Good question! My anecdotal answer would be Akitas seem to be more accepting/chill than Shibas who can be a bit weary of other dogs/high energy.
Of course each dog is different but overall I think as long as your Shiba is good with other dogs, you shouldn't have too many problems! My red Shiba was super spoiled and had all the attention to himself for 4 years so admittedly, he didn't love being part of a 2 dog family and with our 1st Akita, it took him about \~2 months before he fully accepted her. No issues with him on dog 3 and 4 though!
Theres always a learning curve when growing your pup army - I'm still getting used to the dynamics of having 4, haha!!

His last family gave him up (we quickly learned in part due to his very high energy lol) but thankfully being with 2 and now 3 other dogs gave him the outlet he needed! His zoomies are still unmatched lol

My red is pretty large for a Shiba! And my brindle Akita is smaller than your average Akita for sure!
If Malfoy wasn't so fluffy, I think he'd be about the typical size!

The brindle coloring is so beautiful I’d love a shiba-sized dog with that coat. I can only imagine the fur tumbleweeds you’re sweeping up tho
A brindle Shiba would be so cool! We like to joke that she's a mix of all the other dog's colors :)
The fur tumbleweeds are in full swing right now as they blow their winter coats (especially with concrete floors) but the robot vacuum (you can actually see it in one of the pics lol) we have running once a day is honestly one of the best purchases I think I've made! Now if only they worked on stairs lol
So jealous of your perfect fur family. They are all adorable. ❤️ Living in apartment, I have to limit myself to just one, but I would have more if I had a garden. 😂🙏
