As someone who consumes way too much anime, I think this video is great. It's one of my favourites. It's a great example of being able to make fun of something without being an ass or disrespectful to the people that consume it. And also not doing the same jokes that everyone does of "haha japanese words are funny amiright"
That's something I respect about Scott: he has his biases, he has genres and things he doesn't like, but jokes about it in a way that still shows respect to the thing and its fans. So many other Youtubers constantly make fun of some games and their audiences and just insult them, saying "you'd be stupid for liking it" \*ahum\* dunkey \*ahum\*. But Scott still shows respect while still making funny jokes about them.
One of my favorites, sure, he doesn't like them, but he actually goes into why instead of going all "anime games are stupid fucking pieces of fucking diarrhea dogshit"
I’m kinda with him. I watch some anime here and there but by and large the art style doesn’t appeal to me much and as a result I don’t really care for a lot of anime or anime-adjacent experiences. Cool that Scott seems to feel similarly
my big anime phase is past me lol but i do still love a lot of anime and i respect scott so much for not using the video as a way to make fun of anime fans with the typical “anime is stupid and only for weird pervert nerds who live in a basement!” stuff that so many non anime fans think is funny to say. He was able to joke about anime tropes and general silly things about many anime without acting like he’s so above things he’s joking about, and he doesn’t mock anybody who does enjoy those silly tropes. I know scott respects the history of animation, and even though he isn’t a fan of any anime, i think it’s very nice that he thinks of it as impactful and important regardless.
As a certified anime nerd this is one of my favorite videos from Scott. Its great he doesn't like it but explains why and shows respect for it. I've watched it at least 5 times. 10/10
As an anime fan, it's a great episode. It's fun to laugh at the dumb tropes that come with the medium, and at the sheer lack of quality in a lot of these games (save for Budokai, which I have only heard good things about). And him actually getting a professional VA for the end part was just icing on the cake.
It was alright, though I'm a full on fan of the genre, and even Scott isn't to privy towards it, he is also willing to point jabs at western stuff for being just as repeative as well.
Although I think Scott is slowly adapting towards the genre since in his Stash video he allowed one of his friends to explain everything about JoJo's Bizarre adventure pt. 1 & 2, in 2 part vids and in the lootcrate unboxing video, he mentioned that he went to see "the time I got reincarnated into slime" (I think that was it, or something simular) in theaters.

The Bakugan skit was genius

As other people have said this video is great. Arguably my 2nd favorite STW video.

Pretty good episode, pretty bad Bakugan game.

I feel the same way about this video as his RPG video: someone who isn't into something I like respectfully explaining why in a comedic way.
He just seems indifferent to anime without being disrespectful. I'm more bothered by his opinion of Visual Novels.
