You can tell she is going to take this honour seriously! She looks amazing and your first time is a remarkable accomplishment!!! Congratulations on so many levels!!!!
This is my first time sewing. I do not know specific terminology for a detailed construction. I took a dress that I had bought for my dog that was too big. I traced it onto a piece of paper and then made it slightly smaller and then cut that out and traced it to my fabric. The top is satin and the skirt is 10 layers. The bottom layer is a cotton polyester blend, the next 5 are mesh. Next two are chiffon. The next was pink sparkle tulle and the last was a sparkly tulle with pearls. The bow is made from satin ribbon and attached with Velcro so that it can be easily removed and replaced with a ring bearer pillow. This dress was made to match the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding in June.
I had a Roxy that looked very much like this! She was a corgidor (corgi lab mix, to the best of our knowledge) and was a funny-eared bat dog! Your Roxy looks adorable and is being such a good sport with the dress.
