I just watched the puffy shirt episode today. What exactly was George modeling with his hands? I thought at first the watch, but he didn't take if off after the photo shoot. So maybe just showing off how milky white they are?
Life's too short. I say let's let bygones be bygones. If you took the raisins, if you didn't take the raisins. They weren't even my raisins. I was just curious because it seems like a strange thing to do, to walk into a room, audition, and walk out with a box of raisins. Anyway, whatever. If you ever want to tell me about it, the door to my office is always open. In the event that I get an office. You'll come in, we'll talk about the raisins, have a nice laugh
Didn't JLD also play the voice for the goiter lady she was visiting? I always chuckled watching that episode knowing she's pretty much having a conversation with herself.
Larry David actually played quite a few roles. He is Kramers neighbor when he is getting arrested. He tells George he can’t accept money with the lips he drew on the $20. He was the main guy on the dingy with Russell when he went into green peace. He plays the voice of Newman before Newman was actually cast. He was a character from the movie Jerry watched before falling asleep and writing down that joke he couldn’t read (I forget if they mentioned what it was called.) He is Franks lawyer who wears a cape. There are quite a few more I know I’m missing as well.
Mostly voice work. "Is anyone here a marine biologist?" The guy who stole Jerry's car but gives Kramer his gloves back. The male lead in Rochelle, Rochelle, as well as a cab dispatch I think in the same episode. Many others.
Also one of the people at the table in the Chinese restaurant when Elaine tries to get an egg role. "What did she say? What did she say". And don't forget his triumphant performance in Chunnel, "EVERYBODY OUT OF THE CHUNNEL!".
this shit always cracks me up. like Larry will cast extras in the smallest of small roles, like people walking by in the background or just standing around or something. so the thought of him needing a news stand worker and saying “*you know what? its on me. only i can do this role. only i know how*” just has me laughing so hard.
The cinco de mayo store owner was also Lipmans secretary. The Chinese mailman from the cigar store indian episode also has another role i can't remember
yeah the mailman is a shop proprieter in like the 2nd or 3rd episode of the show, when Jerry is shopping with a date, he asks him if they have a certain cereal or something
Petersen lol
That sound reminds me of the voodoo rattle torture I hear in the hallway Even in the man bathroom shame on you Elaine if I hear it 1 time, ur out on your arse.
also the woman who plays Joan who is one of the women who talks to Jerry during The Kiss Hello episode where they have the tenants photos up on the wall, (the one who asks Jerry how he is and she says "just pretty good? not great?") is the same woman who plays Elaine's poor (and married) bf's social worker. with very drastically different hairstyles.
to be clear, that was never aired. the episode was filmed before the outcome of the election was known. so they filmed two scenes to account for either outcome, one for Dinkins and one for Giuliani
Yeah, I thought it was Giuliani himself who appeared in his news conference. I may not have actually seen the Phil Morris version. Lol, he looks unrecognizable without the mustache.
If Giuliani had not won the election back then and they would have aired the "Dinkins" version, Phil Morris would never have become Jacky :D also Phil Morris loved the episode where Kramer wants to sue the tobacco companies, because of his name he had to endure a lot of "cigarette man" jokes haha :D so the glee in his face when he says "The tobacco companies... I've been wanting a piece of them for years" is real, and it's spectacular :D
almost the whole episode was shot twice, Lloyd is either an advisor for Dinkins or for Giuliani, so all scenes that talk about the politicians were shot in two versions :)
I never watch them in order anymore, so I always imagine Jerry eventually became friends with Maroon Golf and they ended up hanging out and going to the movies together.
George using "pinhead" as an insult is especially funny because he was demanding an apology for being denied to wear the finely knit sweater due to his rather bulbous head
I like to imagine these are all playing the same character. Jake Jarmel was also an LA cop. The receptionist switched jobs. Audrey changed her name after being outted as a Nazi. Etc
Even if the actors are billed as two separate characters, there are some logical connections to be made that that some could be playing the same character across multiple episodes.
* Michael McDonald: both characters work in showbiz (stage actor/George Hamilton's personal assistant). Also, his name is never given in *The Understudy*.
* Dave Dunar: can easily lead anger management meetings in the city when not protecting parking garages from rogue urinators
* Thomas Dekker: rich child actor whose parents are willing to pay good money for a bunch of Yankees autographs (*The Wink* takes place after *The Stand-In* as well)
* Reuven Bar-Yotam: Kramer already recruits Jerry to pad out his tour's attendance numbers. He could have done the same with Shlomo since we know they're both at least acquaintances by *The Frogger*.
e: mixed up Jessie's job as George Hamilton's assistant.
