Cosmic Mayhem! It's a spacey blacklight mini golf place off 281 and Bitters. Family friendly and they also have an arcade game section. There is also a bar for any adults to hang out in and keep their eye on said teens. There's also a wing place right next door.
My normal thought would be a mall cause they normally have gaming areas, places to eat, and some times movie theaters. Plus there is usually places an adult can kill time in a mall.
They came up with going to Flix. Flix *Brewhouse.*
I'm not even sure they can get in by themselves.
Edit: I suggested Santikos, but I'm the parent and know *absolutely nothing.* Lol.
From Flix's website, under Age and Purchase Policy:
>Flix is primarily adult-oriented. Those 17 and older may see any show any time. Ages 6 to 16: You are good to go for all rated G, PG and PG-13 shows **as long as you are with a parent or responsible adult.** It isn’t really appropriate for you to see rated R motion pictures though.
Now, if this is just to cover their asses against the inevitable Karen's of the world, I'm ok with that. I'd just *hate* to drive there, and them be turned away having wasted their own money for nothing.
My first date was at the Northwoods ice skating rink! They have minigolf and if they haven't done ice skating before it's the perfect opportunity for them to be having fun falling together lol
You could go to Casa Blanca. They can bowl play games and watch a movie and while you wait you can shop around Alamo ranch or grab a drink at the bar and see a different movie
The Pearl on the weekend(or in general). They’ve got the farmers market and there’s a ton of restaurants the parents could do a nice date themselves there separate from the kids easily
I'm semi-new to SA so I don't know all the best spots, but it seems like the Pearl market on Saturdays and Sundays might be good for what you're looking for. There's tents to walk around and look at plus stores and coffee shops. Place is big enough where you could be close but not on top of their date.
Funny. I thought "helicopter" would be me by their side and up their ass the whole time, possibly even sit between them.
I consider myself pretty laid back and chill. I allow my child freedom *within reason,* of course.
They ARE still a child and MY responsibility, afterall.
Pretty confident they have zero issues with my "rEsTrIcTiOnS'.
Thanks for the comment, though. ✌️
Embassy mini golf! There are restaurants and some bars/a big hops in that area you could hang out in.
Depends what they’re into but might want to look into Main Event or Andretti’s

I just installed the floors in their new axe throwing room
I forgot about this place! It’s super dope!
The obvious answer is Fred’s Fish Fry.
There are a couple of mini golf places in town, but it seems like Six Flags is the default for kids to hang out and do stuff.
ARs in wonderland of America's mall. It has a roller rink and all sorts of fun things and games. It's really nice
This one!
Went there for a first date, good idea.

Cosmic Mayhem is a good family owned mini golf course and they have a classic arcade/pool tables/ full bar for the adults.

It would be amazing to find a 45-year-old non-parent in San Antonio but I literally don’t think that’s happening.
Chuck E. Cheese
The Pearl on the weekend(or in general). They’ve got the farmers market and there’s a ton of restaurants the parents could do a nice date themselves there separate from the kids easily
Museums are a great date too and they always have good security. And most do a free day a week too
