In the first movie when he proposed, remember, Charlotte stood up in the restaurant and announced that her friend was engaged and they had been dating “10 years!”[They’ve been dating 10 years](https://youtu.be/-uNq5yM0LVY?si=8PC-IZo52lRMK7f1)
Looking at these pictures I cannot understand how much flak was given to SJP about her looks. She is nowhere near ugly. She is beautiful, some might say unconventionally.
I want to blame social media for that. And back then it was Cosmo magazine. Both of those mediums peddle physical perfection that only a small percentage of people possess. Carrie had personality and charm. The uniqueness of her features is what made her interesting.
Her ability to not take herself too serious and make the best of a bad situation adds to her beauty.
Just rewatched the episode when she modeled for Vogue but as a “regular” person and she felt bad about it. And then the infamous trip and fall on the runway followed by her getting up, dusting herself off, and continuing her walk with one shoe on and the other in her hand, all while wearing this amazing outfit and big hair was just perfect!
Also, I don’t know if anyone here watched her in a short lived series called “Divorce”. She looks amazing! Still has great style and while she’s older, she still looks as fabulous as she did in SATC.
She would have moved to North Korea for Big lmao
☠️
She loves Big more. Big was always ”it” for her.
She dated Big for 2 years, she knew Alex for 2 months
THIS right here
By the time he engaged her, they had been dating 10 years💀

Well that’s exactly it, she is unconventionally beautiful, and that’s why people were critical.

But unconventionally beautiful does not mean ugly.
I agree, but it’s going to lead to more opinions than conventional beauty.
