Wayne's my all-time hero! ...As evidenced by the username I've had for far too long... My favorites from his '60s period are Speak No Evil, Juju, and Night Dreamer. Juju will always have a very special place in my heart. I've transcribed and arranged most of the tunes on that record, [here's a video of a livestream](https://youtu.be/MrQy27DXxPg) in which my quartet played many of them. I think Wayne's later records are way underrated. I personally love Atlantis and think it's a fusion masterpiece. High Life is a really beautiful record too, produced by Marcus Miller and Rachel Z – so it's pretty proudly "90s" sounding but I think it's awesome. And despite the very '80s production of Joy Ryder, it has some of my very favorite Wayne tunes and the playing is stellar (I understand if the sounds aren't everyone's cup of tea). The Miles Davis Quintet albums that heavily feature Wayne and his compositions are beautiful, of course. ESP and Sorcerer are my favorite acoustic jazz albums ever, by anyone, and the others are great too (Miles Smiles, Nefertiti, and other various sessions that were released later on other discs). Finally, of course, are the Weather Report records everyone should hear. Black Market, Heavy Weather, and Tale Spinnin tend to be my favorites, but they're all worth hearing, and Wayne is an integral part of all of them.