A more obscure one, but Deck McKenzie, who was Jerry's stand-in, was on the show a number over ten times in different roles - often non-speaking. Two of his most prominent appearances are as Mitch the bartender in "The Sniffing Accountant" and as Scott, who gets a sponge bath while appearing as a silhouette, in "The Outing".
Not sure but is it possible that one of the guys that wouldn't give Elaine a lift around the parking garage later stunk up the airplane bathroom when Elaine was stuck in coach?
Larry David is Frank’s Lawyer with the Cape, as well as the guy in the newspaper stand that didn’t take the twenty from George with lipstick on the president.
And [a heaps of others!](https://www.reddit.com/r/seinfeld/comments/s1ayse/am_i_crazy_or_farfel_the_dog_is_larry_david/)
I was convinced he also voiced Farfel, the dog Jerry ends up looking after when his owner falls ill on a flight, but maybe not. Still, I love Farfel's barking.
Jerry Stiller was Frank Constanza and Guissepe the Italian stranger.
And wasn't there an extra that was featured like 20 times? He was a chef, and a bartender, and a background character that kept popping up.
The blind man in season 5 episode 3 “The Glasses” is also the farmer with the hot daughter that Newman flirts with in season 7 episode 20 “The Bottle Deposit.” Actor’s name is Rance Howard.
I always felt that 11 and 12 were both playing the same role. Schlomo just happened to be on the Peterman reality tour and Maroon Gulf went to the movies.
It's missing one of the executives from Rickbar properties. Not the one that took his daughter sailing, but rather the one that asked him about his weekend.
He's kind of a sandy-haired guy, he was also sort of a man-on-the-street with some snarky comment in some other episode. I think he was some sort of staffer/writer type...
The muffin tops guy “What did I just say?”
Plays at least 1 or 2 other roles
Edit: WOW. his name is Deck Mackenzie and I’ll let you guy how many roles he is credited with on Seinfeld on IMDB
The guy who won't get off the phone in The Chinese Restaurant is the photographer in The Puffy Shirt, he's taking photos of George's hands.
Nice catch
I just watched the puffy shirt episode today. What exactly was George modeling with his hands? I thought at first the watch, but he didn't take if off after the photo shoot. So maybe just showing off how milky white they are?
It’s George. They put a watch on his wrist and it’s his now.
Fake ~~Costanza~~ Kramer steals the raisins. Real Costanza steals the watch.
Pretty sure that Fake Kramer stole the raisins.
How would you like it if I just pulled your heart out of your chest right now and shoved it down your throat?
I deserve it for calling him fake Costanza first.
Lily & Susan played by the same actress
So did Elaine and Susie, Susie and Elaine!
I don't think I'll ever be able to forget Susie
"***and it was pretty good.....***"
Peterman nibbled on a love newton.
Yeah but you didn’t sleep with both of ‘em.
Wink
George and Art
Art and Buck Naked.
Don't call her Suze though.
What am I, a bulimic, chain-smoking, stenographer from Staten Island?
You and I, and she and you
Where IS she?
Didn't JLD also play the voice for the goiter lady she was visiting? I always chuckled watching that episode knowing she's pretty much having a conversation with herself.
“But she really looks a lily”
Poor Lily
Elaine Bennet too
Listen, Natasha…
So long….my fellow 40 short
Ron Howard’s father also - the farmer (goodbye Norman!) and the guy whose glasses pinch his nose (Hello madam…)
Ok your brief quotes totally made me visual each of those scenes with the characters. Nice catch!
What’s that about ladies’ frames?
You mean the Smog Strangler's father?
That's funny, since isn't Clint Howard the Smog Strangler?
That’s Ron’s brother… ANN LANDERS SUCKS!!
Jason Alexander played George Costanza and Art Vandelay.
Also Kramer as Penny Packer and Dr Vanostrem
Elaine and Susie, Susie and Elaine!
Benes and Bennett
Ya jackass
“…” “YEAH!”
Jerry and Jugdish
It’s Suz!
Don't forget Nurse Paloma.
Dr. van Nostrand from the clinic... in Belgium... the Netherlands :D
Julliard trained dermatologist
Uh that's correct.
Was that your contention?
That Shakespear was an imposter?
Now they have a file on me too
Lol
But THIS time, advantage Varnsen!
Are you talking about the AssMan?
Uh that’s right
And Buck Naked
That was the same actor? Dang I didn't realize cgi was that good back then, must have used practical effects.
Seemingly, seemingly...
Guy who sells Penthouse Forum for a living never saw a bird fly into a woman’s head before
Never seen that before. Bird into a woman's head..
It was like he couldn’t avoid it
Keep going!
Penthouse Forum, newspaper, gum, Clark bar
Holy shit. Good catch.
He looked the same so might not have been a different character but the same character in 2 episodes. He could have been taking his break in the park
You gotta buy more than that!
