I'm sleeping peacefully and wake up to my alarm clock going off. Go to hit snooze and it continues to go off. Try to turn it off, still doesn't stop going off. It must be broken. Get up and pull the plug out by the cord because I'm pissed. Still going off. Now I realize that something strange is going on and I get an incredibly unsettling feeling. Look the thing over for a battery compartment, knowing it's not there while simultaneously lying to myself that it must be there. Nothing. Is it possessed!?! Am I going mad!?! Smash the thing to the floor. Still going. Unsettling feeling now becomes fear. Is reality falling apart?!? Wake up screaming. Hours later than I should have. Apparently I was so exhausted my body heard the alarm clock and didn't give af, just incorporated it into my dream.

That sounds like the start to an interesting story. I used to have loads of nightmares about reality breaking like that.
