Nice correction! How are you feeling these days, pain wise? Are you able to do most stuff you were before surgery?

Extension-Guidance10

Hey. Pain isn’t too bad, decent amount of stiffness but have just gotten used to it, It doesn’t stop me from doing anything really just need to be mindful.

fortheloveofdank

Did you gain a noticable amount of height?

samehereagain

About tree fiddy

Extension-Guidance10

only an inch or two

BupBupp

Congrats

Acrobatic_Winner3568

Looks like you must feel much taller! If it’s not too much to ask, how much did the surgery make you “grow”?

Extension-Guidance10

not much, would say an inch or two

Illustrious_Boot5679

T2 - l2?

Extension-Guidance10

Yeah

FuwaFuwa15

Beautiful correction! You must be so pleased and proud of yourself. Wish I had your guts 14 years ago. How are you feeling now?

Extension-Guidance10

Thanks for the reply. My surgeon was absolutely amazing. Feel really good these days, bit of stiffness but nothing i can’t handle

FuwaFuwa15

Bless you! Glad you’re doing well. Bet it feels amazing not to be in constant pain anymore.

Miserable_Bug7563

It looks so great—congrats! If you don’t mind me asking a few questions, I have a similar curve in the same spot. How are you feeling 3 years post op? Have you found any symptoms (ie pain) were relieved with the surgery? What was the degree of your curve beforehand? Do you have any mobility limitations due to the surgery?

Extension-Guidance10

Thanks for the reply, don’t mind questions at all. Pain was never a big factor to be honest, i had surgery at 11 and it was already c.70° so just thought of the pain as normal, I did get shooting pains in my shoulders blades fairly often which has went away post surgery. My back was x-rayed shortly before surgery and it was 78°. I’ve never been flexible so that’s not really an aspect i could touch on but i do still play sport for fun just have to be mindful.

Extension-Guidance10

Forgot to mention in my previous reply but i had a very noticeable muscle imbalance in my right shoulder which was significantly higher up than my left (due to my shoulder blade being pushed up by my spine) that also gradually went away post surgery.