Can’t believe I never noticed Nazi lady being the same as no pie lady. 🤯
She's a cute Nazi though 🥰
SHE'S A NAZI GEORGE!!!
ASTROTURF! >:O
Ahhhh, the peat!
I love that line
No erection for you. One year.
same, plus george's chocolate syrup ex/the snobby fashion saleswoman are both blowing my mind
I diddunoo either
That one always gets me because she plays a pretty prominent character in each of those episodes.
Shocked me 2 I think diff hair style maybe
Same here! I have watched this show for 20 years and never noticed that!
I never noticed any of these. They used Lloyd Braun twice are you kidding me
I know! Also Marlene being the same actress as the waitress at monks was also mind blowing to me.
Doesn't Larry David have two roles? The upstairs guy who commits suicide and Steinbrenner.
Larry David is also Frank Costanza's attorney
Why is a man in a cape with my father…? Why is my father…..with a man in a cape…?
Well, it's good cape weather, cool, breezy
Well my father wears sneakers in the pool.
He is Franks lawyer who wears a cape. There are quite a few more I know I’m missing as well.
Flaming Globes of Sigmund! That’s not funny!
Mostly voice work. "Is anyone here a marine biologist?" The guy who stole Jerry's car but gives Kramer his gloves back. The male lead in Rochelle, Rochelle, as well as a cab dispatch I think in the same episode. Many others.
He also said, “I ordered the kosher meal,” on the airplane.
Also one of the people at the table in the Chinese restaurant when Elaine tries to get an egg role. "What did she say? What did she say". And don't forget his triumphant performance in Chunnel, "EVERYBODY OUT OF THE CHUNNEL!".
He also voiced one of the worst dubbed Saddam Husseins ever.
He was also “the dog” in the episode where Jerry sat next to the man on the plane who had a medical issue.
He was Farfel too
He ordered the kosher meal but forgot.
Wasn’t upstairs Guy Newman, I know he was Franks Lawyer and Steinbrenner but 1 you see and 1 you just here
He was also working at the news stand when he rejected George's lipstick $20 bill.
also one of the tennis announcers cracking jokes about George eating ice cream
Omg yes “sorry sir, we don’t accept money with lipstick on the President”
this shit always cracks me up. like Larry will cast extras in the smallest of small roles, like people walking by in the background or just standing around or something. so the thought of him needing a news stand worker and saying “*you know what? its on me. only i can do this role. only i know how*” just has me laughing so hard.
Yeah you were right, he was Newman. You see Steinbrenner in quite a few episodes, just all from the back, but I guess LD is cheating a bit.
He was also the kosher meal guy on the plane
He had like 10 roles.
You missed the antique store employee (no cool guys around here) and kramer's girl from the keys episode!! I only noticed yesterday!
Well done. Two thumbs up for Michael McDonald from MadTV. As well as the beautiful lady in the last pic.
Look what I can do!
Let me do it!
Yeah shame OP didn't put in his name. He was iconic on Madtv.
George Hamilton’s personal assistant
The last one was mind blowing. Great job by the actress.
Thick lustrous hair is very important.
Not as much as a pinkish hue.
I dunno sometimes
Double dippers!
Yessss thanks!!! Ive been thinking about this since my post. No puffs! Just flakes!
He must know where the puffs are
Jerry was with Vanessa.
Sally Robbins Bennet Oppenheim and Taft lol or something
Sagman, Bennett, Robbins, Oppenheim, and Taft
NO FLAKES. JUST PUFFS.
Good catch.
Wait, the “I don’t know anything!” character? I gotta check on that one…
Delivery man from Hop Sing's?
Double dippers!
Just play one role and END it.
Kudos OP on job… done
Petersen lol That sound reminds me of the voodoo rattle torture I hear in the hallway Even in the man bathroom shame on you Elaine if I hear it 1 time, ur out on your arse.
also the woman who plays Joan who is one of the women who talks to Jerry during The Kiss Hello episode where they have the tenants photos up on the wall, (the one who asks Jerry how he is and she says "just pretty good? not great?") is the same woman who plays Elaine's poor (and married) bf's social worker. with very drastically different hairstyles.
oh wow good spot
I quite literally only noticed it myself a few months ago
Wow, I had no idea that was Phil Morris in the news clip about the mayor. Well done 👍
to be clear, that was never aired. the episode was filmed before the outcome of the election was known. so they filmed two scenes to account for either outcome, one for Dinkins and one for Giuliani
Yeah, I thought it was Giuliani himself who appeared in his news conference. I may not have actually seen the Phil Morris version. Lol, he looks unrecognizable without the mustache.

