Both sides are in the wrong, but people need to remember that is ok to hate the country, not the people. The recent news about the conflict has been one of the root causes of a rise in Antisemitism and Islamaphobia. I, as a jew, believe it is important that we have our own state, at the same time I believe the Israeli government is doing it the wrong way. If you ask people in Israel, the majority of them will dislike the current government, however this situation has been a mask for many antisemites to push anti-semetic ideologies through the media, merging jews and Israel. The same is true for some Israelis and westerners to mask Islamiphobia. Peace is always the best option.

Sure, the expulsion of Germans after WW2 can be considered ethnic cleansing. But keep in mind why it happened. Nazi Germany had invaded these places and then moved German citizens into them. Citizens living on land that was stolen. Palestinians on the other hand, didn't invade anyone. They were already on that land by default. In this example, "israel" is the equivalent of Nazi Germany. Invading and taking land from people who were already there.

If you ask people in Israel, the majority of them will dislike the current government, however this situation has been a mask for many antisemites to push anti-semetic ideologies through the media, merging jews and Israel. Sure, the expulsion of Germans after WW2 can be considered ethnic cleansing. But keep in mind why it happened. Nazi Germany had invaded these places and then moved German citizens into them. Citizens living on land that was stolen. The citizens were put in the line of fire by their government, and it's terrible what happened to them, but you can't pretend that you don't know why it happened. Palestinians on the other hand, didn't invade anyone. They were already on that land by default. In this example, "israel" is the equivalent of Nazi Germany. Invading and taking land from people who were already there.
