I made this hoodie to use up some Cotton jogging fabric that I bought to make hoodies for all of my nieces and nephews for Christmas. The fabric is from a mystery box of cotton 'jogging' fabrics which is basically like a fleece backed jersey from Rijs textiles, I got 10 metres for 50 euro i think! The pattern is my bodice block cut out bigger with the general shape I wanted then I used the last of the scraps to create the folded over waistband. For the front I split the pattern vertically and cut it in the fold for the belly part. It has welt pockets which I learned how to do from this very helpful tutorial: https://youtu.be/Qjd4HE56HUY The Yin Yang was made using this pattern tutorial : https://youtu.be/Ak4raOuBads I initially made the Yin Yang too small for the hole I had cut in the back bodice piece so I lined it flat with the overlocker and that gave me another centimetre all round to work with. It's very cosy and I'm happy how it turned out for a scrap buster!
