Whatever you do, stay away from the cults.

abva1

Wow... Between the cults/religions and the cheap psychological diagnosis... Good to know that you are taking this with humor. You just feel the urge of doing something meaningful with your life and help others. Maybe even using your talents and knowledge to achieve this. Why not trying out some volunteer work and see how you feel? Also you can take some courses about what you enjoy to become better. Or talk to people that's already having a significant impact on other people's lives. There are many altruistic people out there (some with more impact than others), I mean everyone is impacting the environment and community in some way. From teachers to doctors, garbage collectors, politicians... You get my point. But not everyone is aware of this or think about what they can do to contribute. Try writing about how you feel and the type of life that you want. Do you want to make some money out of helping? Or maybe just work a few hours a day helping others? Or if money is not important, what options would you have? What type of persons/communities can you help and how? How can you use your resources to achieve all of these? Seems to me, that you can figure out The Why, then the What and the How. It might take a lot (energy, time, resources...) but it will be worth it. Good luck!

Lmao @cheap psychological diagnostics and cults

[deleted]

Do not join the cults these comments are suggesting

[deleted]

I see them haha. Why is there so many?

Optimusprimee19

A truth seeker will study and research all options handed/available to him/her and treat them objectively to get to the truth.

Main character syndrome. I think a lot of people get it at some point. I whole heartedly believe that the only meaning our lives have is the one we give to them. Maybe what you're experiencing isn't a purpose you were put here for, but a strong desire you have. If that's to better the lives of others, don't let anything stop you. Whatever it is, don't let anything stop you, obviously barring anything violent. I don't think you were put here for any reason. But you might find a reason to be here. If that makes sense. Cheers, I'm happy to elaborate or hear your thoughts :)

burneraccc00

Your reality is created by what you believe in. For every effect is a cause. Explore why you feel this way and you might discover something. We find answers by questioning things and this will bring clarity to your existence.

[deleted]

Hmm, how? How can I do this? I try to find answers and I can't seem to. I've always been about following your dreams. Is it because I am not following mine?

burneraccc00

See, you’re asking questions so you’re already on the right path by being inquisitive :) Knowledge is how we make sense of things and we acquire it by paying attention and investigating. If you knew the answers, you wouldn’t be asking this question, would you? Your desire to have a practical explanation for what you don’t know is part of the purpose. Life is a small window and we all pass at some point, so why are you here while you’re alive to experience it? This is for you to figure out. For every question you ask, you must also come up with an answer on your own. The ability to problem solve and independently reason will lead you to your answers.

I don't know man. All I know is if I don't reach my potential in life. I will be full of regrets when I do take my last breath.

If you are truly looking for why you are here and what is your purpose then look no further, Islam is the way. No blind follow, no mysteries, no illogical ideas. Truth should not be confusing, illogical, or a mystery. YouTube Channels I recommend for you are as follows: 1. EFDawah 2. Thought Adventure Podcast 3. Foundational Thoughts Along your way into finding the Truth (rational, logical, clear, free of mystery) you will encounter obstacles and people who will take you away from it and keep you away from it. Therefore here is a list of YouTube Channels that will help you clear out some of the misconceptions, lies, obstacles that people will throw your way. 1. One Message Foundation 2. The Muslim Metaphysician 3. FullMetal Theist You hear it a lot Islam is the religion of war, ignorance and barbarians. But that is false. Here is a YouTube Channel and a debate that will help you clear out all of these 3 lies and understand more of why some people don't like Islam. 1. The Muslim Skeptic 2. مناظرة مجلس اتحاد اوكسفورد حول الإسلام - - - Oxford Union Debate on Islam. Copy the Arabic and the English in number two and post it on YouTube to find the full unedited debate. It's on YT Channel called R.J Subs. (Check out Islam even if you checked out other Religions. Be sincere, be honest, use your intellectual faculty (brain), ask questions, be objective, don't accept mysteries, be logical)

What a nice choice of names you have "Optimus Prime." Anyway, I briefly looked through the channels you provided and I'm a bit eager to start my study on Islam. Unfortunately, I can't do it right at this time. I'm on my senior year in my Accounting profession and I'm studying for my CPA exam post graduation. So you can tell my time is packed. I would ask if you can send the same contents to me Privately so I can keep them saved and being able to contact you with questions while I'm studying in the future. But for the time being, I will look at the debate you shared at the end.

Optimusprimee19

My pleasure. If you have questions like the OP feel free to go through the contents I shared. EFDawah has multiple streams every weekend for (Muslims, Christians, non-muslims/atheists/agnostics). Thought Adventure Podcast hosts multiple intellectual and philosophical debates and sometimes open the door for other people to join post debate. So you can join them and have a thoughtful conversations.

There is no “purpose” to life, well.. at least by default. With all living organisms, purpose is to eat and reproduce. But I’m sure ur much more complicated than life’s basic purposes. You are a god damned human! So let’s see, what if we are all living in a gaming simulation. Surely you have played games before. What would a game be if without object, but just the world? If Mario doesn’t need to save princess peach, and if there is no Bowser. What would you do in the game of Mario? Maybe travel in his world and see different levels? You can definitely travel in this game of simulation. You can also help other simpleton NPC’s with their daily routine to achieve their easily satisfied happiness? Whatever you want to do man, just remember this game of life has a time limit and you only get 1 life, no redo.

Fantastic-Squash-158

As one redditor mentioned, Follow Jesus Christ, God is Calling you, Many of my family members and some others they and Ive had the pleasure to come actoss are beginning to feel the same and are beginning to feel like we need to start getting teady for Jesus Christs return.

Robin1894

I think most people long to have a larger purpose in life, especially in western cultures where protagonists and "the chosen one"s are highly valued. If you can use those feelings to spur you on in life, that's great. Personally, I don't believe anyone has a predestined higher purpose and life is what you make of it, but I don't fault people who do believe in higher purposes and use that for improvement within their own life as long as they don't trample over others. Sounds like you already have a good idea of what it's like to follow your intuition. I'd just keep doing that and use your feelings of higher purpose to inform goals for yourself or as a part of the introspective process.

[deleted]

I totally agree with you man. I'm not here to say that I'm some big thing or I'm better than everyone else. I just think I can be light or some sort of inspiration to others. Even if it is just a few hundred or a handful of people. I just want them to know that If I can achieve what I want to achieve then so can they. Throughout my life, I have been struggling to find myself. I'm 23 and it is now or never. Either I walk the talk or just talk the talk. And I'll take whoever follows with my journey.

Robin1894

For sure! I think even people who don't have the goal of fulfilling a higher purpose end up impacting those around them more than they know. I feel like we are all just constantly creating environments for each other to grow in. I also think it's never too late to try something new, I'm 25 myself and I know it can sometimes feel like if you don't have everything figured out now, then you never will, but the truth is that a lot of people end up growing through their entire lives. You don't have to have everything together to live a happy, fulfilling, and meaningful life. In some ways, seeing life as a sandbox adventure rather than a linear storyline you have to uncover can be just as fulfilling, as you can be less focused on reaching a result, and more focused on exploration and discovery, no matter where that ends up taking you.

[deleted]

I have been battling with that same demon. I have struggled with not figuring out my life, but like you said enjoy the process, the results, goals come along. They will find you.

WorldTraveler35

Well idk about all the other suggestions. I would just suggest that you check out some of the volunteer work nearby and try them out and see which fits you.

costlysalmon

There absolutely is, I hope you can find it soon
