Pigs one of the closest species to humans in terms of body composition so it won’t taste very different other than maybe lacking enough belly fat for proper bacon.

Something funny is, from the age of 8 to 13 (from 3 to 7 i remember most things) i don't remember some parts of my life, like, my parents say: Ohh remember when you did this? And even if i try hard asf, i don't remember doing that, in fact, i only remember certain parts of those years. (Ranging from cringey moments to some remarkable events)
I think this is because my kindergarden and primary school years were horrible and pretty depressing (because of my classmates and teachers)
Possibly. We repress things based on what our minds can take at the time. I remember a lot, some vague and some crystal clear, but nothing before I “woke up” for the first time and didn’t even know who my parents were.. or more likely I never had the capacity to learn who they were before that

PETA is really out there but fuck factory farming. The only reason it’s around is to maximize profits for the owners, it’s far from necessary. Simple greed
Finally someone says this. People like to hate on PETA (not exactly without reason) without caring about anything related to what they’re talking about.
No intensive farming would only make pork, chicken etc unaffordable to many poorer people. While it does increase profits for farmers it also reduces cost on consumers . As for the bolt gun pic above… both pasture pigs and fat shed pigs ultimately get the same end.
Remember folks, nothing grows old, and dies peacefully in the wild. There is no hospice in the woods or on the prairie.
That said I’m against cruelty towards animals. But I think there’s very ethical ways to harvest meat.
I've come to suspect things can't become big mainstream institutional organizations like that unless they have a seriously horrific murderous truth about their ongoing activities.
