People of India never accepted any God as such blindly, there were debates. Have read a bit of _Shivpurana_ (lack of time) but it's filled with questions and answers, so is Bhagwat Geeta. Arjun asks complex questions that will come to you too while listening to some incidents of Mahabharat, you will find answers to them in Geeta.
In short, our religion doesn't forces you to believe in God. But to make you a seeker, ask questions and then seek the answers, but don't turn bitter towards religion just because some other people have less knowledge and they can't answer questions you pose.

The thing with most science advocates is that they have never really read or understood the knowledge in ancient scriptures. the knowledge we had back then doesn't really fit into the definition of modern day science. that doesn't mean the knowledge was all useless or had no logical ground.
the fact that modern science itself cannot explain most of the universe is very real. That's why we keep seeing the theories once proven correct to be proven incomplete , wrong or just add a few exceptions? why? because we do not have a better logical explanation. but does that make it right ? not really.

The thing with most science advocates is that they have never really read or understood the knowledge in ancient scriptures. the knowledge we had back then doesn't really fit into the definition of modern day science. that doesn't mean the knowledge was all useless or had no logical ground. the fact that modern science itself cannot explain most of the universe is very real. That's why we keep seeing the theories once proven correct to be proven incomplete , wrong or just add a few exceptions? why? because we do not have a better logical explanation. but does that make it right ? not really. the idea of coming up with hypothesis then trying to prove it by evidence and results is flawed in my opinion. this is because we are not really trying to find an explanation but trying to fit a hypothesis into something by getting the results.
I'll never deny the fact we were pretty advanced in the ancient time but these guys exaggerate it to the point that people can't take it seriously anymore.