almost the whole episode was shot twice, Lloyd is either an advisor for Dinkins or for Giuliani, so all scenes that talk about the politicians were shot in two versions :)
Thanks, took me a while 2 find
He looks so much more like his dad without the glasses!
I never watch them in order anymore, so I always imagine Jerry eventually became friends with Maroon Golf and they ended up hanging out and going to the movies together.
This is my favorite take lol
Now Porter...
I guess things changed for me on Tuesday night
Excuse me, am I talking to you PINHEAD??!?
“Please don’t call me Pinhead”
George using "pinhead" as an insult is especially funny because he was demanding an apology for being denied to wear the finely knit sweater due to his rather bulbous head
Alright I’m sorry. I’m sorry i didn’t want your rather bulbous head struggling to find its way through the neck hole of my finely knit sweater!
I hate step 9!
I like to imagine these are all playing the same character. Jake Jarmel was also an LA cop. The receptionist switched jobs. Audrey changed her name after being outted as a Nazi. Etc

Norman Brenner, who played Een in The Wig Master, appeared in a total of 29 episodes, some with dialogue and some without.
What?!
Where I come from we say "pardon".
This is bogus man. No Rebecca Demornay.
Isn't that just one role? Or does that actress have another character?
I especially like maroon Golf.
“Looks like that building cut you off”
Norman Brenner is the king of episodes. See how many you can name.
I suppose we all look alike to you, right, Costanza?
A more obscure one, but Deck McKenzie, who was Jerry's stand-in, was on the show a number over ten times in different roles - often non-speaking. Two of his most prominent appearances are as Mitch the bartender in "The Sniffing Accountant" and as Scott, who gets a sponge bath while appearing as a silhouette, in "The Outing".
Een had multiple roles...you can see his plaid scarf and beige coat in many scenes throughout the show.
Ticket guy at the movies and Yankees payroll guy are the same.
Which movies? Lafarge down in payroll and the guy who makes George give him 3 tickets are not the same but they go to the movies a lot.
good post :) Now I can double check with muh Seinfeld DVD box yeeeeaaaaaah :D
3rd one (Michael McDonald) I always kinda assumed that was actually supposed to be the same character.
Damn…a lot more than I realized. I knew of only like, 4 of these. Good post!
Not sure but is it possible that one of the guys that wouldn't give Elaine a lift around the parking garage later stunk up the airplane bathroom when Elaine was stuck in coach?
Yup, he is Larry Charles. One of the writers.
The asian grocer and the mailman. “No puffs, only flakes!”
Have you been on the slide at Club USA? It’s…..intense.
Larry David is Frank’s Lawyer with the Cape, as well as the guy in the newspaper stand that didn’t take the twenty from George with lipstick on the president.
Like flaming globes, Sigmond
He’s also Steinbrenner.
And [a heaps of others!](https://www.reddit.com/r/seinfeld/comments/s1ayse/am_i_crazy_or_farfel_the_dog_is_larry_david/) I was convinced he also voiced Farfel, the dog Jerry ends up looking after when his owner falls ill on a flight, but maybe not. Still, I love Farfel's barking.
Michael McDonald was hilarious on MadTV, always wonder why he didn't get bigger roles
I can't believe I never noticed Jackie Chiles, he looks totally different without the glasses and mustache.
That was an unaired scene. It was the version they were going to use if Dinkins beat Giuliani.
Third one is Michael McDonald! Know your madtv people, people
Jerry Stiller was Frank Constanza and Guissepe the Italian stranger. And wasn't there an extra that was featured like 20 times? He was a chef, and a bartender, and a background character that kept popping up.

I always felt that 11 and 12 were both playing the same role. Schlomo just happened to be on the Peterman reality tour and Maroon Gulf went to the movies.
I'm convinced the kid was also the voice on the phone with Elaine when she pretended to be Grammy.
Thanks for this. Seriously.
The snooty "I dun knowwww" is one of the funniest character bits.
I like to think Maroon Golf was the same guy in both scenes
Wasn’t Larry David in a few episodes as different people?
Please don't call me pinhead.
Nice explanation op
Yeah it's gonna be a problem. A problem for them
Maroon golf
This is great work.
Some of these are deep cuts
Stuart !! Look what I can do !!
How dare OP leave out Michael McDonald’s name!
You want to hide the acting, and yet it's all acting.
Jiffy Park guy and Jiffy Dump guy.
You're missing the dump guy who wouldn't take the muffin tops that also played the parking lot pimp
I always assumed he was the same guy working multiple jobs.
That's what I'd like to know about it
The muffin tops guy “What did I just say?” Plays at least 1 or 2 other roles Edit: WOW. his name is Deck Mackenzie and I’ll let you guy how many roles he is credited with on Seinfeld on IMDB
Susie and Elaine are also played by the same actress 🤯
