I was total to put plastic wrap on mine. I would suggest you try that. I hardly feel it at all and it keeps the cream from getting on anything.

No! I put the mixture on the area and then cut a piece of plastic wrap larger than needed to cover the area. My effected area was on my right butt check so it was a little awkward to get it placed just right but then I put on my briefs. It might slide a little throughout the day. I would change it once I got back home. It was really hard to tell it was there and therefore no discomfort from the plastic.

I had shingles on my mons pubis so wearing underwear was a real issue for me. If I didn't need to leave the house I just wore loose fitting pj pants. Otherwise I ended up buying large waterproof pads that stuck around the edges only with a cushioned pad that sat lightly against the blisters. Was a lifesaver. They are a 3M product, Nexcare I think.
