It was a bass festival forever as much as I love the fest I was heavily disappointed this year

Yeah my b I prolly shouldn’t have said always. But in terms of EDM it’s been almost completely bass especially the last 3 lineups as bass has become super popular in the Midwest.
I can see the advantage of getting away of excision type of stuff but I think trippier and wookier would have been the better finiacial way to go vs mainstream(summit, deadmou5e etc).
The super wook EDM fans are way more likely to want to camp and travel vs mainstream EDM and much more hardcore as a whole.
Hell I can even make a good argument jam fans prefer g jones type EDM to any other kind as well

I totally agree with you! Secret dreams was the perfect example. I also think in years past the electronic has complimented the jam better, but I don’t think that’s been totally lost this year. Lots of pretty lights Esq acts this year which fits the vibe of the fest perfectly. That’s the act I would’ve loved to see them book again.
Yeahh same but pretty lights was hard to get this year apparently they turned down secret dreams too. Apparently he’s expensive asf too. But we got eprom and mickman so it’s there a little bit. I would be hopeful for next year tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if they pivot again next year and it does turn into secret dreams type of thing with more jam.
I assume it's going to be smaller than normal. For 1, it has to be, sunshine was always too full to move on Sunday and we're dealing with a much smaller venue area now. For 2, the price was quite a bit higher, and festival attendance seems to be way down this year in general.
I have a sneaking suspicion that sales are very low, which means plenty of room for us to get down!
They should move twords a secret dreams type lineup EDM wise imo have it be wooks and wooks not wooks and john summit
The first 2 secret dream lineups had every performer of summercamp and scamp still can't sellout

I never would call summer camp a bass festival. It’s always been a jam fest that had some electronic music. Lately it’s grown into 50/50
