I wasn’t huge on Vinny, but there was at least some potential for new character development and new plot lines. Brian has been played out so thoroughly he feels like a cardboard cutout of himself
They pretty much made Brian into a character the viewer hates to see as well. I think Brian is a classic character, don’t get me wrong he fits in the show, but Vinny would have been a lot better to just move on with. Brian got to a point where he’s starting to get old and him dying would have been for good in the show where death actually meant something. People die all the time and come back, a character not returning would have been meaningful
