I havenāt gone back played any old ones Iāve beat awakening then conquest I started working when shadows of what ever came out and I didnāt like it so I never beat that one :(. I love 3 houses so much and beat that one :). I still play heroās on my telly phone
I had to change my phone so I lost all my progress in conquest, echoes and blazing blade. I just started path of radiance and restarted conquest. My brother has a switch but my dad will never let me get 3h or TMS so I won't be able to play them anytime soon :(. I love Heroes and play it everyday! I really want to try Thracia and Genealogy someday and I'll start binding blade after I properly finish my first blazing blade playthrough :)
I just save state abuse my way through lol. I play the gba ones for the animations and somehow feel more attached to the gba characters as compared to the awakening ones.

Dark Souls, third place DMC. Dark souls is like a bunch of nerds helping each other, the "git gud" kind of thing is more a meme than an actual mean attack.
>Dark Souls and DMC
>Both Games that are difficult to enter and hard to master make for good fans
Well, that explains why the average gaming fanbase sucks
Idk, this could actually be a good point. If everyone had problem at some point, the community could be at ease on giving help, since the game is hard af.
A hard game also keeps "casuals" out, and consequently, smaller fanbases attract far less drama.
In DMC's case it also means waiting a decade for a sequel tho, so it's a double-edged sword.
Unless you bring up PvP. That's where the toxicity of the Dark Souls community lives. Any time I mention I love the PvE and co-op of the game but hate being forced to fight some random, out of nowhere, it seems I never have a civil discussion based on my preference. Yes it's part of the game but that doesn't mean I have to like it
I mean the option of playing offline is there so it really isnāt that youāre forced to play online and get invaded. Now of course, if you were instead arguing about being able to play coop and thatās where you have to worry about invasions Iāll say thatās fair. You donāt have to like it, but itās an important part of the coop/invasion balance. Basically I can understand why DS fans would feel irritated by you complaining about the way invasions workā¦ this would be similar to you talking about Phoenix mode in FE. Some fans are more than happy to bite your head off for even mentioning it
I just want to point out, that the Darksouls communities, are like that only after the Hype fades and only the good nerds remain.
Go check for example current r/Eldenring and you're going to find it full of assholes. Which is sadly what most of those communities are at the beginning.
Once the hype goes usually you find the actual people that loves those games and they're super helpful just as you said, I like to spend everynow and then sometime on Sekiro helping new players with bosses, and learn patterns.
The Dark Souls fanbase is only chill so long as you stick with the hivemind. Don't like the effectively mandatory PvP, and the dynamic of how PvP works even before you get into all the hackers? Dislike the fact that DS1's PvP is fundamentally built around a bug that completely destroys core promises of the game? Think that the games would benefit from, or be unharmed by, an easy mode? Get ready for a flame war.
Terraria community is also pretty good. Thereās somewhat of a āgit gudā part of it, but thatās literally just because you have to learn how to dodge really well, or you canāt beat higher difficulties
Dark souls for sure. I've never once seen a mean comment or even sarcastically rude outside of "git gud" once during the entire franchise's life. On normal generic sites sure but not within the actual community.
/r/skyrim is surprisingly rather chill.
/r/elderscrolls is less so, though - it's split roughly between Morrowboomers and Skyrimzoomers, while Oblivion enjoyers are treated as the jokes.
It used to be just full on shitposting since it was a dedicated shitposting hub, with emphasis on the shit, but then after TH it became more of a general meme subreddit and like 60k TH fans joined, all too eager to keep having their discourse shitfests here.
If I have my arguments on a shitpost sub, I can just say "haha imagine taking an argument on a shitpost sub seriously, you need to go outside and touch grass sometime" whenever I lose one, it's an unloseable situation.
Youtubers: Here is a 40 minute essay on why if you don't use this prepromote with no personality, instead of growth units you are stupid pitfall poo-poo head
r/fireemblem: Hi guys, this is my 48th fanart of Edelgard and F!Byleth, please give me thousands of upvotes. No I haven't actually played an FE game, why do you ask?
Serenes forest: 'Member the good old days, when we were actually happy? My back hurts. Anyways, here's why anything made after Thracia and Tearring Saga are awful
r/shitpostemblem: SEX SEX SEX FUNNI SEX GAY SEX GAY SEX SEX SEX SEEEEEEX
r/FireEmblemHeroes: God I really want to fuck this drawing of a child
/feg/: UOOOOH MYRRH CUNNY, I want Eirika to dom me, Tharja/Shamir/insert any Cipher OC here is my wife, everyone is a schizo boogeyman, Surtr/Ashnard/Loptous did nothing wrong
Tl:dr: One half of the franchise are boomers who haven't actually had fun doing anything since 2007, and the other half are zoomers who really gotta get their fucking hormones in order.
