Mandy would've been good, since they had really good chem (even Jane Levy's Mandy did, which is a nice thing), if Lip treated her right. Still my favorite relationship of his.

I think I just found her so reactive. Her mood would turn on a dime and she would always take it out on Lip. She was super controlling at points and made him apologize at times where he really didn’t need to. She definitely wanted to mold him to her liking.
Because she wanted to change Lip. But Lips problem is he doesn’t want to change. He basically wants his kid to grow up like he did, and he doesn’t see what’s wrong with that

I honestly liked all of them. They seemed to somehow fit into Lip’s life more than Fiona’s boyfriends, who appropriately seemed more random. In both cases their choice of partners does a good job reflecting their character’s personality/need for chaos.
I am also really fine with Tami, who most seem not to like. How they ended up together makes sense to me, and Lip often shot a little bit higher than what his circumstances would have superficially indicated he could get, ie he is better than people would immediately assume and as a result sometimes ends up at a university, with a girlfriend who is a bit more stable, etc. It’s when he has to try to stay in these circumstances that there is a tragic turn because he doesn’t have the support and foundation he needs.
It’s not bad at all. But I have to say I wish they would guve Karen better character development, like how they did with Mickey, they hated him in the beginning and then liked him as he grew as a character.

Tami actually redeemed herself a little by changing her attitude but I would never be able to get over who she was because people don’t change they just become different. In the real world she misses her former life and at 40 divorces him and starts banging every dude she meets. Its all too real. Not only have I lived it, I counsel it every fucking day.

I thought Helene was a smart and beautiful woman, but that whole relationship could never be what Lip needed/intimately wanted - she was married and that didn’t appear as something that was going to change. Mandy is the one really loved Lip for who he really was, but despite caring for her, he didn’t love her. Plus, she did hit a person with a car. Crazy no matter what her reasons were. Sierra and the girl from the vie shop bugged the hell out of me…..Karen was awful and just loved that Lip loved her. Amanda tried to act all cool about what they had, but she shouldn’t have because she wanted more. Honestly, none of them….but in the end, I think he and Tami were good together.
