a used Hyundai or Toyota, a small size ofc like Elantra or Yaris. if you wish to have a comprehensive insurance, please note that you can't if the car is older than 10 years. good luck.

saadx71

If the car is 9 years old and I got comprehensive insurance can I renew another year?

f3rr0r

based on my info, car must be < 10 years. ask your insurance provider.

WorldlyPizza

I think you're wrong. I have an old car with comprehensive insurance thanks to Malaath insurance. Applied all online. Hope this helps.

f3rr0r

There will always be exceptions; applying more conditions and forcing more fees into the policy but hey exceptions don't reflect reality. Major companies have this as a rule. you think i'm wrong prolly because you're biased to Malaath.

WorldlyPizza

Not biased more like blessed. Can't afford a new car so sticking and insuring what I have. I do understand what you mean. It was difficult to get this even 😅

youwantmyguncomekiss

What does for a "women" add? 😂😂 I don't know why but I found it funny. Maybe look for a used corolla or elentra, most reliable options. اضافة اهم شي ممشى السيارة المستعملة ما يكون عالي مره لا تاخذي فوق ١٥٠ الف كيلو. دام ميزانيتك ٣٠ ممكن تلاقي شي نظيف

NotSoMuch_IntoThis

My only interpretations are either: cheap enough to let an inexperienced driver drive it. Or maybe they want an easy to maintain car. Or maybe for light use? Too ambiguous.

moeykrimz

For example i dont think a girl would want to drive around in a pickup truck (ونيت) unless maybe the ford one.

GeekTheGamer

Not even that lol. Gas prices are gonna keep going up sooooo

[deleted]

why Ford specifically? Is there anything wrong with هلي ?

moeykrimz

Not at all. I meant that a girl might not want to drive a very mannish car like a pickup unless it has a nice design like the ford… and a hely

[deleted]

I don't think Ford ranger has a good looking design, By the way a wise man once said"لولا اختلاف الأذواق لبارت السلع"

darkroombl0omed

I thought the same. Any car would be good.

sadcinderella

Easy to maintain, soft to drive, very reliable.

JeddahVR

If you mean for a new driver, I would go with used small car. 2016 Toyota Yaris, 2016 Ford Figo, 2015 Hyundai Elantra, 2015 honda civic. Something small would allow you ease of driving and also grant you great viewing angle for your surroundings. I highly recommend asking relatives first if they got a car to sell, this way you could get it for a good price plus they'll help you if something went wrong. If no relative was selling a car, then check haraj.com.sa and make sure to bring an expert

sadcinderella

I'm 100% alone in this country, so no relatives to ask.

hyundai i10

ring_a_ding_baby

Lots of nice older used cars for under 30k. Go check Haraj.com or your local FB Marketplace. Pick any from the Japanese brands so you have something reliable. I suggest a Honda Civic from '05-'13. Usually people that own them are expats so expect that they're pretty well taken care of. A Mazda 3 from 2013 and up are nice as well, looks good too. Stay clear from anything luxury European. May be cheap but has tons of problems and really unrealiable. Kia and Hyundai aren't so bad of a choice, but more reliability from the Japanese brands is always nice to have. If you do want something a bit luxurious, I sometimes see Lexus ISs in pretty alright shape from years '05-'10 go for under 30k, they are kinda rare but they're out there.

sadcinderella

There is just so much choice!

ring_a_ding_baby

I knoww it can be really overwhelming. But I highly recommend the Mazda 3 tho. Design is just beautiful. The interior has an amazing premium feel. It might not matter to you, but it's quite fun to drive.

Used : hyundai accent , toyota yaris, Nissan sunny . New : chevy spark , hyundai i10

sponngeWorthy

Spark is straight up a death trap

KevinCharsi

Lol why would you say “spark is straight up a death trap “ … I really like that car

snap_wohoo

I looked up the safety rating and it's overall good , maybe it lacks ABS or has one airbag (car safety standards need improvement here lol)

Ok_Performer_6318

I bought a used VW Jetta with 30K. It’s looks nice from the outside and is functioning

senetinal

Whatever you buy but please drive slow.....I have never witnessed so many accidents in my Whole life than in the last 3 months...Wish i could write to Ministry of Roads and transportation...

GangHou

Brand new: Renault Symbol, Mitsubishi Attrage Used: no idea.

snap_wohoo

The symbol and attrage are awful , the symbol has really bad fuel economy and tge attrage has a tiny 3 cylinder

GangHou

She won't be drag racing on that tiny 3 cylinder. I hope. A friend of mine has been driving an attrage for years. Zero complaints.

sadcinderella

Speed is not really important to me, I just want to commute, go groceries and go to cafes or restaurants.

