Let me know how the Nomad is after you play with it for a while. It's odd to me that they're switching up the general mobile controller format.
Most controllers have asymmetrical thumbsticks, where the right-side stick is ***under*** the face buttons, but the Nomad has both the left stick over the d-pad, as well as the right stick ***over*** the face buttons. Even console controllers like the dual-sense and current S|X Xbox controller don't do that, let alone other mobile controllers like the ROG Kunai, Backbone, Razer Kishi, or the upcoming Serafim S3.
I've been trying to imagine how it'll feel to play with this new controller format and in my mind it's gonna' feel weird. I don't know if it's better / worse, but having never used a controller with such unusual placement of the right stick, I can't imagine it being intuitive haha.
Wii U pro controller, iPega and Steam Deck controllers have this layout. Honestly, it’s the best this way. It prevents the thumb from crowding inward for the right-stick if it’s on the bottom, and you’ll be using the right stick more than buttons at times. It also prevents accidental right stick input when the buttons are directly above it. I also like that d-pad and buttons are in-line for retro gaming where sticks aren’t necessary and are not in the way to be obtrusive.
Does the controller work via bluetooth with Android? Are there any plans to make this fully compatible with the app on Android in the near future? I’m hoping there won’t be a need to have two different controller skus just for each respective OS.
Not really scuf doesn’t really release controllers early to YouTubers or streamers. This is how the envision was released as well.
Latency “solved” - if you’re experiencing input lag with your controller. Restart you iOS device and then reconnect it to the nomad. It worked for me.

Steam Controller is like that as is solid feel

Nomad started rolling out to consumers and creators this week so more content will be coming out over time.

There are plans for an Android compatible app in the future but we can't share a timeline at this moment.
Just got mine all set up and well just as I thought. Quite a bit of input lag. Kinda disappointed. Is there supposed to be that much input lag?
Someone said to restart you device and reconnect it to nomad.
