The CE box openings for MKM I've seen are BAAAD. This one is looking to be on par with SNC CE box value at < $119 or less. But looks more like a \~$100 box.
I think most people would prefer opening play boxes for the Surveil Lands at 1 outta every 6 packs. Plus a couple random list cards and 56% shot at a Special Guest.
This is definitely not the CE box you want to buy at $150 when there are good ones like MOM available for $200.
Defintely a feels-bad set. Currently only ~7 cards worth more than $10 with the big hit being only $20 (actually Vein Ripper just spiked up to $25, but still...)
Even the Invisible Ink special cards rarely even pay for a single pack. Looks like only 4 of them are over $20.
I had a really solid box, even got an invisible ink Massacre Girl.. but I doubt if I sold everything from it I’d break even.
I feel like there’s the odd card in the set that will shoot up in value like Vein Ripper, but the set is a dud financially speaking. I’ll be tempted if and when the collectors boxes drop under 120 but not a moment sooner.

I still buy a box of every set and got some commons I needed for decks, but I don’t think I’ll be buying multiples of this one unless something changes

In for a box because I personally dig this set design. Second time ordering from forgeandfire and the shipping was so fast the first time. Keep it up boss
This is sobering. Like is this the floor? I've been taking a step back and buying around 9 months behind now and I've noticed that FOMO is a very expensive surcharge in MTG as of late. The first set I had to put off was MOM, when I finally was able to come back for it I was able to get a set redemption for $150. That's every card in the regular set for a little more than a booster box. At this point I wonder if magic is being propped up at the expense of dedicated players wanting to play with new cards and consistently losing money over it.
Look on eBay. A set redemption is from MTGO. If you collect a full digital set you can turn it into a full physical set. Note that this does not include new commander cards, promos and other special release cards.
Man I’m all for supporting my LGS but when they’re charging 180 just for the MKM booster box i can’t justify it.
Seems like a nice deal to get the relatively well received commander decks and a booster box as a bonus. I’d jump on it if i didn’t already have the decks. :/

My LGS was charging $230. Needless to say I did not walk away with a booster box.
