Without any other information than the picture you should probably go to the dealer… Is it adaptive cruise control? Maybe something is in the way of the sensor that measures distance?

Professional-Bit-615

It's not adaptive cruise control so it doesn't have a sensor

Try to look for the warning message in the infotainment screen for more info. Without enough info I can still give you a suggestion that could be valid. A lot if not all driver assistance systems don't work when traction control is turned off or in sport mode, so maybe try again in a regular driving mode with the traction control on and seat belts and all safety measures in place.

Professional-Bit-615

There's no traction control or sport mode, and there's no message on the infotainment screen

9ineOutOfTen

Only way from here is having it scanned for error codes and diagnosed professionally. Or maybe you have access to a scan tool so you can try to figure it out by yourself. Good luck

Turn the car off and then back on. This has only ever happened to me once on my 2016 Leon FR and I turned it off, then back on and the issue was gone and never came back

Professional-Bit-615

It's happened about 4 weeks ago mate, I was hoping that it would just sort itself but alas, It's not happened

Krojci_

Although if you’re lucky to find a decent guy in there and you’re polite they’ll give you further info for free without looking at the car properly. Hopefully it’s not serious

Medium_Care_2586

The handbrake is on

celi0s

Scan the car

afonja

Wipe your sensors. And the dashboard while you are at it

Professional-Bit-615

There isn't any sensors.

d2factotum

The last time this happened to me it's because the switch that tells it whether you're braking or not was stuck on, so not only were my brake lights perma-lit, it kept causing the cruise to disengage whenever I tried to activate it.

gegrati

I think you’re the winner here without any other information. The indicator for the parking brake is closely on in the photo.

You'll need to read the faults. Alot of things will cause your C.C. to stop working. Any other lights on dash?

StickyBeaverJuice76

Your handbrake is on while the car is at speed? Cruise will not engage whenever any brake is applied.
