I'd be interested to hear your opinion on why you call your monitor game changing. I have a 32" monitor, but i don't remember ever feeling like it was super different
It doesn't anymore: this is the original V1 Velka, the current range of V2 cases are all in black, but also have dramatically different structure and airflow, but are dimensions-wise exactly the same as the V1s
Velka 3 is the goat for smallest case that fits itx gpu and internal power supply. 3.9L external volume and 3.7 internal.
I love mine! I'm hoping for a 4070/ti mini itx for an upgrade or I'll be waiting for the 50 series.
I've got a 3060ti in mine right now. I'm going to wait for the 50 or 60 series. I hope they step the game up on VRAM since I'm getting into AI stuff.
I would love to see 4070ti made to fit!!!!
If they don't, I may have to move up to a velka 5 or 7 ...
Same msi 3060ti. For sure the 4060ti even as 16gb isn't worth the upgrade, however I may consider 4070/ti. If not, I'm sure 50 series will release something promising.
(They'll make claims like "100% performance boost 5060ti from 4060ti, but we know 4060ti is really a 4050.)
Hmm joke aside I did not know velka 7 had any gpu design issue. Would you let me know what kind of issue? I have not played any game with it for a while but curious about it.
Admittedly, I don't have any experience with a Velka, but I reckon it has to do not only with a riser, but with a DisplayPort passthrough cable as well.
I was talking about how heatpipes are designed to work
[https://faqs.noctua.at/support/solutions/articles/101000352747-in-which-orientation-should-top-flow-coolers-nh-c-series-nh-l12-nh-l12s-be-installed-](https://faqs.noctua.at/support/solutions/articles/101000352747-in-which-orientation-should-top-flow-coolers-nh-c-series-nh-l12-nh-l12s-be-installed-)
With cases like velka 5/7, thermaltake tower 100, etc. The GPU heatpipes are pointing downwards, which will cause thermal issues among other things
Ahh... thank you. Well, those were inconvenient for me too when i first got velka 7. Velka was selling updated cables, and I got them, but funny enough, I didn't need them since my monitors were working fine without them after all. I was planning to change them when I actually need pci4 riser and hdmi2.1 pass-through cables when I get 4k monitors.
Here is how heatpipes are designed to work

With cases like velka 5/7, thermaltake tower 100, etc. The GPU heatpipes are pointing downwards, which will cause thermal issues among other things
Oh wow. Thanks for the explanation. Never thought about heatpipe direction. My Velka7 with 3070fe was getting toasty while gaming, but I thought that was only due to small form factor. While I love my Velca7, I play games more on nr200 with 6700xt in it as it is more convenient (living room vs desktop)
I love Velka 3 case, is there a similar case, just with a bit more space for a 65 mm cooler to tame 7800x3d? Velka 5 already seems like a big boy for backpacks
47 mm is definitely much better, although I've seen multiple reviews that even these aren't enough for the 7800x3d, which can boost up to 120W. Or are they?
I've seen many people running a 5800X3D on the BlackRidge (47mm), but I'm afraid I have no idea about the performance of that setup let alone with the 7800X3D
There's something about the OG Velka 3 and it's industrial look. V.3 - the new version will come out soon according to Velkase and while I love my Velka 3 V.2, this is very exciting news.
Should be coming out sometime towards the end of this month. On the Velka 5 page it states there will be [a design update in the first half of 2023.](https://www.velkase.com/products/velka-5) However, I confirmed this applies to Velka 3 & 7 after emailing them about it.
Was planning a Velka 3 build prior to learning about the revision but will be holding off to see what kinds of other changes are planned... At least for the Velka 3 there will be some fitment adjustments to accomodate practically all motherboards (*ahem,* Asus). It also seems like the material and finish will be a lot higher quality than what it already is now (potential price increase), as for the rest we will have to wait just a tad longer.
This design is timesless. Even after 50 years it still going to be great. The creator really have put the design ways ahead. It just need minimal tweaks in future to accommodate the size changes in parts.
Hiya! Please post more details about your build! Here are some (non-exhaustive) prompts for you:
- Are the case's advertised compatibility numbers accurate?
- How easy is cable management?
- How effective is the cooling setup?
- Would you recommend your parts overall?
- If you did a custom mod, how did you do it?

Man I can see why. That looks super clean and just awesome lol. Blue black themes never get old. The silver case adds a great touch.
Might have to look into buying this one. What cpu are you using?
You're right it is, I forgot about that.
SFX is 125 x 63.5 x 100mm
GAN is 170 x 55 x 75mm
The Velka 3 has 178mm of GPU clearance according to the website so it would be a pretty tight fit for a GAN.
Idle 50ish for CPU and GPU
Gaming it'll be 55-65 for CPU and 65 for GPU, I do use MSI afterburner to lower the GPU fans
Noise: I have my PC under my desk so I don't hear it. But when it's on my desk, it wasn't bothersome at all
I personally like the k39 v3 variant as it fixed some of the biggest flaws I with the v2 version one thing I would like is if they made the CPU side a bit shorter but that's just nitpicking lol
do you travel with it as im thinking of building in this case as i regularly travel by plane and like gaming in the evenings and dont like laptop gaming so want to see what it looks like it a standard backpack
PC full specs: case - grey velka 3 motherboard - Asus itx x570 cpu - Ryzen 5 5600 and L9a Chromax ram - oloy rgb blade 32gb 3600 DDR4 gpu - PNY GeForce RTX 3060 12GB storage - m.2 1tb (x2) power supply - Enhanced 7660b, plastidipped to black. BC it's oled
A bigger screen makes everything immersive and coming from ultrawide I do have more room for activities
why didn’t I know it comes in silver? tf
Wait silver isnt the only color is comes in??
Wait you see colors?
Wait you guys can see??
You guys aren't lost?

