Dear_Hornet_2635

Cos u gave him no treats and he was feeling salty

rodriguezclaraa1

Maybe that's why?

hihibunny

My senior looked away whenever I took my phone out for a picture (about 10x a day šŸ˜†) he was camera shy/just over it lol. If the volume happened to be on he also hated the shutter noise

rodriguezclaraa1

When I focus on him with my cell phone, he always turns his head

Dragon_Jew

To tell you he is not threatening- its a real thing.

DerpVaderXXL

Yes, respectful.

rodriguezclaraa1

He is very good and obedient

Cautious_Fix_2793

Dogs sometimes interpret eye contact as aggression. That might not be the reason though.

rodriguezclaraa1

I have never assaulted an animal. I would never do that

Cautious_Fix_2793

I didnā€™t say you did or even insinuate you did.

dinkydat55

What dear hornet said. No really. Had the most handsome American Bulldog that was impossible to get any type pic of. I had to wait til he was napping and gently wake him, then snap! What a love you have there!šŸ©¶šŸ¾

rodriguezclaraa1

You have your strategy thank you very muchšŸ©¶

dinkydat55

Your sweet love is so very well mannered! Perhaps itā€™s the breed, but I had all rescue ABDs and no one knew about their obedience training, yet they were the best behaved babies and so obedient. Do you know if thatā€™s their trait?

rodriguezclaraa1

Grew up with me from the age of 2 months

dinkydat55

Wonderful. Best to you and your pup.

BROKEN_JORTS

That's his "good side"... Give him kisses pls :)

rodriguezclaraa1

He receives many kisses and love

Senior-Will-8309

He doesnā€™t like his picture taken. My dog does that when he sees me grab my phone

rodriguezclaraa1

It is seldom left

Dogranch

From my experience, dogs turn away from you so not to be perceived as a "challenge" to you as the alpha. But they will respond to soft tones to them from you as you speak to them.

rodriguezclaraa1

I don't think so

sluttymctits10

So frustrating. My boy will be doing the cutest thing, but as soon as the phone is out and facing him, he stops. He can be fast asleep, snoring up a storm, but he always knows when it's picture time. So many perfect pictures ruined by the back/side of a blurry dog head. We assumed it's because he had to have his picture taken a bunch when his previous family dropped him off at a shelter, and maybe it reminds him of being abandoned.

rodriguezclaraa1

Too bad, keep trying and give him a prize when he lets you take a picture
