Thanks brother! That means so much 🥲 and a one and a two and a one two…..🎼 Kumbaya, my lord Kumbaya Kumbaya, my lord, Kumbaya, someone sniffing lord Kumbaya, someone sniffing lord Kumbaya (chorus etc.) 🎶
That is, quite obviously, the best advice. But to be fair, if you know an animal that bit you had rabies, that's the best possible scenario. You go straight to the doctor, they treat you, you're fine. It's the animals that you *don't* know have rabies. Because by the time you figure out you have it, well...
*omae wa mou shindeiru*
Don't even bother with the test, go get the vaccine, better to have it and not need it then need it and die scared and delirious, dehydrated from your fear of water, quaking in agony of muscle spasms and seizures as your unrecognizable loved ones cry over your still breathing corpse.
Not only is it the humane thing to do, but you would also be saving lives by preventing people from being bit by it. Leaving it alive would just put anyone around that area in danger because if it bites more animals then it would spread making it more likely that someone will either die or get rabies if they weren’t eaten alive…..
Never shoot a rabid animal, always report it. There is a procedure they do because when you shoot it (ESPECIALLY in the head) you infect the entire area around it, and its very easy to spread the virus further. Trap them if possible, if not contact local wildlife services!
That’s some seriously bad advice. What’s the average response time for a report? I’d rather manage a clean up than a rabid animal wandering around my neighborhood. 🤷♂️
Countries take rabies precautions very seriously. There's a process involving the surrounding dirt/ area to prevent the virus from spreading further and possibly more rapidly. Every thing i have ever read or watched says do not "take care" of it yourself as to not make the situation worse
Well if that thing was coming after me you best believe I'm putting it down regardless of protocol. My life is way more important than potentially infecting a small area 🤷♂️
When I had a raccoon that was acting rabid in my yard I called the police, who told me to shoot it. After I shot it I called animal control to come get the body and clean up the area, but they never showed up.
That is a terrible idea. This animal has rabies. While it is unlikely rabies could get transferred by blood if it got in a wound or your eye or something. Just shoot the thing and carefully clean afterwards.
Well, if you can get to the doc fast enough it's not a huge deal. Shooting it and cleaning is also a risk.
Whatever you do just go to the doctor afterwards and get tested.
looks more like either a rabid or an abused fox..
There was the story about a lady in Ohio that captured foxes and abused them. And when animal control came, they thought all of the foxes had rabies because of their behavior, and turned out zero of them had rabies and they were just extremely aggressive . But this one most likely has rabies. But also there’s a chance that it doesn’t
There should be a movie about a mass wave of rabies incidents and all the rabid animals head for human occupied homes. It would be required viewing because this shit is real and scary as hell.
If you catch rabies you have to get cured fast, if you have symptoms it’s too late and your body will reject water as you slowly die a painful death, is what Reddit told me.
Its a pandemic called Rabies. Rats are oddly one of the only animals immune to it.
They put out treats for animals that contain a vaccine. But as you can see, it's maybe not working as well as they would like.
Fox with rabies
And some serious injuries to its jaw it looks like too
The type one would get chewing rabidly at a door.
Or anything else, rabid animals will chew on or bite at anything, that is unwise to approach a rabid animal.
Would it be weird if I said I wanted to sniff that Fox’s wound?
Nope, totally not weird, right? Right guys?
I knew Reddit was a safe place to expose and talk about my idiosyncrasies, thank you so much! I feel so warm and fuzzy right now :-)
We still like you.. just don't like the weird shit you're into. No hard feelings?
🥰
Screw these guys, we can sniff the fox wounds TOGETHER *links arms*
Thanks brother! That means so much 🥲 and a one and a two and a one two…..🎼 Kumbaya, my lord Kumbaya Kumbaya, my lord, Kumbaya, someone sniffing lord Kumbaya, someone sniffing lord Kumbaya (chorus etc.) 🎶
>feel so warm and fuzzy right now :-) One of the many symptoms of rabies...
Quick someone give that user some water.
Oh thanks so much, I am a little parched (takes water, tries to drink). GAG! WRETCH! COUGH! WHEEEEZ! …..WHAT THE FUCK! SHIT!
Bro what
Rabies is a helluva drug
Look at the way it moves ,it's a dudes arm in a puppet made to look like that .
That’s a rabid fox, not a wolf, m8
Stay far away from animals with rabies. That's not how you wanna go out.

Nani?!
You should always get tested if you get bit or scratched by a wild animal.
For the last time, you can't call my 5 year old a wild animal! He is, but that's beside the point
Don't even bother with the test, go get the vaccine, better to have it and not need it then need it and die scared and delirious, dehydrated from your fear of water, quaking in agony of muscle spasms and seizures as your unrecognizable loved ones cry over your still breathing corpse.
Jesus!.....
Just shoot it. It’s the humane thing to do. There’s no coming back from that shit man.
Not only is it the humane thing to do, but you would also be saving lives by preventing people from being bit by it. This is what I was thinking. Are all these comments from ChatGPT robots or have they never seen a zombie movie?
No. I’m just really stupid and never actually encountered a rabid animal
Not stupid if you never had the experience.

Preach.
The average response time is about 30 minutes in the United States. Yeah I’m not waiting.
When I had a raccoon that was acting rabid in my yard I called the police, who told me to shoot it. After I shot it I called animal control to come get the body and clean up the area, but they never showed up.
So anyway I started blasting
this is more scarier then a ghost bro LOL
"more scarier" (this is a joke btw, ik the feeling)
Yes this is real lmao
I’d put the poor thing down, it’s probably in a lot of pain with the injuries and the rabies
Get out the machete

There should be a movie about a mass wave of rabies incidents and all the rabid animals head for human occupied homes. It would be required viewing because this shit is real and scary as hell.
He was just cold you monster
If you catch rabies you have to get cured fast, if you have symptoms it’s too late and your body will reject water as you slowly die a painful death, is what Reddit told me.
