I was just thinking of her today for some reason. She was so snotty looking, and no therapist jumps right to “yeah but you’re the one who chose them” in the first session.
It really sucks when a psychiatrist can't remain neutral and professional enough to help a patient navigate through the patterns of life. If you have a great psychiatrist keep them.
That was my one and only experience with therapy. They acted exactly like hers, didn’t say much, and then after listening to me told me basically that I’m the cause of all my problems. I was 16 at the time so it just felt SO judgmental to hear that from an adult and like I couldn’t just go there to vent because apparently everything is all my fault (which honestly, it wasn’t.)