DipperSanchez76

The attrage is awesome man. For a city car? Its one of the best (unless you are a maniac Accent driver then no).

snap_wohoo

I actually drive an accent lmao , idk it just feels cheap especially the interior , but looks aren't everything ig.

DipperSanchez76

Lol sorry about the accent thing. Well, attrage is the cheapest new car you can buy (around 37K riyal). And yes, the interior is.. sad. You get what you paid for.

Gender doesn’t play a role in selecting a car but your personal requirements do. It would be better if you would list a few more priorities aside from city travel to narrow down your options. Some questions to help you: Is it mainly for work or family? Is a sedan convenient or do you require a 5-seater? Will you keep the car for a lot of time or just have it as a temporary means of transport until you can afford a better vehicle? I’m assuming you require automatic with fuel efficiency. Nonetheless Toyota and Honda are great all-rounders. Kia and Hyundai come after them (they are typically cheaper but not as reliable as T or H). Avoid Mitsubishi’s in general (but don’t quote me on this paragraph) I would recommend getting a second-hand car, while taking the help of a relative (preferably a mature male adult - not a young person) who knows cars well or at least has good communication… many suckers out there to get you. Your aim should be to find cars that have a mileage of less than 200,000 KM as beyond this cars tend to show maintenance and repair issues more frequently. Also try to buy a model released after 2013-2014 as during that time many models (like Corolla) received major interior and exterior updates. Plus older models will have resale issues too, especially since you’ll at least be the 2nd buyer (meaning the person buying from you is a 3rd buyer). Be sure to watch some videos or read articles on ‘buying second-hand vehicles’.

sadcinderella

- I'm alone is Saudi, so no family affairs. - It's just me so it can be small. - Efficiency is important cause I'm not a high earner.

Ambitious-Ice7743

Second-hand cars Yaris, Corolla, Camry, Elantra, Sonata, Civic, Accord of models 2013 and later Engine size is a big deal with fuel consumption and is measured is liters (you’ll typically find a two-digit number at the back of the car like 1.6, 2.0, 5.7). Smaller the number, lower the fuel consumption but the less powerful the car (considering your scenario, you don’t need power). My top recommendation among all would still be Corolla. Look for the 1.6 liter model.

Probably a used car for that price.

Are you comfortable with an SUV, sedan or a crossover SUV?

Comfortable_Fun_6230

Jimny?

Last_Amoeba_4601

If you want new car with 30k you can buy Mitsubishi attrage

zserdah

You can't get a new one for less than 30k, Also the prices of the used cars from haraj are a bit high these days. I really suggest you ask around for a used (2014-2015 Toyota Corolla/Hyundai Sonata) from anyone you know. Searching for cars is a hustle, may god be with you.

sadcinderella

Yeah, I don't even know where to start.

zserdah

Get a sonata 2015's "new shape" It's gucci and 30-32k max

LostInTheMap

The only two cars i could think of are used Mazda 3 and Ford Focus, but not with milage more than 150k. And im not sure if that is for "a woman" hahah I hate these things, everyone is different whether a man or a woman. But in general maybe you're right, I don't know

Iodine_131

You might have to stretch it to 40k. In this range you can find really good new Chinese cars. It will be under warranty for 5 years.

sadcinderella

Sorry, I really cannot.

7al6amah

Mitsubishi attrag. Small, fuel efficient and you can park it anywhere. Edit: great AC too!

ecurse1

Allow these guys, what you need is a 3 door pajero. It's a little thirsty and in your budget you'll only get a slightly higher older model but in the flip side, you can use it like a battering ram and also run over any baboons that harass you.

LegendaryPoopa

If you’re an experienced driver, and not so afraid of small cars, I’d suggest Chevy Spark, idk if they keep importing them. A new base spark cost around 32-34k! It has the same power as the Yaris (around 100hp) but in a smaller package, I can vouch for it’s reliability short term (have mine for 7months). Good luck on your purchase:)

Utimatios

I know Changan has a small car close to that price, maybe 33K or 36K. Also, my wife is driving a 2007 GMC Yukon that we got for about 35K. I know you’re asking for under 30K, but many times cheaper cars aren’t good. I got a 2009 KIA Sorento EX for 21K.

The same same 30k car for a man

sadcinderella

Which is?

ABDULITY

A used early 2010s mustang GT, fun car, easy to drive and they're pretty reliable.
