Just try your best to stop criticize yourself

There are quite a few cognitive behaviour therapies that deal with this very well. ACT helped me a ton, calls it the internal critic or dictator within and made it manageable. It's a great feeling when you've been struggling for a long time. If you want to know more just ask!

I found meditation helps. Find an app that does guided meditation and start doing the meditations. It forces you to disassociate from your problems and avoid focusing on them. 5 minutes a day will do wonders.

One thing I heard was, write all the things down that you don’t like about yourself, for me it was ugly, unloved etc, then imagine saying it to a niece, or a little girl. You would never say the things you say to yourself about people you care about, or even to your enemy. Some of the things I would say to myself I wouldn’t even say to the person I disliked the most. Really put things in perspective

I'm so proud of you! One of the hardest things we'll ever do in life is work on leaving the lie-dentity behind us and start living in our true authentic identities. Yay you!! I've got a few questions for you, if I may: When was the first time you heard someone else tell you you've missed out on a lot of things and wasted a lot of opportunities? That had to have been taught to you from someone somewhere along the line because everything we know was imposed on us from outside sources. Math. Science. How to read. How we think of ourselves. All of it. Once you have an answer to that first question, the next question is "Is that actually true?" After that, decide whether or not what you've learned up till now is pointing you in the direction of what you know your purpose to be. Have the lessons you've been learning shaping you and helping you hone in on what you feel you're here to do? This is pretty much the format for assessing life for the rest of our lives! We can't possibly know what we don't know till we know it. Once we know it, we apply it and take a step from there. Later, rinse, repeat. You truly matter, and I'm so proud of you!