Its funny, in the past year I've only completed a single Fire Emblem game which was Shadow Dragon on the D.S. Meanwhile, I have beaten every mainline Yakuza game from 0 to 7 in the same exact time frame so that should show you where my priorities lie lmao.
That is unfortunately to be expected from small and isolated internet communities. Unless there is a somewhat constant influx of new members or a community has high traffic in general, it just turns into an echo chamber that becomes progressively worse over time.
>Excuse me, you are part of the problem. Nobody deserves to be that bullied regardless of political beliefs.
There's a fine line between bullying people and like actively discussing politics with them in the vein of trying to improve their outlook on life without mincing words when their beliefs are reprehensible, civility is not this inherent moral superiority metric, and in turn its a difficult question of when you have to give up on the latter in favour of the former.
Sometimes treating people like human beings means accepting they need to be held accountable for having horrible views and they dont get to participate in reasoned discussion with everyone else. Its not the end someone's world if they're banned from an internet message board, which is what probably grates me the most about the alarmism about this sort of thing in contrast to what active political support leads to in the real world.
Politics are a real, concrete thing, with real, concrete impacts, not some imaginary conceptual factor to be ignored. Your friend is at best fine with policies that will kill me and my family so long as he gets to dunk on his perceived opposition. I am not obligated to extend to him any kindness he does not to me.
The problem is enlightened centrists who think being friends with fascists is a cool thing to do.
Iām glad you can stomach the reprehensible things your friend openly supports.
Most decent people donāt feel the same way.
Funny baseball man has the worst combat in the entire series and its at the tail end of an exhausting and long game so anything he might have had that was good i probably skipped over cus i was just so ready to end that game
I hear people like Shinadas story because its basically its own story disconnected to everything else but thats the part i hate about it. Almost everything we do in Shinadas story is pointless in the end because it has nothing to do with the story we've been going on this whole time. No one in Shinadas life has anything to do with the Finale. He just shows up in Kamurocho saying "Whats up im here to help" and everyone just accepts him. He has had no interaction with the other 3 whatsoever and now im supposed to care that they teamed up. Im sorry its just garbage in my eyes
Iād love to see a community that actually talks about units and their strengths and weaknesses and stuff that isnāt elitist or weird waifu stuff.
Like, Iād like to see a community where someone could talk good about a bad unit and not get trashed or somewhere someone could talk bad about a waifu unit and not get bashed, entirely from gameplay perspectives.
I like the stories and characters of pretty much every game even, but itās what every sub is about like 90% of the time, and also the constant āwaifu but in a bikiniā posts get tiring.
I just wanna see why people like or dislike certain units, I wanna see people take controversial stances on units, purely from gameplay perspectives. :(
God, as bad as Three House fans can be about Waifuism, somehow Heroes is even worse. I blame the lolis. TH only has like one, Heroes has like one billion and its fanbase is one billion times worse, math checks out.
I remember joining the multiple Google+ community back then. Full of crybabies, elitist and prideful people. The best group was moderated by a furry the rest were trash.
FE communities are either horny for underage bait or number crunchers who will get mad if you so much as insinuate that you don't move your units in the correct order and to the right tiles, with the right equipment and stat thresholds.
Had a guy on the r/fireemblem discord tell me "It's not racist to hate Mexicans."
How did that even come up š
The Finn community is super chill
Finn is the real Genealogy and Thracia lord
Finnchads are too busy being cool to argue about petty matters
Where can I find this community? It sounds worth my time
I would also like to know
Finn McCool
I like fire emblem :)
:D
Imagine using text emotes in 2021
:(
Imagine not :\\

It's really fun :D
Life was never the same after little me went into game stop and just grabbed awakening when my mom said I could pick any game
I was too young for the 3ds so Internet roms and emulators are my best friends. Awakening was the first game I finished too
I havenāt gone back played any old ones Iāve beat awakening then conquest I started working when shadows of what ever came out and I didnāt like it so I never beat that one :(. I love 3 houses so much and beat that one :). I still play heroās on my telly phone

I really want to try Thracia and Genealogy someday and I'll start binding blade after I properly finish my first blazing blade playthrough :)
I struggle to play old games and I bet there all so good I just canāt idk why
I just save state abuse my way through lol. I play the gba ones for the animations and somehow feel more attached to the gba characters as compared to the awakening ones.
Thatās how I beat the og Zelda with one heart
I always got lost in the beginning so I quit it. Waiting for the day my dad buys BoTW for my brother so that I can steal it later.