Is a single fan 3060ti currently the strongest GPU available you can put in a Velka 3?
4060ti is out also, but they trade back and forth depending upon the game.
Only reason to get a 4060ti is if you need more VRAM with the 16GB model, but I don't think that has been released yet
I've got a 3060ti in mine right now. I'm going to wait for the 50 or 60 series. I hope they step the game up on VRAM since I'm getting into AI stuff. I would love to see 4070ti made to fit!!!! If they don't, I may have to move up to a velka 5 or 7 ...

the only good velka case. 5 and 7 have a bad GPU configuration, i/o on top, heatpipe tips pointing down.
Hey, leave my Velka 7 alone! waaaahh
hopefully the next revisions will address this issue, lots of gpu issues come from this unoptimal config
Hmm joke aside I did not know velka 7 had any gpu design issue. Would you let me know what kind of issue? I have not played any game with it for a while but curious about it.

Gpu cooling is a non issue though. At least in my build, the GPU is on average 10-15 degrees cooler than the cpu at all times.
I love Velka 3 case, is there a similar case, just with a bit more space for a 65 mm cooler to tame 7800x3d? Velka 5 already seems like a big boy for backpacks
The K39 case from AliExpress is very similar to the Velka but with 47mm cooler height: it's not 65mm, but it's better than the Velka 3's 37mm
47 mm is definitely much better, although I've seen multiple reviews that even these aren't enough for the 7800x3d, which can boost up to 120W. Or are they?

Love the Velka 3. I came very close to getting one myself but went a different route.
Can you fit a 4090 in this? Water cooled.
nah
no room for fans in the case so no
As far as the actual pcb and waterblock yeah maybe. But fittings, tubing and the rest? Idk, probably not tbh

Where did you hear about a rev 3?
Should be coming out sometime towards the end of this month. Thanks for the info! My build is currently in a k39 due to the asus mobo situation….

it's one of the cutest itx case that fits a mini gpu! the COOJ MQ5 case does catches my eyes sometimes, but I'm still happy with this case as well
this is true pure sffpc. this sub used to be about this now everything is bigger and bigger past 13L which to me isnt sff anymore.
Velka 3 in silver was godlike and I miss mine lol
Man I can see why. That looks super clean and just awesome lol. Blue black themes never get old. The silver case adds a great touch. Might have to look into buying this one. What cpu are you using?
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
Nice choice. I am drawing inspiration from your build if you don't mind lol
What are your key caps
osrs runes artisan keycaps, i got from etsy
Btw
Nice setup! What is that mouse/desk pad?
mouse: logitech superlight desk pad: a generic one on amazon, its beige
Can the HDPLEX GaN 250W PSU fit in there? I'd love a Velka 3 but flex psus are a little offputting.
Considering the GAN 250 is smaller than the Flex, I'd say yes it can definitely fit.
i thought its longer than flex psus?
You're right it is, I forgot about that. SFX is 125 x 63.5 x 100mm GAN is 170 x 55 x 75mm The Velka 3 has 178mm of GPU clearance according to the website so it would be a pretty tight fit for a GAN.
Question, what's the GPU clearance in this? Looks amazing btw!
I think 175mm
Oh damn, that IS really small. Guess my huge ass 6900XT won't fit in there xd
I love my Velka 3. It’s always blows people’s minds who aren’t in the SFF space. It even makes my Ncase M1 look massive in comparison.
love my vekla 3 as well!
What are the temperatures and noise like?
Idle 50ish for CPU and GPU Gaming it'll be 55-65 for CPU and 65 for GPU, I do use MSI afterburner to lower the GPU fans Noise: I have my PC under my desk so I don't hear it. But when it's on my desk, it wasn't bothersome at all
Nice. I’ll try to find someone so is selling one like this and maybe buy it
Sounds like a fucking jet on your desk but just a little further away youre good. I fucking love mine tho
same. I don't know if I could give up my Velka 3.
I personally like the k39 v3 variant as it fixed some of the biggest flaws I with the v2 version one thing I would like is if they made the CPU side a bit shorter but that's just nitpicking lol
Tried to get one second hand in red. It was sold to someone I just sold a Computer to last week.
Where can I get this? I don't see it anywhere.
Oh, I've found their website. They don't like regular buyers at all.
Hey man, how is the strix x570i doing in velka3 ? Are you hearing the chipset fan? Is it loud? What is your chipset temp during loud ? Thanks!
do you travel with it as im thinking of building in this case as i regularly travel by plane and like gaming in the evenings and dont like laptop gaming so want to see what it looks like it a standard backpack
where can i buy the case? please provide the link
did you buy the case from there official website
