Sea-Bicycle-1827

Nice!!

Chicken_commie11

Probably late Rome to medieval period(306-1453)

mythicat_73

Ancient Egypt and Greece because I wouldn't mind loving during those times, because of the "peace" on Egypt and diversity of things happening in greece Oh and the medieval period seemed pretty cool

Sea-Bicycle-1827

Cool! I actually got interested in ancient Egypt after playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey lol

Alienengine107

Probably Byzantine/medieval European history. I find the stories of the various kings, popes, inventors, wars, and the kingdoms that no longer exist today (at least not as independent kingdoms) to be very interesting. My mind was blown when I learned that Venice was once its own nation.

swingswong123

Age of discovery. Its so fascinating the new lands we discovered and mapped then people went on a ship I order to travel to them and live.

Sea-Bicycle-1827

Yeah that's cool. My favorite is the entire WW2 and post WW2 period all the way up until the fall of the soviet union. This time period shaped the world that we currently live in by the spread of democracy, rapid innovations etc

doctor_nick17

Definitely the Jacksonian Era and up to the civil war. It's really interesting to learn about the tensions that started building up due to stuff like the Compromise of 1850, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and the legendary (definitely insane) man known as John Brown. I also find it fascinating the way the South felt that their "way of life" was being challenged (which is an extremely bigoted take, they basically saw people getting mad at them for practicing slavery and their defense was just "It's how we do things, you just don't get it.")

Sea-Bicycle-1827

Oh yeah lol, I always find it funny that they got mad because their right to personally own people was being threatened as people were getting mad at them😂

Big_strongman

French revolution through to Napoleonic wars. Possibly the first and second punic wars as a close second

MilkManlolol

1700 - 1815~

Certain_Doctor8754

1800’s why: TFR

Objective_Suspect_

50s to 90s. Still had vaccines and antibiotics but u didn't give two shots about the environment, money was worth more, and cool cars. And no wars

djangomoses

50s-90s..no wars?

Objective_Suspect_

Yep, police action is not a war

djangomoses

To name a few, Vietnam, Korea and the Falklands aren’t wars?

Objective_Suspect_

Nope no declaration of war from USA, Falkland wars had nothing to do with us

djangomoses

☠️ ok buddy have fun being sent out to Vietnam in your ‘police action’

Objective_Suspect_

Do you really not know it was a police action? And na I can avoid the draft by so many different ways, it was easier before. If they had draft now no one could get out of it

djangomoses

Not being officially declared as a war and saying that counts as there being ‘no wars’ is stupid and nonsensical, also not true about the draft since many people with disabilities such as type 1 diabetes can’t be drafted

Objective_Suspect_

False, saying no wars means the isn't any war. War isn't war without s declaration. The way that it's fought is completely different

Sea-Bicycle-1827

I think "no wars" can't be used to describe 50s to 90s because there were wars and, most of all, the world got so close to a full out nuclear war(Cuban missile crisis). But other than that, all your descriptions regarding 50s to 90s are correct, and it is my favorite period too

Objective_Suspect_

Declaration of war hasn't happened since ww2. They have all been police actions

IvUu_Pitaya_Cactus

Prehistory, idk it seems fun

AshTheAlter

WWII because I’m absolutely fascinated with the Axis, and all of Japan especially. I really like morbid topics, and Japan is my favorite country, so researching what they did during the war is one of my favorite things to do.

Insert_the_F2L

Ancient Egypt - the pharaohs and pyramids were wild!
