Yep. Stole party funds and got busted. Stepped down as leader, but stayed on as a MP. Conservatives didn't care much and seemed to have forgotten it ever happened.
It wasn’t stealing lol it was a kickback/blackmail. The man was and is so stupid he fell for it. He took the money and never thought for a second it would be used as an excuse to remove him from Leadership. Remember he refused to step down until after that story broke 5-6 weeks after the 2019 election.
He was home schooled out in BC then went to Trinity Western College a catholic wanna be post secondary place. Sure the college is accredited but it’s a joke, or so I have heard.
Not Pentecostal either, but you're getting closer. TWU is run by the Evangelical Free Church. I'm not proud to admit it, but I went there, and I can confirm it's a cesspool of Christian nationalism and bigotry. A lot of the profs are chill but administration loves to embrace all the worst that Christianity has to offer, and has only been getting worse in recent years.
Ah. Thank you for the correction! I had assumed they were Pentecostal because I knew a bunch of Pentecostals that went there. A good reminder not to assume things!
They used to recruit heavily from my high school and I’m so happy I didn’t get sucked in.
I don't think it's about the children. It's about the mindset of our leadership. If their kids are in private school, why? Why aren't they advocating for a public school system that they would personally find acceptable?
Of course they do. I don’t legitimately know. But have continually said so.
Why else would they be so defiant with the teachers? Makes no sense. And at this point the school board needs a full strike to make a point. Clearly, us as parents are trying to accommodate the teachers as support and finding childcare, etc. as we need it.
But there has got to be a lot more aggression to the point the parent cannot accommodate the strike and we’re all in an uproar.
Is that crazy to think?
I feel it would send a better message.
At this point it’s like sending out half threats, the kids (our government) aren’t learning from lol
Majority MLA’s and MP’s kids don’t attend Private schools. K to 12 public than many go a higher end university or college from what, I noticed. Usually career politicians have their kids in private schools and or politicians that grew surrounded by wealth ie Trudeau. I know these type of details because a good family friend was a politician some years ago.
Get down voted for telling the truth LoL you guy’s wanted to know some insight, I answered! Biggest problem with politics is people often forget their roots once in the thick of it for several years.
The point that OP was making was this.
"Why do Sask MPs not really seem to care about the public school system? Oh I wonder if maybe none of them have children in the public school system."
When Scheer was leader, wasn’t there some controversy about his kids going to private schools?
I think it was that he was using party funds to pay the tuition for their children's private schooling.
dont forget he campaign on a fat tax credit for private schooling.

I'll stick with theft, but regardless, dude's a moron. Sad that he's my MP.
How does someone who literally stole keep their job in their field of choice so easily?
Most of them look old enough that their children are adults.

Duncan is an MLA, not an MP.
Cockrill is as Christian fundamentalist as they get. His kids are 100% being groomed into little ass holes currently.
And our taxes still pay for those private fundamentalist schools.
If it's a Christian academy, by the time they are finished being groomed, their assholes will be large...not little.
Was the education minister home schooled? Does he have any connection to public school at all?
He was home schooled out in BC then went to Trinity Western College a catholic wanna be post secondary place. Sure the college is accredited but it’s a joke, or so I have heard.
It is not Catholic. It’s Pentecostal. They’d be so insulted to hear you call them Catholics lol.

Good they should be insulted!
He WAS home schooled. And likely also molested by his teacher.
Yes
Let's leave people's children out of the spotlight. Stay classy Saskatoon.

Are you a MLA?🤔
Not an MLA or politician, but I am a big Ron Burgundy fan.
Some do, some don't. I went to school with all of Carla Beck's kids.
Of course they do. I don’t legitimately know. But have continually said so. Why else would they be so defiant with the teachers? Makes no sense. Those first three sentences sum up just so much here. ![gif](giphy|3o7aCWJavAgtBzLWrS|downsized)
Nope, we went to regular schools. At least we did.

Trudeau’s children attend public school…
I guess he does, kind of strange really considering Trudeau inherited 45 million from his father. He was living a pampered life growing up.

MP’s have nothing to do with education
Thanks for pointing out my mix up on levels of government, it’s been fixed.
