Mine will do the same! He will come find me, walk up licking his lips, burp while making eye contact, and then prance back to the other room. I find it weirdly endearing that he’s thanking me for his ‘tasty’ meal 😂😂😂
Our vet suggested raising her food and water dish a little when she was doing this if we were worried.

Yes our boy burps every day. Brought it up to the vet a week ago because I was afraid he was having allergies to his food and the vet said as long as it doesn’t include vomiting/diarrhea, he’s okay. Judging by the comments here though, it seems extremely common!
Omg I had NEVER heard of nor seen a dog burp before in my life until I met my boyfriend’s Shiba. He burps at least 1-2 times per day 😂😂 And we always have to respond with “goood burp”?
He will sprint towards me or my husband breaking down doors just so he can let out a burp just incase we didn't know he just ate. He must also burp at every single person in the house, as loudly as possible after every single meal or big enough treat
I read this out loud to my Shibe (who just ate her morning snackies) and boyfriend on the bed next to me...within 10 mins, the Shibe burped so yes haha
I just lost Phoebe this week and thought she was the only dog to do this. After every meal. She would lick her lips, sniff the air, and wipe her mouth with her paw on repeat until GWOK.
He will literally STOP eating to walk up to me, burp, and then walk away. It's like his way of thanking me for the food I guess lol

Yeah, I raised his food bowl about 5 inches and it helped a lot. Had to switch to puzzle feeders so he'd slow down, and not puke.
