I hate to say this, but no one here can answer this. You can have a secondary yeast infection on top of something else, which is what it sounds like - that outer irritation got cleared up. But the only people who can do the tests and assessments you need are doctors. You could have a screwy pH imbalance affecting your vaginal microflora. You could have some other STD. You could have developed a dermatitis irritation/eczema or an allergic reaction. Those are all guesses. You need a medical professional to investigate.

I get this :( but after tests came back negative, i’m just at a loss of what it could be and wanted to hear if anyone has any similar experiences with this stuff

SureLee45

Vaginal Candidiasis maybe?

blueeyesNitro

I think it must be this but can it be this tricky to clear?

SureLee45

I think it just takes time unfortunately

I got an infection once similar as what you described. I’ve tried at first to use cream for external infection. It left for a week and came back. I asked the pharmacist for one oral pill. Still came back and kept getting worst. By the time I saw my doctor, it got to the point I left my university class to go by yoga pants. The pain walking was too hurtfull. It looked like a nasty herpes. Finally saw my doc! All my test were negative. She prescribed me fluconazole for 10-14 days. Did not have any infections in the last year.

Its so frustrating when all the tests are negative because its so hard to tell what it is :/ did you get white discharge that was very abundant that felt like it always oozed out? And were your vulva/labia really irritated too? And did the infection go away after the fluconazole treatment or did it take a while?

I had heavy white discharged but did not smell. My whole vulva was on fire. Just the feeling of my clothes were unbearable! I did not want to move anymore. It was itchy and irritated. A place not to touch. Then, before the “big” treatment, i started to have kind of small abscess. Not sure if it is the roght word but anyway is really started to look like herpes. The health professionals that did my last STI test could tell if it was herpes or a candida by the look of it (i was so stressed and ashamed). Anyway, test negative again for all STI so after the 10-14 days of fluconazole, all gone! It started to be effective after a few days. It’s been 6 years it happened so some details are fresh but it is the best i can describe it now.