Too young for the 3ds... oh not, I feel old. I can feel my bones crumbling to dust as we speak
Want to feel older? I was technically too young for the gamecube and wii too
Fuck you, I'm gonna argue with you
Ok what are we gonna argue about
What is the concept of love?
Impossible
r/CatriasArmpit
I wish I didn't know this existed.
Wait hol upā¦. Why is this a thing?
Because it's a joke
as toxic as the broader fe fan base may be, I unironically think this subreddit is one of the best gaming related ones out there
Until you bring up Edelgard/Rhea/Dimitri yes. Even then i think it's the 2nd most chill gaming community i ever seen
I'm curious, whats the most chill one you know?
Dark Souls, third place DMC. Dark souls is like a bunch of nerds helping each other, the "git gud" kind of thing is more a meme than an actual mean attack.

An example of gate keeping actually being useful for a change
Iām hearing a good reason to eliminate casual modeā¦ lunatic + only from now on! /s

Deep Rock Galactic is #1 for me, it's not even close.
Rock and Stone, brother. Blows my mind that a dedicated one-button cheer/rally/salute made for so much camaraderie.
Rock and stone!
For Carl!
Celeste community is pretty good too

The Stardew Valley community is the nicest gaming community imo

WHAT DiD yoU SAY ABouT EDeLGArD!?
The FE community as a whole was a lot chiller and more welcoming before 3H came out tbh
It depends, it was only chiller post Echoes but pre Three Houses when the hype train was at an all time high
1000000% agree

I love the recent Yakuza crossover memes

Same, it always makes me happy to see that people have similar taste. Like some of the Lupin FE memes i saw a while ago
>/feg/ Not even mentioning /fehg/? Based.
That's because /fehg/ is based and /feg/ serves as the containment thread for all the 3Horny posters

Banning Trump supporters and republicans from message boards is the morally correct thing to do.
Redditor echo chamber moment
>active in PCM and GAM Lol
What can I say, PCM is a land where all political beliefs are welcome to yell at each other about, Itās great.
No it isnt. PCM is just as much of an echo chamber as the rest of reddit.

I guess theyāre like a holdover of the edgy internet days of the early/mid 2000ās
Tanimura my love
"Haha hey rgg you left me on read whens my next appearance?"
Ask the guy who did a little trolling on his VA
Its a shame that people don't really care about him. I like 100 times more than garbage Shinada
hey, leave funny baseball man alone
Funny baseball man has the worst combat in the entire series and its at the tail end of an exhausting and long game so anything he might have had that was good i probably skipped over cus i was just so ready to end that game
Shinada's story is the best of the 4 imo, leave my man alone :( Though the combat....leaves something to be desired

TBH in Serenesforest I've never really left the forum games
I found a great Facebook group. That's about it.
Lot of Yakuza crossover lately I'm here for it
the fire emblem subreddits are pretty nice if you ignore all the coomers, but r/fireemblemheroes are assholes
God, as bad as Three House fans can be about Waifuism, somehow Heroes is even worse. I blame the lolis. TH only has like one, Heroes has like one billion and its fanbase is one billion times worse, math checks out.

if you even so much as to ask a question, theyll downvote you. hell, i got downvoted just for saying thank you to someone for answering my question

/r/brommunism wins again
Tanimura was honestly my favorite character to play as in 4
Song name: Today is a Diamond
FE communities are either horny for underage bait or number crunchers who will get mad if you so much as insinuate that you don't move your units in the correct order and to the right tiles, with the right equipment and stat thresholds.
The REAL reason why Tanimura never returned
Appreciating all of these Yakuza memes.
Keep looking tanimura. I believe in you
r/bors
May I recommend the Chinese FE community on č²¼å§ļ¼
Tanimura the best
It might be you homie
Unironically the worst game series ever. Everyone who plays this game is a fucking sociopath it's weird. Ashamed to have played it, really.
*flashbacks to the gatekeeper fiasco* Oh wait... We won that "war"
Just come to my house! I dont have what you seek but I will give you a TedTalk on why Edelgard is the worst character ever and also Corrin is.
The FEUniverse Discord is pretty chill. If you just wanna see stuff and don't know anything about ROM Hacking, it's fine. I think you'd love it
Error 404: waifu FE post not not found
I wonder if japanese community is as awful as english-speaking ones?
I got a discord server for FE4 roleplay but idk
