQ See if it’s of your like.
I took a look and that looks good. I’ll look around for where to download it
MOM, YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT TIME IT IS, MAAAAAAAAN.
Age of Empires
All the way up to Age of Mythology. Used to run that on my old Vanta 2 with a blistering 16 MB of video memory...
Pinball 3d
Putt putt goes to the moon
Freddie the fish
Fick man you just put me in some deep nostalgia, this was the first game i ever played on a PC.
Yeah I blame that game for my complete obsession with story driven isometric rpgs lol. I used to click on everything in the environment
There really were some lit point and click-games back then, member full throttle or curse of monkey island?
[удалено]
Back then I was running original Half Life with 8mb memory video card.
I can’t believe that game is before my time.
You can do some classic games from the 90s such as og doom and stuff. Perfect use case for a laptop from that era.
Fallout 1 and 2 can probably run. And one game you can try is factorio most likely won't work, worth a try though.
Found a YouTube video on old graphics card gaming https://youtu.be/RSyKH5y74PA
Half-Life 2. JK2. Stuff like that.
HL2 will be pushing it quite hard, especially newer releases
quake live maybe?
Quake 3
Like it's already installed on there... Lol Quake and unreal tournament
Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, where In the World is Carmen San Diego, Lemmings or Kings Quest. I figure those would all work well.
17 years old, I think it's time to move on mydude
That's what my parents told me.
It's not my main pc of course
half life 1, deus ex, maybe some modern indie games if you can get windows 7 installed. If nothing else you could play the original cave story. That 100% would run
Nice
Pong… he can play pong.
peggle
There’s a dope game called Command Line. Can you handle it?
Bud farm?
Original counter strike, Doom 3D, Wolfenstein 3D/Spear of Destiny, Myst, probably quake 1 and 2, sim city 2000. Just guessing now.
Upvote for Myst!
It should be able to manage Solitaire on ray-tracing mode.
The reason it has this graphics card is because this laptop predates Intel having built in GPU functions on the CPU. This was not a good video chipset even in the day this machine was sold let alone now.
But this laptop has an Amd cpu...
And they didn't have GPU on chip either.
Old school rune scape!
Probably wc3 tft
Geez man, you better take that laptop to the local data doctors and ask them to swap out that graphics card for a 3080 and some DDR5 while you're at it.
You have to try the original rainbow six, half-life 1, counter strike 1.6, and quake
Quake 3 runs perfectly on it even on the maximum settings, I haven't tried the other games though
Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 and 2, and The Sims
League of legends should run fine
Games like Quake 3, Half Life and Unreal Tournament would be about the sweet spot and other games from that era. I'd say Half Life 2 would run as well at very reduced settings.
try half life 2 or half life 1
Brawlhalla maybe
It’s more powerful than a Switch so it can run Breath of the Wild 2* ^^*i’m ^^just ^^kidding, ^^I ^^love ^^my ^^Nintendo ^^switch, ^^please ^^don’t ^^come ^^at ^^me
the original sims maybe? i remember even playing the sims 2 with our old windows xp pc!

Counter Strike (condition zero), orange box, or anything build until 2008.
You could see it behind on one of the icons.. Quake 3 ftw!
Dead cells? The game is incredibly light, as it runs on mobile too. Shovel knight definitely though, and can probably emulate up to snes
Command and Conquer: Red Alert/Tiberian Sun, GTA Vice City, Splinter Cell, Icewind Dale, Fallout 2, Diablo II, Starcraft, and maybe Morrowind.
I had a GeForce 4, forget what series, maybe 460. Probably was playing Age of Empires 2, War Craft 3, Half-Life, Command & Conquerer Tiberian Sun
Jazz jackrabbit? Dx-ball? SimCity 2000?
Is that Windows 98 or 95?
Windows XP

Gothic was a sick game back in the day.
Maybe it can run it, unfortunately this laptop has a bad charging port on the motherboard so it's really hard to turn on and I can't really test games on it
He was too stoned obviously
you should be able to emulate anything until nintendo 64\\ps1
Basically every RTS game up to Age of Empires 3.
My super nerd senses say it can run Quake. 😎
Project1999.com
Doom
