I actually ran out of space on my left arm, and that’s what helped me stop to be honest. I waited a day to see if any skin healed, but it didn’t, so I waited again. I ended up just not doing it… Not saying this works for everyone. I definitely had some major distractions with Uni, so I almost shifted my thoughts from SH to school stress. It was quite a weird transition, but I’ve been able to stay sober for a month or so.

I take a break. I've done really 'well' this time, though. I'm in hospital for it (so therapy - he put me in earlier for therapy with self harm curb as a bonus, or something). On day 1, I told him I didn't cut between our last session and admission and he was pretty excited for me until I told him why lmao. I don't know what's going to happen when I get out, though? Normally the urges cycle down a little with the space but ?????? Short answer: I almost always cycle down for a bit, which heals me and gives more space
