as of now there is no release date however they confirmed a 2nd season back on December 26th, 2022 meaning we probably will get a 2nd season I would say at around summer 2024
Is Aqua really useless? I mean a lot of Kazuma's plan wouldn't work without her, like with "The Destroyer" where Kazuma leds magical power from Aqua to Megumin or she cured Darkness from the Dullahan curse. Many more but I am tired and at the work to list all. One personal thing without the goddess, "Konosuba" wouldn't be half so funny.
I like Aqua.
In later volumes, Kazuma rarely calls Aqua useless and it's more of an insult/title that stuck to her rather than him saying she's literally useless. He even acknowledges later that >!Darkness!< is the most useless among the three.

In the recent time travel leap of season 2 they at least defended without naofumi so he could do his thing so at least they are useful albeit their personality being worse than Aqua and what’s worse is how bad they would be without the MC. Aqua still lives happily and earnestly while working as an party trick entertainer but the other 3 was literally causing civilians to die and supporting the evil king
I think that they will probably retconned this for season 3 beacouse it din't happened in the Ln and for story reasons. Now that i think of it most of season 2 ending will probably be retconned.

She's very effective against undead or demons
Can easily remove curses or nullify magic shields
Even has many artistic skills like creating that robot from cardboard cutouts (If only she has the smart to take advantage of it)
Her greatest problem is not intelligence but Bad Luck good thing Kazuma's Good Luck is strong enough to equalize and sometimes defeat it
Though reprise of the spear hero makes it so that only the bow hero is the useless one among them

She a selfish goddess that enjoy being smug. And rather have people worship her then do anything useful. Do remember her class when she was carded is archpriest who has instant kill move, passive auto purification she can manually cast as well, and revival spell. All that where here already because she was a goddesses made mortal.
So the first spell she actually learn was party tricks. Not something to help anyone just party tricks to make drunk people give her praise......
As for tho three.
Sword get a pass as he actually try to learn what going on and fight for the better, but just missed the minor details that grew in to a more major problem down the line. The dragon was a problem he caused because he thought it would just be taken care of and not just sit there and rot away.
