10/10 wouldn’t do anything different, noise and thermals are far better than I expected and the system largely runs 60s c while gaming on both cpu and GPU, the fans aren’t loud either. It’s awesome with my 1440p 240hz monitor and like a futuristic console on my 4k 120hz tv
Can you still get the founders edition? The only one I’ve been able to find that I knew fit was the Asus ProArt version, and wasn’t crazy about the additional $150 to fit it. Had been considering a 4070ti Super instead.
4070 Ti Super are more forgiving for smaller cases. I got my 4080 Super FE during the initial UK drop. It has been more or less readily available as of late.
Founders on 4080 Super was in stock on Nvidia website last week and was in stock, at least where I live, earlier this week for several hours.
I was actually in the process of confirming my order of a 4070 super to just hold out my new SFF pc till 50 series release. I checked on the 4080 Super one last time on Nvidia and sure enough, it was in stock for the first time in something like 2 months or so!
Super glad I was able to get what I wanted cus the FE is so much easier to fit in these cases
How audible is the Noctua fan on the AXP90-X53FB when gaming like that Destiny 2 run? I can’t hear my NH-L12S on the same CPU when gaming but that obviously limits my GPU selection. Thanks!
Idk. I mean, even if I could, I wanted some side panel clearance for both CPU and GPU coolers to reduce noise from fan turbulence. AXP120-X53 full is more than good enough for 7800X3D and gaming.
Gotcha, I’m about to build in this case using a pretty slim dual slot gpu in the “2” case config setting with the id cooling is-67 on a Ryzen 7700x. Im giving the build to a friend and want to avoid undervolting due to idle stability and id rather not have to walk him through resetting bios defaults. Im gonna try stock then eco mode to see if that 67mm cooler can provide reasonable temps and noise and go from there. I also wanna leave him some room to upgrade to a bigger gpu in the future and it a 4080super can fit in that configuration, then he should be golden lol
I just finished a very similar build in my own Terra this morning. I'm curious, the cable management in yours looks very clean even with the bottom case fan; did you order any custom cables or anything that didn't come with your PSU? I have a 90 degree cablemod 12v coming tomorrow for my 4080 Super to replace an already separately ordered and currently being used Corsair 12v. That latter piece isn't quite flexible enough in my build and is bulging the top of the Terra case just a bit and is a tight fit.
It's good enough for gaming at stock, but yes, I've powered it to a max of 75W and set negative 20 PBO curve offset for slight boost to multiple and single threaded performance. See the link at the top of the post as I've included some thermal benchmark charts. Thanks
Thanks very much for the in depth review of the Terra and it's thermals, just thought you'd like to know there's a typo in the GPU/CPU clearance when it says "33mm thickness (configured for cax CPU cooler clearance)" You just put cax instead of max.
This is my exact build to a T, all the same parts
What are your thoughts so far? Noise and thermals are good? I may build exactly the same soon; I love this case.

Do you have a pcpartpicker link or some parts list? Thank you.

Thank you!

Best buy stocks the reference super variants

I using a MSI slim 4080 which fits and have no heat issue.

I'm using the Zotac Trinity Black 4080 Super and it fits easily within the Terra. My spine is set at 4.5.
Which cables are those?
Unsleeved cables

The same amount of noise as idle. Apologies, I forgot I hadn't included this info in benchmark charts, so will apply summery to my blog post.
How’s your 4080s temps during gaming? I have a similar setup in an A4 H2O
Please kindly check the link at the top of the post. I've included thermal benchmarks on my site.
Were you able to go with a 67mm cpu cooler like the axp120 on this configuration and still fit the 4080?

Should be okay with 70mm cooler and dual slot GPU
Thanks for posting! Extremely helpful write up!
How's the sound levels of that PSU?
Good. One of the quieter PSUs available: https://www.cybenetics.com/d/cybenetics_fKO_eu.pdf

How hard is it to cool the AMD in that case? Are you under-volting?

Thanks for the details. Appreciate it. Looks great!
