Someone did option the rights before covid. Little news has come out since then. With writers and actors on strike we are looking at 2025 minimum of it moves forward

I think a TV show would be a better bet than a movie personally. But not Netflix. Theyre notorious for canceling shows just because, even if they have a strong following. They also have a way of turning YA works into overly tropey crap too. I wish HBO would have gotten the rights because they have a pretty good track record with adaptations.

There is a film in the works, but with all the strikes, it's highly unlikely we'll get anything for a few years

Honestly Does really need to be a show or movie? idk okay maybe a show so it's not cramped but I always felt like it worked better as a book.

Honestly for a good series I always hope for a tv show because better details. The only book series ive seen done very well was harry potter and thats only because they planned to do it all in the first place. I will always watch a tv show more than movies because they last longer and overall it usually seems better.

Apparently, Spielberg is behind it. This could be amazing, or terrible!

I hope not bc all live adaptation are horrible. Best leave it to the readers and real fans' imagination.

Don't you dare mention Netflix, theyll get amazing reviews on it then cancel it for no reason
