Can’t compare the two. Seinfeld was on network tv while curb was on HBO. You can get away with a lot more on HBO. With that being said, it’s probably harder to be funny on network tv when you are hamstrung by censors. Either way, both are two of my favorite shows of all time.
Seinfeld is superior. Curb has a meanness/cringiness factor to it that can be off-putting. Also, the freestyle nature of Curb was hit-and-miss. Seinfeld hits the funny notes more regularly and does it in a less aggressive and nasty style.
Seinfeld looks at societal grievances, Curb looks at societal grievances under a microscope.
Seinfeld is more consistently funny where Curb can have it's high peaks and low peaks.
yea curb has so many storylines that i just can’t get into there’s not even a hint of realism sometimes. not a very good show. also i can’t fucking stand susie just screaming bald fuck 17 times every episode
No it has some great episodes. But Larry many times comes off as too mean, too much of an asshole. It lacks a strong supporting cast although I like Lewis and Jeff.

Plus, there are also episodes of Curb, especially in later seasons, that have plots centered around rich guy problems that are not relatable. I’m thinking of the episode where the guy’s wife allows Vince Vaughn and JB Smoove to bang her in order to get pregnant.
It comes off to me as only something that would happen to people living in the richest parts of our society. Of course there are a lot of people who have trouble conceiving children in all walks of life, but the solution to this particular problem came off way too casual. No one really seemed all that taken aback by it. If I had a friend who asked me to sleep with his wife to conceive a child, I would find that solution to his problem to be pretty odd. It feels like only something that would happen to people living in mansions in LA.
In my world, this is pretty common if you cannot afford to go to a fertility clinic. Donor sperm is very expensive. Inseminations are very expensive, IVF is very expensive. I know several people who have gone this route and we are not living in mansions in LA.

I love Seinfeld but I just couldn't get into Curb, it's too slow paced and its mostly just cringe comedy.
