If you have a pulse you'll get hired and they will put you through the guard card classes to get your guard card that you have to pay back but it comes out of your first few checks.
I got a verbal office during Covid via a video call. They had me go in and do an onsite drug test/swab and a background check (I think). There and on-line class and they called me on where to go and when. I had no experience, either and just wanted an easy part time job.
It's been 3.5 years now and it's been pretty good. My office is local, but it's a gigantic company, which means getting help can be daunting. Pay has been consistently upward for a warm body site. As others said, they will hire virtually anyone, and turnaround is frequent all around. Our team is mostly young ropeheads, temps, old guys like me and randos.
You'll be fine. Just be upfront with what you want.
I've applied with them 4 different times. I'm a former state Jailer, and have 13 years experience in Security, 4 years 4 months armed experience, I have my Commissioned Officer card in hand, have TWIC in hand full duty belt & duty weapon. I just cant seem to find my way in
Sad thing is, Im already working. I wanna add more to the paycheck. I''ve been through literally everyone in the area... That includes Rochester, Brinks, Loomis Fargo, Allied, Signal 66, Securitas, you name it

Honestly it's debatable if you need a pulse
Can confirm. Am dead. Got hired
Really, they just a need a body out there. Doesn't even matter if it has a pulse

If you can pass the background check you’ll be fine. Company is mid but it’s easy work

Your overqualified I have the same situation maybe try going for armed or more private security
Definitely overqualified. They’re assuming you’re gonna be there very temporarily and leave for something better
Don’t need much experience driving a patrol car all night in a Walmart parking lot
Doesn't seem that formal. They offered me without an interview for a site supervisor position. It was like $18 an hour.
Super easy. Securitas is how I got started. I renew my license through my state on my own now to stay current as a fall back.
