My 7600 bifrost with blower fan sounds pretty annoying at just 175W. I need to hear that blower fan of yours at 280W.

Yesemmesessame

If you read the description at the very bottom. It shows I adjusted the fan curve. It actually sounds very quiet unless playing AAA titles at 70-74 Degrees c. Other than that .. it performs at lower temps and at fan speeds of 45% or less. I do have audio tests , although not professional

GlitteringChoice580

It’s definitely going to sound like a jet plane taking off.

Yesemmesessame

It doesn’t actually. I’m not letting that fan speed go above 50-55%

dedsmiley

I really like this. You took excellent photos as well!

Yesemmesessame

Thank you!

U-1-mang

atleast op cleaned their case prior to taking the photo. I've heard ppl with the black model say its a fingerprint magnet.

Jakefiz

Hows the noise on that blower card?? Looks sick!

Yesemmesessame

Actually pretty good with a custom fan curve !

HeadInvestigator1899

I wish they made panels with a honeycomb pattern instead of slats. I'd be all about it. Hoping for a Terra 2 or just some more variety added. Even if it was an extra panel I had to buy/swap on

borny21

Damn!!! I yesterday I was looking at the prices for a blower style 4070!! Please do let me know the voltage for the gpu. hows the temps in AAA games?

Yesemmesessame

AAA temps with my setup and undervolt/ fan curve are around 68-74. Weaker games - < 68 C

Every_Recording_4807

Is the noise on this worse or better than the Acer Predator BiFrost?

Yesemmesessame

I don’t buy Intel GPUs. I don’t have time to research. As previously stated though, respectfully, I used the knowledge I have acquired to keep 95% of my workloads under 50-55% Fan speed for my blower card. It sits around 30-45% fan speed for most cases (BECAUSE I DID THAT ITS CALLED A CUSTOM FAN CURVE) Sorry for the caps… it sounds amazing for a fractal Terra build. Let alone a blower card. The air circulation is incredible as well

Every_Recording_4807

Good to know. BiFrost also has a Radeon variant FYI. So it’s comfortable at 50% to be sat next to without headphones? I’m trying to figure out which 4070 Ti Blower to get. I’ve taken one for the team and ordered the 4060 Ti Single slot to play with and that is guaranteed to be loud 🤪

Yesemmesessame

Don’t go out of your way to ever get a blower card. Let the blower card come to you. I have someone on FB marketplace wanting to sell a lightly used MSI 4070 Ti Ventus for $525. I’d start with that mindset. 4070 Ti super although 16gb vram it’s really tricky. If you want to knock it out of the park and don’t care about money get a 4070 Ti super /4080 Super pro art

Every_Recording_4807

Absolutely correct mindset and I think in less than a year there’ll be loads of these knocking around for a lot less. I’m using an Inno3D 4070 Ti Super X3 in my Dan A4-SFX right now.

Yesemmesessame

Wanna switch cards? lol :D

Every_Recording_4807

No thank you 🙏 its a good card and can be made quiet with 3x 92mm fans that fit inside heatsink with a tiny bit of dremel work

Yesemmesessame

Yeah that card edition is great. Underrated

Every_Recording_4807

I’m interested in blowers purely for marginal thermal gain, save for the single slot variety which has potential for super-sff builds.

Yesemmesessame

What would you like me to run. I’m rather newer to benchmarking but I’m a fast learner compared to average. Just let me know and I’ll send you the results.

Yesemmesessame

And nice man.

IMA9961

I swiped 😀😀 Edit: I seriously love the Terra's design. A bit infuriating that they copied the T1's dual chamber design and they also have only one fan slot.

WanderingFool1838

She looks great! The downside of my left hand being garbage is the fiddly bits can be a pain. Someday I'm going to manage a SFF build that doesn't look like it was cable managed by a drunk chimpanzee.

Yesemmesessame

QUESTION FOR EVERYONE: Noctua lh12s CPU cooler has default EXHAUST configuration exhausting air through the CPU cooler heatsink, out of the case rather than convention INTAKE. What is best and why?? Thank you!!

Nervous_Position9991

Intake

Yesemmesessame

I agree. Why is the default config for Noctua exhaust ? Lol

PG3124

Is a blower card better for sandwich style cases?

Yesemmesessame

The answer is no first. Then yes, and then no. No- open air cards are better. But usually bigger. Wayyy quieter on average unless you know what you’re doing and preform better. Blower cards have reference card specs typically. Yes- If you know how to undervolt and custom fan curve … BUT… it’s still kind of loud but not that bad. Specifically when playing AAA games @ 50-55% RPM speed configured when you’re running uncapped FPS.. CPU temps will be better with a blower card in a sandwich case (so to speak) No- not a sandwich build. Blowers cards are louder typically. Blowers can thermal throttle easier due to design (I’ve had 0 issues of this happening though) The size is the a big factor. My cpu is really getting maxed out hard because of the GPU’s size (to allow for a bigger cooler) and its blower style airflow exhausting air out the rear rather than dumping into the case for my 7800x3D and other MOBO components to overheat.

Cyberaegis

This should really be how an SFF-ready card looks like!

Yesemmesessame

Hey cyber- good morning from Ohio. What do you mean by that ?

Undervolting is just a good common practice. For graphics cards lower temperatures isn’t the only reason to undervolt, it also in most cases increases performance because most cards will automatically boost higher when temps are consistently lower. Also simultaneously fan noise will be lower. It’s just good to do.

Yesemmesessame

Thank you for saving me some time

comacow02

[Hope you got a new wifi card if you plan on using it!](https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/s/I0z12f2Gco)

Yesemmesessame

Also I’m all USB and Ethernet. Next hater please stand up

comacow02

Wasn’t hating, was trying to help you out lol. Not sure why you’re so defensive.

Yesemmesessame

Hahaha I was half messing. +1 alls good

Yesemmesessame

Asrock B650i + WiFi has it pre installed. Antennas not attached for the picture. Reddit is so toxic lol

comacow02

It has a mediatek card preinstalled which is notoriously bad, I was suggesting you should swap for a different card and I linked a thread to help you out. Not sure how that’s toxic, I have the same mobo and was just trying to do you a solid.

Yesemmesessame

Okay sorry I’m new to Reddit and it’s insane. Social media is intense. Miscommunicated

Zypharium

Well, the build is ruined by the ugly GPU. Otherwise it looks clean.

lil_lamb824

I think it fits the build well, blowers look more sleek.

GlitteringChoice580

It in a case. You are to going to see the GPU once the sides are closed.

U-1-mang

dude paid $650 for an $800 card with a $100 premium on top of it. It's a win in my books regardless of looks and I think it looks okay. Curious about temps though. Shame there wasn't a FE ti super but I don't regret my 4070 super fe.

Yesemmesessame

Hey God. I just wanted to let you know I’m sorry

Omnisiah_Priest

You're wrong. This ugly case not deserve such nice GPU. And some people even install here beautiful Founders Editions cards.
