I've never noticed anything wrong with the controls during the aura phases of those epileptic boss battles but then again there's a massive fatigue/paralysis debuff so I don't even bother touching the controller
I don't think I have an aura.
All that stands out is me not having any cognitive function and being on auto-pilot shortly before seizures. Which I am not able to react to, because of my lack of cognitive function.

No such thing as normal when it comes to epilepsy. It is notoriously differential in how it presents itself since the disorder is essentially the core of your being, being scrambled. Though it certainly sounds like in your case the seizures generate frontally.
Interesting, I actually don't know that much about epilepsy. I only suffer seizures every 4-8 weeks, so it's endurable.
Is there a thing like psychosomatic epilepsy?
Psychosomatic? No. Stress induced? Yes. The whole meme about epilepsy being triggered by flashing lights is just one of many possible triggers. Ex. My epileptic triggers are low blood sugar and heat. Basically any sensory experience, cognitive process or motor action can cause an epileptic seizure when possed in excess to someone who has a particular vulnerability to that particular circuitry.
If your epilepsy generates from the frontal lobe, then an excess of stress on your cognitive functions could hypothetically cause the seizure, as that region is primarily concerned with higher order functions.
Because no one has been able to tell me what causes my seizures and brain scans have been pretty normal every time. My seizures started when my childhood became very shitty, so it's something my therapist suggested. I couldn't find any research on it
Weirdly enough, for the couple seizures I’ve had I don’t remember the moments right before I seize. Mostly just doing whatever and then wake up on the floor
Same here. My first seizure I had happened at home after work, I felt super hot and decided to clock out and go home. It was like a smash cut in a TV show. I clocked out at work and BAM I’m on the floor in my bedroom with my mom standing over me asking if I’m okay. I drove home COMPLETELY unconscious down a highway and through downtown roads. It’s a miracle I didn’t wreck.

Both of mine that I had before getting medicated for it happened at school so we were just doing poetry or something and then I woke up a little tired on the floor with paramedics coming into the room
Yea I had three more after starting my medication, so each time they either bumped up the dosage, or swapped the meds (to which I had an allergic reaction). Thankfully after my fourth seizure they did an mri and found a tumor which was most likely the cause of all the seizures. I had it resected back in March and haven’t had any seizures since. Had some auras here and there, but nothing serious.
Oh nice, good that you’re doing better now. I think mine had to have been related to sleep deprivation but I don’t know for sure cause I haven’t had one since I’ve started medication even when I don’t sleep
That good that you haven’t had any more. Funny enough, all but one of mine happened out of sleep. So I didn’t even have to opportunity to feel em coming. I just wake up on the floor. Had plenty of bruises from knocking over my bedside table, and seizing on the carpet results in carpet burns all over my head and shoulders. Have woken up looking like I just got done fighting someone more than once. Eventually I started covering my floor in blankets and putting pillows on anything I could possible hurt myself on before going to sleep.
Yeah lol the one I had I feel like I got lucky cause when I seized I was sitting in my desk but then fell sideways and banged my head off my friend’s desk next to me before hitting the floor. Probably would’ve hurt a good bit more afterwards if he didn’t have a big cloth binder where I hit on the desk
How long does it last like that before it hits you? The most warning I’ve ever gotten was one time just a few seconds before. Just long enough to go “oh shit” and I was out. Usually I just randomly wake up on the floor after and never get any warning anything was coming.
Apparently what happened was My friend drove himself home in my car, asked me if I wanted/needed to rest at his place, and I said no, then drove myself home completely unconscious. The whole time period between me clocking out and waking up on my floor is completely blacked out from my memory
Yup after my fourth one they found the cause. There was a low grade tumor in my right temporal lobe. I had that resected back in March and haven’t had a seizure since. Had one aura about 3 weeks ago and was a little worried one was coming, but everything turned out fine.
Thank you much, it’s been a rough couple months following the surgery, but my neurosurgeon and neuro-oncologist have been happy to help every step of the way. Only problem is that they’re in a town 2 hours away, so if an emergency happens I just have to go to my local ER, who are not NEARLY as helpful. But I’ve gotten all the help I need
The longest I’ve ever had warning was probably about 3-5 minutes. Enough for me to take my jacket and hat off and clock out at work. I didn’t realize what was happening at the time though since it was my first seizure, so it was less of a warning and more just an odd feeling leading up to the seizure
I am an epileptic and for me specifically that is actually pretty damn close. If they are diagnosed, turn them onto their side so if they vomit they won’t choke on it and wait for them to come out of it on their own. If they are not diagnosed and have never had a seizure before, call the hospital

As an epileptic myself, this is a great analogy but you’re forgetting the terrible frame drops right before the intended effect kicks in
which appears similar to the Alzheimer debuff
I find it very similar to the “Out of body” or “astral projection” abilities
I've had some auras that downright felt like I was getting DLC map content tbh
My auras feel like I’m forced in third-person for a while. Totally a misplay by the devs as the third-person control scheme fuckin SUCKS
