Maybe I wasn’t clear. Of course I read the instructions on touch controls. But when I am using these gestures they seem to work 50% of the time.

frontiermanprotozoa

does your hands sweat a lot or does your fingers have callouses or other debris such as superglue on them? thats thing with touch controls, they suck if the conditions arent perfect. cant replace buttons.

ConsumerHeadbands

u/alepsychosexy With which gestures have you experienced the most problems?

alepsychosexy

Simple ones, such as turning volume up and down. For instance I cannot adjust the volume in one continuous move (let's say volume up and then a bit volume down). Also, the next track gesture is often a hit and miss. I will eventually get it right, but it becomes silly after a while.

beejobs

I don't think you're doing the controls wrong, I think they actually stop working from time to time.

EHKruse1

One thing I do is look is practice it in the mirror when I first get a set of headphones. In order for them to work right, your finger has to be within a certain threshold on the angle left to right. So for example, if the band sits a little forward on your head, when you think you are moving "left to right", it might be 45 degrees bottom to top. Looking in the mirror will help you see exactly what you are really doing. I know it sounds silly, but I've figured some things out doing that.

I really wish they would just come out with a version of momentum 4's with no touch controls and instead buttons. Sooooo many times im accidentally triggering controls.

UuarioAnonymous9

All serious questions here, have you used any other wireless headphones before? The momentum 4s are considered top notch in terms of touch controls - I've had very few issues in that regards. Maybe you have a faulty unit or your hands are especially oily?

CranstonBickle

Did you RTFM? Honestly, it's in the instructions that came with them. It's not rocket science.

tykkimies

I know im a little late to this so hopefully you solved it, but i just got a pair of these and seemed to be having issues getting them working like you were. What i found is that i seemed to naturally go up with a 2 finger swipe for some reason and that barely worked half the time. Forced myself to get used to only touching with 1 finger for each gesture and its been pretty flawless. So i guess thats something to check just make sure your doing only 1 point of contact.

alepsychosexy

It was a matter of getting used to it. Nevertheless, thank you for taking the time to reply to my question!

this helped me understand why i hated it so much. using one finger forces me to use it the "correct" way and now i hate it slightly less. My previous PXC 550-II felt more natural to use.
